Jinchul Woo is a top A-class hunter and the president of the Hunter’s Association—but that is a tale from another timeline. In a world where gates and magic beasts and hunters are nothing but fiction, Jinchul Woo is now a detective with the violent crimes investigation unit, and his latest cases have been...well, “strange” doesn’t even begin to describe them. Criminals keep turning themselves in out of fear of being torn to pieces by some otherworldly shadow ant creatures, and his only lead is the testimony of a trackand- field coach who swears that his star athlete was spotted with said creatures. Jinchul can’t help but doubt the claims; after all, Jinwoo Sung seems like a perfectly normal high school kid...Join Jinwoo and his friends, both human and shadow, in these snippets from their peaceful, not-quite-ordinary lives!
This was a 3.5 star read.It was OK because this book was just a side story so like it wasn’t a continuation of book 13 so it was kind of boring as like I didn’t really know what was happening but still.I hope book 15 continues from book 13.

If you just want to hang out with the characters you love from the Solo Leveling series, this book is fun. If you want a cohesive story line or any of the intensity of the last several volumes, maybe stop at volume 13.
Is to be expected if you read the light novels. It’s good to see it visually and glad Jinwoo got to live out his life the way he wanted with the people he loves.
Oof, looks like it's nearing the end. Side stories and Jinwoo's HEA. The alternate monarch takeover made me laugh. I could read a series like that. Not sure how I felt about the memory comeback. The VP had more of a showing than the girl. Was a sweet scene though. Onto the legacy.
