⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ 𝐦𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 this was my first book by the author and definitely not my last. there were so many aspects of the writing and storytelling that i loved. both main characters were so easy to connect with, and i completely fell in love with the plot. the whole storyline just worked—everything flowed beautifully. there was so much emotion; i was literally crying. i really related to amelia and her personality. there was so much pain and agony, but also healing and love. the themes of embracing your flaws, accepting yourself, and realizing you don’t have to do anything to be loved really hit me hard. i also appreciated that they didn’t just jump back into a relationship. she had to grow and become a better version of herself—genuinely put herself first. i loved that she went to therapy before reuniting with him or even her friends. the part about her ghosting them was heartbreaking, but honestly, it’s something so many people do when they’re overwhelmed. he was honestly the sweetest guy ever, and i just wanted to give him a huge hug and cry because of how caring he was. he respected her boundaries while also gently breaking them down. he fought for her back in college, and then she fought for him—like, what?!!! we love to see it. also, the way he just knew when she needed space but still pushed to really know her... it was everything. supportive, persistent, vulnerable—it was such a perfect balance.
i need to go back and read the earlier books in this series to meet all the other characters 💖 ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 i definitely recommend this book, and it’s out now on kindle unlimited and in paperback!! thank you so much to emily tudor and her team for sending me an arc 💗
“Because our story isn't over, Ames. Not on my watch.”
this story follows amelia, who is known for running away from her emotions and because of that, she also runs away from majority of her relationships as well. after a huge mental spiral from her life, she decides to make amends to those she left behind, and the perfect opportunity arises when she gets invited to her friend’s wedding. she apologizes to all of her friends and mends her friendships, but there’s one person she hasn’t stopped thinking about since she broke up with him, and he’s at her friend’s wedding. henry is a celebrated author who is in the biggest writing slump of his life, as he’s worried this book won’t live up to the hype of the others he’s written. he finds out he’s invited to his old friends wedding, the same one his ex girlfriend is invited to, and decided it’s finally time to get answers on their own story…
i’m actually crying while writing this because wdym it’s over… these characters are actually my family and it’s crazy that i have been able to see each story get published in real time what😭😭 i genuinely think i read this book at such a perfect time because every sentence amelia had in this book about friendships and love was something i related to so deeply. i never thought a character could reflect me this deeply until i read about amelia, and it’s incredible how her thoughts reflect mine. aside from that, reading about the friendships in this book made me so happy, it felt like i was seeing my family reunite again, the found family in these books are genuinely some of the best i have ever read. also, amelia and henry’s development throughout their relationship was so devastatingly beautiful to read, like i was genuinely highlighting every sentence that came out of both their mouths whenever they talked about their love for one another. you could tell how deeply they cared and loved for another, and it was really incredible to see the strength that they both took to build their relationship. overall an incredible read and an amazing story! i beg everyone to please read this series, i promise you will not regret it!!
also thank you emily for sharing these stories despite all of the obstacles it took, i saw the stories on your instagram and have been there since the very beginning as a follower, so i only know a minuscule fraction of the effort it actually took, but i saw how hard it was, so thank you so much for these incredible characters and stories🫶🫶

Amelia runs away to England, basically ghosting her three best friends and ending things with her boyfriend. during this time, she has a huge mental spiral and goes through a pretty tough time alone. two years later, she returns for her bestie’s wedding with a diagnosis of adhd and a determination to fix what she broke with Henry and her best girlfriends.
music is such a huge part of this story and Emily’s writing, so it only felt fitting to include some of that in my review🥹 you can tell she spends as much time curating her playlist as she does plotting her book, and the attention to detail is actually insane. some of these songs I have never heard of, but then reading the lyrics after the story and seeing all the puzzle pieces connect made me feel like I was out here solving cases, hahahaha.
her books are also so freakin’ relatable, no matter what you’ve been through. the emotions are so real, and I laughed and cried and had the best time lost in this story (but also Emily, please accept my therapy bill in 3-5 business days)
thank you @authoremilytudor and team for the arc!!!!
I honestly have not read another book in this series. I was lucky enough to arc read this book before it comes out. I’m that person who when reading a series that could be read as stand alone novels, loves to read the last one first. I completely connect with Amelia, and find it so nice to see myself in a FMC. Shout out to the MMC having the same name as my son, and the same hair! I can’t wait to go back and read the love stories of the 3 other couples in this book. I look forward to other characters, and stories from the author as well! Thank you for getting me out of my reading slump!
is this an emily tudor fanclub at this point? no. maybe.. yes, yes it is. i honestly cannot believe I’m writing this review, because that means grand mountain is over. but that also means that ameliahenry is out in the world, and that is truly incredible. i’m so so excited for everyone to fully experience gm the way i did for the first time.
“therapy is not the answer to all my problems, but it seems like a good start.”
more than anything, this book is about mental health. It’s about the endless journey with mental health, and the fact that just because you get treatment or talk to someone, mental health doesn’t end or stop. it’s a constant in life, whether you’re struggling or thriving. which is why one of the things I love most about this book is that emily doesn’t shy away from that topic. we get to truly see amelia’s struggles and how she deals with it constantly, because it doesn’t stop for her. her journey with mental health says a lot about who she is as a person, and it was written so so well.
“you’re one of a kind, amelia ellis.”
amelia and henry are so messed up but dare I say in the best kind of way. amelia has done a lot of healing since her time in london, and henry understands her, even if it takes time to get back to how they were before. they are the definition of a second chance, and their story literally put me at the verge of tears when I was reading it.
“i’ll have these girls to remind me i’m capable of being loved.”
hadleigh, paige, ella, and amelia. these girls mean the world to me, and from the first page of rts, the fact that they weren’t together broke me. these four are literally friendship goals, and it was amazing (but not surprising) that they were able to get through a rough time and come back stronger than ever.
“and they nicknamed her the bolter”
a moment for the playlist because the playlist has me GAGGED constantly like song after song, banger after banger. shoutout to the elevator being IN the elevator chapter. also the bolter just because <3
“goodbye for now, grand mountain.”
i have been reading emily tudor books since i started this account, and it’s so crazy that grand mountain has finally been completed. this series truly means a lot, and i feel like over the past year and a half, i’ve grown with it. i am so endlessly in awe of your writing em, and i’m so proud. i can’t wait to see what more you’ll do. 💙

i didn’t expect to relate to Amelia this much but somehow, i understood every decision she made, every moment of hesitation, every time she ran it’s like the book held up a mirror to parts of me i don’t usually admit out loud ha
⋆˚࿔ and the book playlist?! author really cooked with that one !!!!
their story meant a lot to me especially as someone who tends to leave, who believes in running when things get too heavy this book didn’t just tell a story, it understood mine in a way & it’s my first book by this author, and wow i’m absolutely not disappointed ᢉ𐭩
(arc review) ugh what a good ending to the series i love anything emily writes 💔💔 i was highlighting so many quotes and i love the found family of this series its so wholesome. this book made me realize that i want a hot author who has a way with words PLS UNIVERSE SEND HIM TO ME
also!! mental health rep!! amelia is so precious im happy she finally got her happy ending
Rewriting the Story marks the end of an era. The four girls we’ve been following for a while are closing their arc.
In this final installment we finally get to understand why Amelia decided to cut ties with her best friend and her boyfriend when she decided to move to England.
It’s been two years and she’s now back home and she’s determined to mend the rifts she had caused.
This is a novel about self-discovery and growth. The power of friendship and love that will never leave you alone and allows you to make as many mistakes as you need to find yourself and to understand that the people who really love you and really see who you are will never go away.
Thank you Emily Tudor for allowing me to be part of this wonderful group of friends.
The end of an era I wish I had been a part of since it started. This book is a perfect ending to such a series! And even if like me you haven't read all the books, you can still feel all the love and care this book is filled with.
When I read Reconciling with the Rival I wished I had such a tight knit friend group. Reading Rewriting the Story, I felt the same. This book may be a romance, but it's clear that the platonic relationships in it are just as important, if not even more. This friend group is clearly a huge part of Amelia's life, and a big motivator for her growth. More than anything, Amelia wants to repair the friendship she had with Ella, Hads and Paige, and they're the reason she goes back to the States for good.
Now, regarding the plot, it was so well done. Amelia's ADHD is done with care and respect, and her growth and change are remarkable (as well as her desire to get better). Her reconnecting with Henry is so well done... I love and hate second chance romances because they make me suffer to much. As reader, I see them together and apart, and when it is well done, like in this case, the tension is palpable. I appreciated too how their story didn't overshadow Paige's wedding. It was her time to shine, and even if the wedding serves as a forced proximity situation, it's only the beginning, and not the entirety of their reconnecting phase.
I also liked Henry's character! He's such a good person and I'd love to be his friend and speak about books with him.
All in all, I had a great time reading this book. In its own, it's a great love story –both romantic and platonic love. As a final installment in a series, it's bittersweet, as it's a great way to end these four girls story and also makes you emotional.
Thank you so much to Emily Tudor for the chance to read this book, and happy release date!
i was very fortunate to receive an ARC of Reconciling With the Rival by Emily Tudor, thank you so much!! 💙

“home is wherever these people around me are, and even when they’re not near, i still have tiny pieces of them I can use to ground me when i feel stressed or when the world gets too loud.”
i honestly can’t believe this series is completed. this book was the perfect ending to such an amazing series! this entire series was a work of art and it was clear that emily put her all into it! i will never not fall in love with anything emily writes and this book was no exception. i loved reading this book so much. it took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but what i wouldn’t do to experience it for the first time all over again. these characters will forever hold a special place in my heart. i just absolutely adored the entire friend group/book club! they’re such a wholesome group and i love them all so much!
i hate to say it but i think amelia and henry are my favorite couple from this series! their story really stuck with me and just made me feel all the emotions. and i just love me a good second chance romance with a sprinkle of slow burn! like the angst and tension between amelia and henry was actual perfection, i just couldn’t get enough! but i also just wanted to give both of them the biggest hugs ever. they truly belonged together and i’m just happy they were able to find their way back to each other.
i simply cannot recommend this series enough!! while i’m sad this series has come to an end, i’m so excited to see what emily does next!! once again thank you so much for providing me with this arc!! 💙

*** Thank you to the author for a copy of this ARC. All opinions in this review are mine and are freely given.
Amelia scared me at the beginning not even gonna lie to you. I was just worried for her because I love this friend group so much. I also was in London for a year, so I loved a London mention … hehe!
Henry was always so sweet when he was mentioned in the other books and I was so excited to see how his relationship with Amelia ended up.
I loved seeing how Amelia went to therapy, grew, and was able to be someone she was proud to be. And Henry respected her! They both fought for each other and their story tugged at the good ole heartstrings quite a few times. I really loved it.
As always, I loved seeing all of the side characters aka the rest of the Grand Mountain Book Club and boyfriends … hehe!!! I just love this group so much. Comfort characters for real!
I truly just love this series and am so happy to have discovered the icon the legend Emily Tudor through this series.
If you love found family, dual POV, and just messy true love ~ check this series out!
A Love Letter to Grand Mountain is posted on my blog (linked in bio) ~ a short piece on the series, my fave quotes, and this review too!
A huge thank you to Emily Tudor and her incredible PA for sending me an ARC of Rewriting the Story! I am overflowing with love and emotions after finishing this book. It was everything and then some.
I’ve read Grand Mountain books 2, 3, and now 4, and let me just say… I’m so deeply attached to this world. Even though I haven’t read the first book yet, the way Emily weaves in all the characters and moments makes it feel like I’ve been there from the start. I loved seeing the other couples make cameos — it felt like a reunion with old friends.
Now, let’s talk about the soundtrack. WOW. The emotional songs tied to each chapter added such a special layer to the story. Every track felt like an intro to what my heart was about to experience. It brought the chapters to life in a way I’ve never felt before. Just pure magic.
Amelia and Henry… I don’t even have the words. Their story touched my soul. Henry was the kind of man every romance reader dreams of — patient, loving, and always putting Amelia first. Even after their breakup, his love for her never wavered. That’s how you know he never stopped loving her. I’m so happy they got their second chance at life together and the happy ending they deserved.
And that extended epilogue? It absolutely shattered me in the most beautiful way 😭😭 I cried like a baby, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was the perfect send-off.
Emily, you have outdone yourself. Rewriting the Story was emotional, raw, and filled with so much heart. I adore this series more than words can say, and I honestly don’t want it to end. Amelia and Henry, I love you forever.
arc review!! first of all, i want to say how grateful i am to have been chosen as one of the arc readers, i wasn’t able to properly read it before more like finish it before today due to health issues. i’ve been mutuals with emily for some time now and i’m incredibly proud to see her growth!! now lets start with the actual review.
some tropes you’ll expect in this book:
-second chance -found family -adhd representation -right person, wrong time -forced proximity
as a person who’s a big fan of second chance, i LOVEEEED to see that this is a second chance romance book. so if you love those tropes, what’re you waiting for??
amelia: amelia is a character i’ve related to since pretty much the start. she went off to england, left her friends and broke up with her boyfriend. coming back she knew she would have to fix her relationships. she was diagnosed with adhd while in england and i love how she was working on herself and on fixing things with everyone.
henry: i loveeee henry, he is the type of person i would look for when i would want a relationship (i really hope this makes sense), he’s an author and that alone made me love him smmmm but he’s so much more than that 😣
i love ameliahenry so much, and i really hope y’all will love them as much as i do!!

What a bittersweet goodbye to a series that holds such a special place in my heart! The little family that the book club girls have built is the most beautiful thing about this series and I will miss it so much! 🥹
Amelia and Henry's story was such a great way to wrap up this series with just the right mix of emotion, tenderness, and love. And Amelia... oh, Amelia. I understand this girl on so many levels. I AM her on so many levels. This is what I've loved so much about Emily's stories, her ability to write characters that are so raw and relatable that you can find pieces of yourself in. It just makes you feel their stories even deeper. Because man, I felt this one and it sure made for an emotional sendoff for Grand Mountain. 💙
I loved this book so much even though I hate second chance books. I read it within a single day and I shed a few tears. It’s so sad that this is the end of the GM series. I loved it so much AND TH EXTENDED EPILOGUE BROKE ME.
a beautiful story about love and friendship and how it changes as we do. this book is a love letter to making mistakes, owning up to it, and finding second chances (in more ways than one!) in the final book in the grand mountain series, Emily wraps up each girls’ stories in the perfect way. i’ll never get over the grand mountain series 💚
I can't believe this series is over. Warning this review has information that is learned in previous book(s) so while it does not contain spoilers for this book, it may have spoilers for previous books in the series.
This book wrecked me and had me all in my feels the whole time. This book was a hard read for me, not because I didn't enjoy it but because I identify with Amelia so much. I have felt her pain myself for years and years, so reading this story in some ways felt like reading my own.
But to be fairly honest, I loved the book. Emily Tudor does a fantastic job of representing many hardships in life that anyone can go through. That's what makes me love her books so much. You can relate to them. The books are about college students pre and post graduation, the struggles of finding who you are and so much more.
This book is book 4 in the Grand Mountain series, it focuses on Amelia and Henry's story and man was it a ride. The book focuses primarily on Amelia and her trying to fix what she broke when she left for London. Amelia did what she always does and ran, taking with her a piece of Henry's heart with her. Now they are back in the same place after 2 years to celebrate Paige and Oliver's wedding. Will they be able to work through their past and prevail or is the damage she caused too much to move on from? You'll have to read it to find out.
this. book. i was hooked from the first page, i just couldn’t put it down. i’m a sucker for second chance romances so of course this was going to be a book i’d love. grand mountain is so special to me but especially this book, definitely my favourite <3
amelia is LITERALLY me. im convinced emily just went into my head and wrote her bc its not normal how me she is. i adore her and i will protect her with my life. she may have made mistakes but in my eyes she does no wrong!
henry. omg. my boy :,) i just love this man. there’s something about the way emily write men that just captures my heart. like he’s just so soft and UGH I JUST LOVE HIM OKAY!
ameliahenry … how do i find the words? just them. words aren’t enough to capture their relationship so i guess you should just read the book yourself! i love them so! much! they stole my heart in the first 3 books but reading their book 💔 ouch!
without saying too much, the ending was just the perfect way to end grand mountain. i love these characters & i already miss them deeply. GM4L 💚🩵💜❤️💙
I can't believe it's the end of the Grand Mountain series. I've never related to two characters so much. This book touched my heart in a way not a lot of book did. The way Emily wrote their thoughts and explained their mental health connected me to the both characters so much. Having read the previous book, reading about them was so exciting. I couldn't wait to know why Amelia broke up with Henry and why she stopped talking to the girls. The fact that they didn't truly became a couple before the last 80% of the book made Amelia's journey and their love story even more touching. The fact that the role were sort of reversed compared to more common romance book is a trait of the book I also enjoyed. For once it was a girl who messed up and had to work to prove she deserved the boy and that she was here to stay. Their habits like sharing headphones were so cute to read about. They both know each other so well and compliment one another beautifully.
"It was legendary"
When Amelia said that I was swooned the two of them are perfect for each other and I'm so happy they're in a happy place even if the story had to break their heart to go there. This story shows that love is not always an easy thing and loving ourselves before falling in love is important. Otherwise, one may do like Amelia thinking they are not worth being loved. Everyone deserves to be loved.
I loved to be able to see the girls' friendship again. Amelia fighting for them back after she ghosted them and the reaction of each characters was so realistic in my eyes. I loved that they held her accountable while also telling her they would be here for her in the end. That they just needed time. The group as a whole was incredible to read about the found family in this book and in the series in general is beautiful. I wish that one day I have such group.
Since day one, Amelia intrigued me and I was so eager to read about her and I was far from disappointed. The complexity and beauty of her brain was so well written and made me understand her every time a little bit more. This book made me realise that understanding how our brain works is super important and giving ourselves some grace is also important. The level of accountability she had throughout the book was another point that made me love her. She owned up to her mistakes and worked hard to fix things wether with Henry or with the book club.
Henry, my sweet boy. Since he appeared in the previous book, he seemed so kind, lovely and pure. The fact that he never stopped loving Amelia despite her breaking his heart proved how pure his love was. His struggle with writing was so well explained. As someone who don't write, I liked getting a perspective in a book of how hard it can be for authors to write sometimes. I loved his friendship with the guys especially the one with Oliver (and let's not forget Mitch but he isn't part of the group). The fact that they kept some kind of regular contact throughout the years melted my heart. I felt like both of them needed each other as friend in different ways. They bring something that the other needed. And his friendship with Mitch was so cute. Mitch was such a good friend and present for him.
Finally, to Emily, thank you for writing those incredible stories. When I first came across a Tiktok of yours when Replaying the Game first came out, I was intrigued and immediately read it. I loved it and read every following one in the series instantly. GM will always have a special place in my heart and so will Hadleigh, Paige, Ella and Amelia. I can't wait to read your other books. I'm so glad I discovered your books.
Amelia Ellis is impulsive and emotionally guarded, always running from her feelings until a mental health spiral while abroad in England pushes her to finally confront what she’s been avoiding. Now back home in Virginia, she’s determined to mend old friendships and make amends at a long-awaited wedding. Everything seems to be falling back into place until Henry Hayes, the boy she left behind, unexpectedly walks back into her life
Henry, a quiet and acclaimed author, is struggling with the pressure of writing his third novel after two massive successes. Hoping for a break and maybe some clarity, he accepts a wedding invite, partly to reconnect with old friends, but mostly to face the girl who shattered his heart. Both Amelia and Henry have unfinished business, but neither is prepared for the emotional spark that reignites between them. As feelings resurface and truths are laid bare, they’re forced to ask: can they rewrite their love story, or are some endings meant to stay final?
This book was definitely more of a found family vibe than a romance, and I was living for it. The prologue and first chapter were insane, my jaw dropped at how romantic and then completely heartbreaking it was. It set the perfect tone for the rest of the story
I’m feeling so bittersweet that this series is over. I originally won the first book in a giveaway, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Seeing it come to an end in such a beautiful and deeply emotional way felt like the perfect send-off
As well as being dual POV, this book also had a dual timeline, which I really enjoyed. I loved getting to see both Henry and Amelia’s perspectives in the present, while also going back in time to see what had happened between them. It added so much depth to the story and made their reconnection feel even more meaningful. Amelia’s character development was incredible. Watching her fight the urge to run when things got hard felt so raw and real. I appreciated how the book explored her relationship with ADHD, how she acknowledged it had influenced some of her decisions, but didn’t use it as an excuse. She took responsibility, and I admired how hard she worked to repair what she had broken
Henry completely stole my heart. He was sweet, kind, and so genuine. I loved that he was an author and how he poured his love and emotions into his writing. You could really feel his heart in everything he created, and it made him feel like such a grounded and loving character
Emily absolutely nailed the playlist for this book. It was perfect and matched the tone of the story so well, she seriously has the best taste in music
The found family aspect in this book was everything. I loved seeing this friend group come together again. They’ve carved out such a huge space in my heart over the course of this series, and the epilogues were such a beautiful way to wrap it all up. What an incredible way to end a lovely, heartfelt series
Huge thanks to Emily for giving me an ARC of this book. I’m so grateful I got to experience it early
First off, what another amazing story by the lovely author! The characters & their relatability, the plot and the storyline was so interesting, I literally was amazed. Let me introduce you to our main characters. First off our fmc Amelia Ellis. Amelia's character/ and what she was going through with her emotions, the balance and unbalanced shifts within her life, friendships and relationships the unknown the spirals was so relatable. Her personality of running away from her emotions and not wanting to deal with them at a time, was what made her pov and chapters so investing and once learning more about her mental and overall health and being able to discuss with her friends/family after that huge break from everyone truly made her inspiring. Amelia is still in my high list of favorite fmc within the novels I read! Now onto our mmc Henry Hayes he is literally so genuine, he is an author unsure of another inspiration for his novel and too unbalanced in what he needs in his life to help fulfill and become more livelier. But then the fact he carries the love he still has for someone that left holds a special piece towards his heart, but still always being caring and respectful within boundaries.. Like Henry is literally everything to me. Now Amelia and Henry reunite after both becoming invited to their friend/old friend's wedding, ending up in each other's presence after such a pause in time! My goodness, the progression of rebuilding their relationship not being rushed but instead knowing more about what each other are doing & what they're up to, & being able to allow the vulnerable sides of themselves, and the comfortability within them being back in each others presence after such time was literally beautiful and showed within their emotions, love and chapters. I loved how the author wrote their story progression and allowed us to perceive their romance/friendship regained stronger and more present. From the found family, down to the friendships, getting help and bettering your mind, from the romance and warmth this novel brought had me in tears, laughs and more happy tears. This was a wonderful novel and I thank the author so much, I totally recommend this read to everyone, thank you!!

Thank you, Emily, for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team and read Rewriting the Story ahead of its release date.
OMG! All the feels! I never felt so attacked and in such a great way! The angst and mutual pining but the hurt!! Emily! You’ve done it again! You’ve written another heart wrenching story between Amelia and Henry and it hurts so good!
Have you ever regretted something and want a do-over? Have you wanted to go back and fix things? If things hadn’t been done that way, you wouldn’t be the person you are now. This is what Amelia struggles with when she up and leaves after college graduation - not only breaking up with the boy she loved, but also cutting her friends out once she left for London. Now Amelia’s back and trying to mend the break in her friendships at Paige and Oliver’s wedding which Henry’s also in attendance. And he wants answers.
The slow burn, angst and the internal dialogues of processing their respective feelings and guilt is just *chef’s kiss*! The tension between Amelia and Henry is just delicious!
I love how Paige and Grant meddles, how the groveling is done from a FMC’s perspective is so great, because MMC or FMC all deserve the love they deserve. Actions speaking louder than words and backing them is such a great throughline in this story.
I love the pacing of the story, character development and how previous characters are woven into the plot while Amelia and Henry figure things out. This is my favorite second chance read this year and it’s just beautiful.
What a great conclusion to The Great Mountain series! What a wonderful cast of characters, love and just real life situations.

This is a very belated Earc review for Emily Tudors beautiful book Rewriting the story. All I have say is damn, I didn’t expect to shed that mean tears. When a certain something was given back to a certain someone under the rain (No spoilers)? Tears were shed. When Vows were exchanged? Tears were shed. When the FMC Amelia Ellis had a one-on-one conversation with her parents? TEARS WERE SHED. (AND I WAS IN THE SALOON GETTING MY HAIR BLOW DRIED MIGHT I ADD) The reason why this review is so late is not only because of school, but also because my mind has constantly been trying to find the perfect graphics and the perfect words that will suit this book well. However, that goes against the entire premise of this book…. Rewriting the story, although written beautifully, isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up as you are and letting people love you the way that you are. Amelia Ellis is far from perfect, but that’s what makes her so loveable and relatable. The fact that she easily admits that she has problems, and with her recent ADHD diagnosis, everything makes all the more sense to her. Her running when things get tough. Her impulsive decisions. When Amelia questions whether she is someone worthy of being missed. The way her thoughts dominate her life. I felt her. I saw her. I am her. She is me. And then we have our love, our heart. Our favorite author. Mr. Henry Hayes. The way he wears his heart on his sleeve, despite his best wishes, makes us readers wrapped around his finger. Not only is he struggling with his getting down his 3rd novel. But now, the one girl he fell in love with. The girl who he once thought was the love of his life, before she broke up with him in the middle of the airport before she moved to England is back in his life. It brings up the question of whether their love story is worthy of being rewritten, or if it’s time to close the book and put it to an end. But this story is so much more than just romantic love. No, this story is about community love to. Because Henry Hayes’s heart was not the only one broken by Miss Mills. No. When Amelia left for England, she broke off all contact with friends, who were like sisters to her. But I understand it. Out of sight= Out of mind. (which is why I live 24/7 on Instagram). When one moves far away from their friends, they don’t know how to stay in contact with them. What are they supposed to say, what are they supposed to do? How many times is one supposed to text I miss you without the other end getting sick of it? Did she miss them? Hell yeah she did! Which is exactly why she went back. This is my first Emily Tudor book I’ve ever read. And now I will be purchasing each one of her books.
This book was my introduction to Emily Tudor's series, and I'm incredibly glad it was. Reading about Amelia and her struggles felt like looking into a page from my own life. As someone with ADHD, it was truly eye-opening to realize that many of my "personality traits" are common struggles for people with ADHD. It accurately portrays that ADHD is a constant journey, much like peeling an onion (sorry couldn't think of a better metaphor), there's always another layer.
The book centers on Amelia, who is a runner, BUT not in the athletic sense, but rather someone who runs away from everything: her life, friends, family, and even her boyfriend whom she loves dearly- Henry. So when she spirals in a different country, she has nowhere to turn but her hometown. This forces her to return and make amends with the life and relationships she abandoned, including Henry.
While it might seem like a love story but it's not a typical one. This book is about Amelia accepting her ADHD diagnosis, coming to terms with herself, her actions, and her inactions. As she navigates this tumultuous journey of self-acceptance and forgiveness, she falls back in love - with herself, the friends she left behind, Henry, and her life as a whole.
What I loved most was how accurately and beautifully Amelia's story reflected my own experiences and emotions. The raw emotion captured within the pages was truly remarkable. Plus, her "girl gang" are fellow bookworms who became best friends through a book club, which are truly the best kinds of friendships! (I'm envious)

I can’t believe this is the last book of this series!!! This series meant the world to me each book holds a special place in my heart and I can’t believe it’s over
This book was such an emotional roller coaster because it’s so much more than a love story between Henry and Ames, it’s also about Amelia trying to fix what happened in the two years she didn’t talk to the girls (why I choose this song) and her finally getting the help she needs and also Henry struggles with writing his book
I was basically sobbing the whole entire book because WHAT WAS THAT, the friendship angst, the relationship angst like omg but I’m so glad Ames came back and everything was right in the world again (after a hole bunch of tears and talks)
Oh my Henry and Amelia I love them sooooo muchhhh (nobody tell Paige and Ollie) this book put me through the wringer but I wouldn’t have it any other way
THEY ARE SOULMATESSSS who found their way back to each other, they have that type of love that just never goes away even after some time apart
Thank you Emily for giving me this arc it was everything and moreeee <3
