Three years ago, Morgan Elliot died at Frobisher Hall.
The police closed the case, believing the man took his own life. His widow didn’t accept the verdict.
Now she's in Friday Street, determined to convince Cedric and Ambrose and the gang that her husband was murdered. Proving it, means returning to Frobisher Hall, where secrets run deep and someone is willing to kill again to keep them buried.
When a second body appears, the race is on. The past isn't dead at Frobisher Hall.
MURDER ME TOMORROW is Russell Cooper’s latest fast-paced, funny Friday Street Murder Mystery, where cold cases are served with wit, riddles, clever clues, and delicious food.
Since I read the first three books, I was able to immediately sit back and enjoy the antics, friendship and love of these unpredictable, highly intelligent, daring, determined, sometimes goofy former spies. As always, the story includes a really good mystery to be solved by these well-fed, inquisitive friends. And the writing! I often go back to read a paragraph again just so I can enjoy the beauty and artistry of the writing. Not only is Russell Cooper a terrific writer, though, he is, apparently, really goofy! I absolutely love him and his books. The only problem I have is in knowing these characters are fiction. I'd really love to move to Surrey, to live in its beauty, just to be able to sit back and observe these crazy people to see what they'll be up to next! I can't wait for the next book! I always wonder what the characters are doing between books. They are that real.
I love this series and the Friday Street Murder Mystery Gang. They each bring something special to the story and to help solve the mystery. I can always imagine myself setting in the Ops room in the garage on the sofa at Tanglefoot Farm going over the clues with the "Gang", its quite fun...the descriptions of the Farm are so real I can see it in my mind, its makes me want to go there to visit or maybe even move there if such a place existed for real LOL! sometimes I laugh out loud so hard my husband looks at me like I'm a little crazy, I don't care...these are great books and I cannot wait for the next one!
The Friday Street Murders are clever, often hilarious and a ton of fun. Quirky brothers Cedric and Ambrose have a whole boatload of peculiarities and are inflexible about bending their rules. Verity is a septuagenarian who lives in a ratty van in their driveway and would just as soon ninja punch someone as talk to them. Charlie is their adopted granddaughter and a special project of Verity's. All of them work or worked for Britain's security agencies and possess mad and crazy skills.
This time out a woman who says she is Ambrose's ex-wife shows up -- a huge surprise to everyone. She claims her current husband has been murdered. Soon the whole crew are on the case and bouncing from one madcap adventure to another, including a ride on the Orient Express and a hot air balloon escapade.
Cedric, Ambrose, Charlie, and Verity, the fabulous four, have done it again. A, who done it for the ages. Of course they had to have a little help from their friends, but who doesn’t. I love these books and can’t wait for the next. Wholesome fun a great mystery and extremely interesting characters. Especially Winnie. Thank you, Russell Cooper. But please please get Charlie a real boyfriend next time. Your friend, Jo K
I LOVE the Friday Street Murder Mystery series!!! Russel Cooper is a master story teller! I was instantly back into the world of Tanglefoot Farm. How I wish I could live there, too! Just like the other books in this series, Russell has spun another tail full of mystery, espionage, and humor. Once again, I Couldn't put it down and was sad when I finished it. Now I can't wait for "No Good Day to Die"!
Gets off to a slow, dry start. The story doesn't really get going until the last third if the book. No personal conversation or warmth until later in the story. Had so many names it was confusing keeping up. Too much if the love fest between Verity and Charlie. would like more of a personal touch. Kind of dry. Very good story and characters. Story was just boring this time.
Direct from the couch at Tanglefoot Farm: A myriad of suspects, possible clues, and misdirection along with a hot air balloon, a famous train, and a revelation from Ambrose's past with British Intelligence. The Friday Street gang all played a part in solving this wonderfully complex and thoroughly enjoyable mystery. Highly recommended.
This is the best of the lot, so far. I loved the clues and new characters. What a great adventure to read a Friday Street mystery! The twists and turns were marvelous. I liked the ending, and that I couldn’t fathom the ending. Great job. I look forward to the next adventure. I adore Charlie, Verity, Ambrose, Cedric, Colin, and Linus.
Another delightful read from the Friday Street Murder group! Ambrose's ex wife comes to the group asking for help to find out who murdered her husband 3 years ago. Ready for a new case, the group has their usual entertaining adventures. The love between Verity and Charlie is precious. Tanglewood Farm where we all wish we lived with Ambrose and Cedric.
I love the Friday Street Mysteries! The mysteries have lots of twists and turns. The characters are crazy fun! Unpredictable action all while having great food and friendships.
I have read all the books in this series. Charlie, Cecil, Ambrose and Verity make me laugh with their eccentricities and determination to solve the murders. I love the characters and the bonds they share.
First Ambrose and Cedric are definitely at the top end of the spectrum! Verity and Charlie are the muscle and link to normal society. I enjoy the juxtaposition of the two main teams with all of the "supporting cast and each other!
This, 4th in the series, is as good as all previous. The Friday Street gang are a pleasure to visit along with meeting new members of the crew. The leads follow twists and turns along the way and the conclusion does not disappoint. Enjoy!
Another great read in this series! Love the characters and all their quirks, and their skills in solving cases. Lots of action and emotion in this story, as well the humor. Looking forward to many more books from Russell Cooper!!
Once again the Friday Street gang serves up a mystery that is both entertaining and keeps you guessing until the end. More characters are added to the cast, and this leaves you awaiting the next in the series.
The Friday Street mysteries keep getting better and better. A groups of eccentric ex spies makes for a funny adventure. Murder ME Tomorrow kept me giggling and yet still guessing to the end.
Slightly more complicated of a mystery, so much so that it almost stumped the Friday Street team! More of their quirky and loving dynamic on show with a few new recruits.
After reading the news in the morning, running off to join the gang on Friday Street is an excellent escape. Love the quirky characters! If Cedric and Ambrose decide to open a B&B - please sign me up.
