The Bible stories are overly sanitized and quite dumbed down, but I have to say that my child loves acting out the motions suggested in the text and especially loves "reading along" by saying aloud the picture words inserted into the stories. She is very eager to read "the Bible" every night now. It does seem to be appropriate for her level, and it is especially fitting for a very active four-year-old who has trouble sitting still during story time.

I wouldn't recommend this book as your only Bible for pre-schoolers, but as a supplement it is fantastic. It gets the kids moving and engaged with the stories. This heightened interest allowed us to question them and interact with them in ways that we could not have done with simple words on a page. Highly recommended as a supplemental.
