Omg where so I even START… this book had me laughing crying and screaming at Klara all within paragraphs of each-other. At first I was unsure, the writing style wasn’t for me but as you go through the book you can see how it just started to flow and wow was it an amazing book. I felt myself relating to Klara on more than one occasion which made my heart hurt, that girl has been through a lot and she really does deserve a happily ever after but it’s true that some people lives really aren’t black and white and sometimes we don’t get the happily ever after we think they / we deserve. Lenny Smith for your first book this was incredible you can see how much progress you have made as a writer from start to finish, I have never read a book quite like it (one I can relate to) thank you, it was beautiful. I’m excited to see what book 2 has in store for Klara, she deserves some good.

If is a deeply moving and incredibly gripping novel that hooks you right from the very first page. Lenny Smith does a phenomenal job crafting the character of Karla Berkeley. Her struggles, emotional barriers, and complex choices feel entirely real, raw, and relatable.
