The Author, Lewis F. Richardson was known being a pioneer in weather forecasting. Although ahead of his time so in many ways he was never acknowledged. Perhaps this is the way some will come to know his theory and study in this book relating to the causes and origins of war. Those interested in the theory of war, its causes and its origins and outcomes will likely find this book highly interesting. Whether one agrees or disagrees with his theory it will be an interesting read and perhaps one that will be discussed for years into the future.

Lewis Fry Richardson, was an English mathematician, physicist, meteorologist, psychologist and pacifist who pioneered modern mathematical techniques of weather forecasting, and the application of similar techniques to studying the causes of wars and how to prevent them.
At age 47 he received a doctorate in mathematical psychology from the University of London.

He is also noted for his pioneering work concerning fractals and a method for solving a system of linear equations known as modified Richardson iteration.[2]
