Nuria Velasco is at her prime. She is a successful Spanish biotechnologist, has created her own company in London with her husband David, and now is dreaming high. All she needs to do is close the multimillion-pound deal she has been negotiating for months with a Chinese multinational. But David's unexpected death turns her world upside down. Nuria is on the edge of the abyss, without her soulmate and about to lose a contract that will decide the future of her company. She needs a plan. The Chinese have been very clear. Time is running out and Nuria decides to travel to Spain for a break. There she meets César, a young artist identical to her dead husband. Although only physically, because as soon as he opens his mouth he is the opposite of David: conceited, irritating, and with no manners. Long story short, a clown. In desperation, Nuria convinces César to return to London with her and pretend to be her husband for the next month and a half. Protocol classes, new clothes, impeccable English, knowledge of biotechnology... Transforming César into David is mission impossible.

Nuria begins to lose patience as she discovers the hidden side of her late husband. Exhausted and out of options, living with César will become unbearable. Not to mention the artist from Madrid will try to ruin Nuria's attempts to rebuild her life with the enigmatic Edgar Powell, her rival in the business field and... the man she's always been in love with?

From the first few chapters this book has me in my feelings. I thought okay get the crying out of the way it can only get happier, right? Moving through this read I found myself experiencing so many different emotions, laughter and anger, curiosity and loathing but ended it with more tears, both happy and sad which in my opinion made it such a great book. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Licence to Reset You by Lyrian Lennon was an unexpected surprise! The plot was unusual and fresh, filled with characters who were dynamic! The biotech industry's competitive world was the foundation of a story filled with angst, insecurity, indecision, attraction and deep reflections. Our main charcacter , Nuria has a brilliant mind, a successful company and a business secret. While taking some time in her home country of Spain, she comes up with a hairbrained scheme that the potential to push her company to the next level or destroy everything she and her husband, David, had built. What comes is a story filled with an spicy love triangle, unanticipated twists and turns and heartbreaking revelations. There is nothing trite or ordinary about this book. Nuria, David, Cesar, Edgar, Camille and the supporting characters all believable and essential to the story. Licence to Reset You is a bold, engaging look at a woman who must face her grief head on in order to define her future and embrace her choices. Well done Lyrian Lennox! Can't wait to read more of your titles!
