One weekend. That’s how long Esa Lane told herself she’d be bartending at the exclusive, invite-only nightclub, Nymphos. The club wasn’t her scene, but with a little urging from her best friend and a lot of desperation, she ended up behind the bar anyway. Her intention was to keep her head down all weekend, pouring drinks and minding her business, with one goal in making enough money to pay for her education.
The job was supposed to be easy enough. Then he showed up. Swaggering up to her bar with an offer she couldn’t refuse. Wouldn’t refuse.
With survival morphing into temptation, could Esa still keep her head down until the weekend is over and walk away after experiencing him?
Previously tucked away in An Erotic Anthology, this novella now stands on its own.
Neyrey is a southern author from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She loves writing about love and life from all angles and some unpopular points of view. She started writing at the age of fifteen as an escape from her hectic over populated home in South Baton Rouge. Her writing started as poems that slowly began to transform themselves into short stories that eventually turned into a book. Her debut book is Ryan & Ceylon: A Deceitful Love Story and is published by In Reverie Publications.
Chile , I wasn’t expecting her to say Yes to Jonah iykyk. Teehee let me go to book 2 this messy. Also where BIG TRICK RHYS in real life I could use 50k right now.
Listen send me a Rhys asap. Blow my back out and bless me with 50k 🤭 Chile I didn't understand the need for Jonah at all🤷🏾♀️ He was giving absolutely nothing!
We love a short and spicy read. I'm eager to see where this mess goes though.
Oh I forgot to mention she was a NTMA and I loved both books!
4.5 ⭐️ for this erotic novelette. It’s a quick read; only 44 pages but it’s so good!
Rhys & Esa had insane physical chemistry. To just meeting each other at Nymphos, hunching on each other (they also have significant others lol ) & then Rhys sending Esa off with a parting gift 💰🤑💵…….yea I am fully invested in the next book. I need to know if Rhys is about to be Mr. Steal Yo Girl because I know Jonah is about to be the “ex fiancé” 😛
Neyrey is a new to me author. I definitely will be reading more from her catalog!
This was a good time (and a quick one at under 50 pages).
Esa had a problem and found an unorthodox way to solve it. Rhys was presented with a proposal he didn’t want to refuse. What happened next was an electric weekend.
The author notes that this is a standalone novella after previously being part of an anthology. However, it’s also Book 1 in a series. As a story on its own, it feels incomplete and ends rather abruptly. But knowing that it’s essentially serving as a prequel to a full-length novel, it works much better as a juicy appetizer than a complete meal.
Within these few pages, we get an interesting look at what desperation can drive people to do and how those choices can either backfire or lead you down a path you never intended to take. I loved Rhys’s alpha energy, and I can already tell that he and Esa are going to have quite the battle of wills in Book 2.
Ivy is going to be a problem. I can already feel it.
This was such a good erotic tale! A college girl struggling with tuition takes a job bartending at an invite-only sex club, never expecting to be propositioned 🤭. The PHYSICAL chemistry between them was intense, and they were fully committed to pleasing each other, no matter the circumstances or even if they were romantically tied to someone else.
An update on their story just dropped, and I’m diving in immediately!
This is my first read by this author and I want moreeeee… the way this book ended really had me like… oh I am going to read more books by her. Fast pace and just the right amount of spice for me..
Whew! This was a sexy nasty good time. Quick short and yo the point, but defect you hanging on the edge of your seat! Her running to that bb ass boyfriend tho, totally pissed me off! I’m ready for part 2, bc I just know the MMC didn’t mean none of that shit and he coming for her ass ASAP
There was such much story paced into this novelette. Esa just needed a break to come through financially and she definitely got it but something more when she caught the eye of Rhys.
This was such a good story. And while it was short, it left me wanting more and I’m so glad that there is a second part to their story because there is a lot left that is unsaid with this. Definitely recommend.
Spicy quick read and actually left me intrigued. It was a spicy book however, those 🌶️ scenes could have been fleshed out some more for readers felt rushed nonetheless it had a good plot for 40 pages.
New to me author and this short introductory story was perfect in my opinion!
I enjoyed the writing, I was hooked from the beginning and I can’t wait to dive into book 2 to get the full length story! So glad this author came up on my TL!
I ran through this novella real quick, it was definitely a good time! I'm glad there's a book 2 which is a full novel continuing with the characters which I'm reading next.
You could not pay me to pay my man to sleep with another woman. Likeeee you payed him to leave you yikes. I loved this, the end had me sick. I just didn’t see her doing that like Jonah?!? after you just ….. okay. Very well written I immediately had to read the next one !! Also Rhys is grown atleast he was pretty upfront about his intentions. But the sex clubbbb i was picturing this scene from Ivy pulling out the stack of cash to her watching them be grownnn like chile this what you wanted .
