This book!!!! I am so grateful to be on Samantha's ARC team because this final book in the Tales of The Midnight Raven series is FIRE (no pun intended)!
I loved how she brought all the characters together from the previous three books and made an epic finale. It was beautifully written, gut wrenching at times, and swoon worthy at others. From the first book to the last book, I could never have imagined where this story would take me and man, what a wild ride!
The mental health representation throughout the series is so appreciated. I can't wait to see what Samantha writes next! Thank you for letting me be a small part in your writing journey!
What an ending to this series! Soiree brings back everyone from the previous books and they get their hard fought happily ever after. Beautifully written, the world and characters are so well done.
I received this book as an ARC. I feel like such a Debby downer with this review... But this book was definitely not my favorite of the series. Becca has been a grating character for me since her book Murderess of the Midnight Raven. For me she's an extremely hard character to like. I was extremely frustrated with her throughout this book. I almost DNFed but felt I had to pull through to give an honest review. I think Brooke and Atticus are by far my favorite characters 😂 it definitely felt there was so much more drama then there needed to be. I had a hard time getting through it.
The twist was... Rough. The book definitely had me emotional in different points but I kind of didn't enjoy the twist. I guess I had a completely different idea of what I thought would happen going into this. Not that that's a bad thing! It just didn't hit like I'd hoped. There was so much drama and disaster just for Nes and Atticus to essentially save the day lol. I had expected everyone to have a bigger part in it. It felt disjointed to me. However, I will say, Samantha's writing is always beautiful. It's always poetic. I do think more research could have gone in to certain parts but overall it's not a bad read... And maybe I'm just being picky. At least we ended up with a HEA (mostly). 😂
I still overall think it was written well... I just had many of my own personal gripes with it lol. But still worth a read if you've become attached to the other characters from the previous three books.

When I tell you I absolutely devoured this read! I was so very lucky to be able to read this even before the ARC had came out and getting to reread it and it’s full glory was absolutely amazing!
Samantha does an amazing job of pulling you in to the story and making you fall in love with the characters! They always have such a deep standing within their own selves and seeing their personality shift and grow and how they’ll interact truly brings you into the story!
You will, in fact, fall in love with the ending of The Tales From the Midnight Raven…you will not want to leave these characters behind! This story wraps up many tales and shows characters growth and resilience! New friendships form, life is lived, and the light on this story comes to a close.
My jaw? DROPPED. My heart? SHATTERED THEN PUT BACK TOGETHER. Starting this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it definitely wasn’t THAT.
I love seeing all my Midnight Raven besties coming together but I hate that my babies had to go through this trauma to get their respective HEA. The whole book I was trying to predict the next move but I couldn’t. The twists kept turning but the BIG twist? Unexpected.
Sam has a way of destroying me and I thank her for it. Her poor characters go through it but at least they have love and each other. This was the perfect way to wrap up this series and give these characters what they deserve.
Honestly, is there anything Samantha can’t do? She writes spice of all levels, yearning, mental health, and adoration. I’m always impressed by her writing. Thank you, Sam, for having me on your team ❤️
This is the final book in the Midnight Raven series. This whole series is truly amazing!!!
This book was absolutely on fire!!!! I had a hard time putting it down. It was just what I needed to tie the series up. There is so much going on in those books it will have you hooked page by page. Mental health is represented so well through this whole series and is covered so well. You can feel the characters emotions and struggles all the way through.
We already know that I enjoyed this. I’m so grateful and lucky to be part of her ARC team. This was a BEAUTIFUL ending to the Midnight Raven quartet. I will never get over these characters and I’m going to carry them with me always.
This book did not disappoint. This book will keep you intrigued and wondering what is going to happen next. It is so easy to get lost in this book and connect with the main characters. This was a captivating read from start to finish.
