Galadreal Simmons was born at a very early age. She doesn't remember much of at, as she was tiny and squishy. Regardless, after 45 years…she is still short and squishy.

She was named after an elf proving that nerd genes run in her family. It's spelled differently, because try teaching a five year old how to spell that. When she was of an adult age, she had it legally changed to include the misspelling.

She lives in a not overly remote location in the southern United States with her husband, two small creatures that share her genetic material, and a cat named Nyx.

She enjoys reading, avoiding human interaction, and feeding crows in the hopes that they will form a crow army and do her bidding. So far, that hasn't worked out, but she continues to do it anyway—because they might be hungry.

Oh my word, I absolutely love Pack Carpenter. All of the different characters have such differing personalities yet they blend so seamlessly. It was heartbreaking to read about the twins and their family relationships, and see how it impacts everyone. We get to see a lot more of Jake, and see the connections form between the most unlikely of pairing in the pack😉 Galadreal you have created a new subgenre of omegaverse that I adore. You take characters with mental illness, neurodivergence’s and just being “different” and show them as loveable, and just as sexy as any “popular” archetype❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book on Pack Carpenter, and the second one didn’t disappoint. This time, we delved deeper into the lives of Steve and Garrett, learning more about their challenging childhood. It was heartbreaking to witness the hardships they endured.
We also gained insights into Teddy and the wrist cuffs, discovering Teddy’s charming nature. Sam, the head alpha, played a protective role, while Kelly, the beta, embodied calmness and stability. Despite her clumsiness, she becomes feisty when someone she cares about is hurt.
The book was filled with a mix of heartache, joy, and action, both within and outside the pack. I was captivated by the strong bond that formed among the characters, as they supported each other through thick and thin. I LOVE THIS BOOK!

This is part two of this duet and continues where part one left off. One of the things that I like the most about these books is the pack dynamic and how there really isn’t an established pack so they all have to come together and figure out where they all fit in. Unalike most omegaverse stories, this pack is not made up of a group of guys worshipping a female omega. There is a male omega, three very different alphas, and a female beta that is the most adorable klutz there is. I think that the fact that not every member of this pack is obsessed with every other member adds to the relatability of the pack. There are many polyamorous relationships where some members of the family are not intimately with other members, but its the fact that they all come together as a family, and that’s exactly what this pack has. In this book we get to see this pack actually coming together and being the family that they are. There are some bumps along the way, but it isn’t horribly angsty. I really enjoyed this duet and it didn’t feel like something I had read so many times before.

Every member of this pack is so different. Teddy is exactly what I love in a male omega. He has his soft edges, needing love and cuddles from his alphas and betas, but he also can be the stronger, almost alpha-like packmate. The way that he needs his beta makes me smile so much. Sam is the most amazing head alpha. He is the picture of dominance but can also be soft if that’s what his pack needs. I love how Garrett is an alpha but is not obsessed with the omega of the pack. And then there’s Steve. There are times where I really wanted to hit him. But by the end, I loved every member of this pack, even him.

This is a fantastic conclusion to this duet. It was such a different omegaverse and I really enjoyed reading it. This pack isn’t perfect, but it felt real. The spicy spice times are definitely there, as it is in most omegaverses, and with the different combinations within the pack, I feel like you get such a mix of different spicy scenarios. This is such a great omegaverse with a little bit of angst and a pack that I really enjoyed reading about.

Loved reading the second book in the BAPIR duet! This is obviously a continuation of part 1 and flows very well from there. It was really great seeing all of their relationships grow and flourish, even Kelly and Steve. It was also nice seeing more of his POV and him trying to understand and process his reactions to Kelly better. Sam and Garret also grow closer as he finds his place in the pack and their small town, which was not the easiest for a big city guy. I also adore how Teddy and Garret love Kelly.

There is some drama and even a hint of thrill and action but overall, just like Part 1, Part 2 is low angst. And I cannot express enough how funny this book is! I never laugh more than when I’m reading a Galadreal Simmons book! Seriously, I had to take a breather here and there because I was laughing so hard at certain scenes that I started to cry 😂 Admittedly, it’s not hard to make me laugh but books rarely get me to laugh so much that my eyes water and this did that a few times. As always, check the TWs because some parts get a little heavy but I’d definitely categorize this as a cozy and easy read. I did beta read this book but I don’t let the books I beta and ARC read affect my reviews.

Some favorite quotes from Teddy about Kelly:

“I’m done, gone, lost forever to a tiny beta girl who tells dad jokes, trips on flat surfaces, and thinks blue cheese is fancy.”

“I love Sam, I love Steve, but there’s something about Kelly. The best word I can come up with is obsession. I would give up everything else in my life to have her, and the biggest reason for that is that she works never ask me to. “

“But I like hugging Kelly because I feel like an alpha with how small she is against me. And she smells good. I’m pretty sure I love her too, not that I’ve told her yet. She makes everything so much brighter.”

Unfortunately, there was only one star for this book. Throughout the book, it felt like the chemistry between all the couples was missing, it felt like everyone was a little too damaged from their past for this to work in the long run. Kelly and griffin were very much on the side and it felt like it was a split up on sam, teddy plus steve and then Kelly and griffin on the side, it didn't feel like a whole pack. and that made the whole thing just feel bah.

The drama with Sam's brother and Teddy's cousin felt redundant and didn't add much to the story itself.

This was part two and it still feels like no one really knew anyone, and they didn't relly talk to each other directly and that did unfortunately that the characters diddent have any depth.
and that made it difficult to connect to the book.

i would have likt it more if it hade been some more interaktions between the diffrent love copuls then reading about a long drive...

and tbh in the end it feel like this pakt will end up breaking up in the fuiture. even with the claming marks.

i would have been better if they hade been togheter more and learnd more about eithouter and that we got to see the diffrent relationship grow and be something it would been a okay book but this just feelt rusch with to mutch drama that took away from knowing more of the main characters.

We get so much more of the characters' backgrounds' and development. I didn't think I could hate Steve and Garrett's dad anymore and then I read this part. I wish we got more development of Steve's and Garrett's conditions that were caused by the trauma they went through. The heat scene was so spicy and hot. I wondered how that would go with some people not being intimate in the pack. I love how we see Steve and Kelly become closer platonically and the attack scenes upset me because they were so intense.

Perfect end to a part 2! Great Angast Omegaverse but it's definitely not your typical one. I loved the different dynamics. Steve.. man he's a jerk lol but I am glad to see he comes around...a little.. in the second book. I was on the edge of my seat towards the end with all the drama! And the heat scene... yesss!!! It was perfect and spicy!

What a conclusion to Pack Carpenter’s story! It was very emotional with lots of baggage and trauma being dealt with. A bit of an unconventional pack, but seeing them finally come together for each other was great! The love and spice was still there, and I loved their happily ever after!

Good second book

I enjoyed reading this part two. It filled in the story nicely and tied off loose ends but also teased for another one in the series which I will definitely read

This was a strong finish to the duet. I loved the pack and each character within the pack really made this story interesting.

I liked this pack and its uniqueness. The relationships within the pack itself made things quite interesting. Kelly, the beta, was super quirky and honestly my favorite. I adored Sam as the lead alpha. And their omega, Teddy, was super sweet. The drama in the story surrounds the other two alphas, Steve and Garrett. They honestly had been through a lot, so I was happy yo see them find Sam, Teddy and Kelly.

I really enjoyed this duet, and watching this pack come together.

I am hoping that Spencer gets his story told some day. I really liked his character a lot in this book!

So darn good.

I love this pack. They come together beautifully with all the trauma each one went through. It's so sad, but funny, sweet, and steamy. I almost lost it over Jake, man that was ruff😭
Can't wait for the next story.

For some reason I keep ending up finding and falling in love with cliffhangers. The best part about these cliffhangers is the they have been quick and we get to catch up with them within a few weeks of when we left.

We have catch up with Pack Carpenter within a few days of when we left off. Galadreal as created a world that feels so real and believable that it makes things like life hard to do when all you want to do is read. Also you fall so many of these characters and you just want more. I feel like I have lived Kelly’s life, fallen in love with Garret, Sam, and Teddy. And had a best friend like Steve although Steve could have used a longer time on the time out step but I forgive him.

I can’t wait for more.

An Emotional Ride

Part 2 starts right at the end of part 1’s cliffhanger. I am not going to lie, it is a lot. These characters have been put through the wringer. The more darkness that comes to light, the more I really fall in love with this misfit pack, even if I still think Steve is more whiny and dramatic than any omega. Sam and Teddy, such great book boyfriends. The way they love Kelly, swoon! Garrett’s obsession, yes please! I feel like all my questions got answered and I can’t wait for the next book. It is going to be on a whole different level of crazy.

So we see a lot happen in this 2nd installment as Pack Carpenter has to face off with both internal and external challenges against their pack. It was good, it doesn't make it quite up to 5 stars or among my favorites because I think some of the dynamics within the pack just weren't to my preferences. I also think some parts could have been more flushed out and given more screen time, so to speak. However I have become VERY intrigued by Spencer because I'm a sucker for giant cinnamon roll ML's so I will be keeping an eye out for his book, which G.S said would be next.

I was excited about these books because I enjoyed the previous book in this series. I enjoyed Part 1 up until the introduction of Steve. I loved the dynamic between Sam, Teddy, and Kelley. Unfortunately, that changed almost immediately after Steve and Garrett were brought into the story. From that moment, my opinion of both Sam and Teddy plummeted.

Why? What did Steve do? He treated the only FMC(Kelley) like trash. Steve lashed out at Kelley unprovoked. Physically pulled Teddy away from her. Steve threw near tantrums if anyone other than Garrett interacted with her. Actively tried to alienate her from the pack, even though she was there first. He treated her this way, and nothing was said or done about it by any of the other characters. There was an implied off-page 'correction' from Sam in Part 1 and a lackluster response from Sam 90% into Part 2—the latter comes off more as a reward for Steve's poor treatment of Kelley. I became increasingly enraged with every pathetic inner monolog from Sam and Teddy about how Steve needed to treat Kelley better, and yet still; they allowed him to continue.

Do I expect everyone to be with everyone in these types of books? No. Do I expect everyone to get along in the beginning? Also, no. Do I expect everyone to try to respect each other while getting to know one another? Yes. Do I understand that this character was supposed to be written to have a "black cat" personality? Yes. Do I realize he and his brother(Garrett) lived a hard life before? Yes. Did he know Teddy first? Yes, but this is still not a valid excuse for his behavior. Did I still feel this when Steve decided Kelley wasn't so bad? Yes, considering his treatment continued while also taking her things without permission.

Steve comes off as a spoiled little boy who refuses to share his toys. Garrett comes off as just being there, so Kelley has someone to make her feel better when she is essentially ignored by her other scent matches, except for cuddles. Teddy was more concerned about not hurting Steve's feelings than having a legitimate conversation about the expectations for Steve's treatment of Kelley. Sam comes off as caring more about him and Teddy domming Steve than nurturing his scent match with Kelley. Kelley was a typical ray of sunshine with every cliché expected of that type of character. But she was the only character I cared about at the end of the duet. I was okay with Garrett, too.

At the end of Part 2, the pack dynamic comes off as a throuple and a couple that just so happens to share a house. This makes me so sad because I had such high hopes. But it became a book I had to walk away from on multiple occasions because the characters made me want to throw hands in Kelley's honor.

Kelly is in love with Teddy and Sam. She finds that Garret's super nice, super sweet, abnormally handsome, and she is drawn to him, but he is just a little too clingy. Sam has found himself in love with both Teddy and Kelly and would really like Steve, maybe he could even grow to love Steve is he would just stop being so jealous and he HAS to stop acting like a brat. Steve is head over heels in love with Teddy and would love nothing else then to grab Teddy and his brother and to take off back to LA. But, he stays because he knows Teddy is also in love with Sam and Kelly. Now, Steve can't help but admit that Sam is hot as hell, that he does actually love his brother Garret in a very different and unique way he's never seen before, and he can't stop being overly jealous of Kelly and her relationship with everyone especially Teddy. Garret, being straighter than straight, only has eyes for Kelly and would do anything for her. And as far as he's concerned, everyone else can just fall off the face of the earth.

Kelly, Sam, Teddy, Steve, and Garret all find themselves confused. They are trying to figure out how five people who are so different came to live together, but more than that, were drawn together as mates? Kelly can't understand how she hasn't killed herself yet with how clumsy she is. Where did all the nesting stuff Teddy ordered go, and is his nest going to be finished in time for his next (quickly impending) heat? What is Steve and Garret's dad problem? Is Sam really able to be financially able to take care of all these people? Is Jake ever going to get all those ear scratches that he's been begging for? He is, after all, the best boy there is? You can find out here in the conclusion of Building a Pack is Ruff, part 2.

This book came to me at a time when I needed a distraction more than anything, and I will tell you that I loved reading every moment of this book. Now, you have to have read Building a Pack is Ruff part 1 to understand what is going on in this continuation. And I will say that this book flows so very well from the end of the last book.

What I really loved was seeing all the relationships that we saw started in the first book continue to grow and build, even the relationship between Kelly and Steve. That was the relationship that really took me by surprise. I also enjoyed seeing more of Steve's POV, and he tried to understand and process his emotions and why he reacted to Kelly the way he did.

I enjoyed seeing that even Sam and Garret grow closer and create their own unique bond, and Garret finds his own place in their pack and in their small town. And I know as a big city boy, that can't have been easy going to a small town. And you can't help but love the way that Teddy and Garret both love Teddy.

Of course, nothing is ever easy, and you will always find drama and thrills and drama following pack Carpenter. But really, just like in Part 1, Part 2 is really low in the angst department, although there is some tension. There is so much fun and laughter in this book, and I can't remember how often I had to put this book down to stop and catch my breath. There were times when I was laughing so hard I was actually crying.

As always, check the TW and the CW as there are a few moments that do get a little bit heavy. But, I still have to say that this book is cozy and easy ready.

I loved this book, and I can't recommend this book and this series enough. If you haven't started this series yet, then I don't know what you are waiting for.

Oh, and I hope that one day soon, maybe Galadreal Simmons' next project, Spencer gets his own book, and he gets his story told. His character is really interesting and I really liked him.

This is the second book in this duet, and I'm sad because it ends this story. I love these characters so much, I have laughed out loud at some of their antics and worried about how they are going to keep her safe from hurting herself. I believe Sam is probably the most under rated hero I have ever read, his devotion to getting it right for his pack is one of the most significant traits he exhibited throughout both books. His constant worry about keeping them was always there, even making Kelly stairs so she could get into bed.
This book focuses on Sam taking Garret and Teddy to Los Angeles, so they can retrieve their belongings and move back to Mississippi, but the twins father doesn't want them to join another pack. Marcus injures Garret slowing down their ability to get home. Left behind, Kelly and Steve are trying to finish the nest for Teddy, who is going into his heat soon. Kelly and Steve try to get along because Steve doesn't believe they need a vagina in their pack, excess his brother is really in obsessive love with Kelly. He certainly doesn't want to share Teddy and Sam, but he will if made to. When Marcus sneaks into town and burns down Sam workshop, he also shoots his own son and Jake, the dog while threatening Kelly before he is shot by Xan, from pack Asher. I am going to miss all these characters, but I have a feeling they may poop up again. I feel Sarah may get her own book when she come for her visit with her pet bunny.

So, fair warning, part 2 is definitely darker than part 1. It still has the sarcastic, irreverent tone that is characteristic of this author’s work, but it deals with some darker and more serious themes and issues. I would encourage you to check trigger warnings before reading.

That said, I really enjoyed it. The characters all grew on me and I was fully investing in Pack Carpenter. I think this hit a nice balance between a satisfying happily ever after and a realistic happy for now ending. It was certainly an adventure, with lots of twists and surprises. Some things didn’t necessarily get fully explained (e.g., Spencer), but it was still enough closure for me.

I loved how this pack had to navigate an unusual arrangement, where it’s not fully polyamorous and there are some who share and some who don’t. It felt more realistic and like we were getting a peak behind the omegaverse curtain, to see how building a pack really works.

Some of the references and humor were too niche for me, but then others had me laughing out loud. I really enjoy this author’s writing style, it’s very different from most others that I read. It can be a bit over the top at times, but that’s what makes it good. It’s borderline a crack-fic, if you know what I mean. But in the best way.

I’m excited to read the next book in this universe!

Building a Pack is Ruff Part 2 by Galadreal Simmons the a conclusion of this duet. It picks up right where we left off in Part 1 so make sure to read that first. There is one male omega, one female beta and three male alpha; there is MM.

Sam, Teddy and Garret decide to drive to LA to get all the items from the twin’s apartment and pack up all of Teddy’s items from the Omega Academy. Going back also means dealing with past issues. Garret will need to open up about growing up with his abusive father and deal with him in person when he comes to the apartment. For Teddy, we learn more about his time after the twins left and why he always wears his cuffs.

Kelly and Steve need to see if they can learn to be together even if that is just as friends. Steve comes to find he has more in common with Kelly than he knew. Kelly finds out some details of Steve’s past that help explain his actions.

We see a ton of growth for these characters as they try to work past all the issues that come back. More than one person ends up at the hospital during this story. This was another great story with many heavy topics so double check the warnings. It seems like we should see more books from this universe and I am interested to see who will be next.

Love this series...

Part two of *Building a Pack* is intense and emotionally charged. The book picks up right after the cliffhanger ending of the first installment.

We reconnect with Kelly, Sam, Teddy, Garret, and Steve as they attempt to form a pack amid chaos and traumatic experiences, particularly concerning Steve's frustration with Kelly's involvement in the group.

I still dislike Steve, and I'm not sure that's going to change, even after learning about his trauma. He tends to throw temper tantrums and struggles to truly accept Kelly. Despite his attempts to control himself, the damage he causes remains significant. On the other hand, I find Garret quite endearing. His protective instincts toward Kelly are heartwarming, and I appreciate how supportive he is of her.

This book is filled with themes of past trauma, new pain, and a touch of healing. It explores the idea of found family, features dominant protective Alphas, an Omega, and an emotionally stunted Alpha. But yes, I still don't like Steve, no matter the circumstances.

I can't wait to read the next book, I suspect it's going to be a riot.

Review as a ARC reader,
Wow, what a rollercoaster of obstacles for Pack Carpenter. Only for everything to bring them all closer. part 2 for sure delivered on all out cliff hanging questions and in the best way. The growth that Steve made with Kelly, while the others when to take care of Teddy's omega center stuff and the twins loose ties. Each and everyone of them had a lot come out into the light over Mr. "Marc" Carson. He is the root of all the nastiness.
Teddy has one heck of a best friend. I'll leave it at that. So fierce and protective.
I'm so happy with how things ended for the pack. I'm also happy we got to see a little of Xan and Gave too.
I wonder if we get to see Sarah in the future? Nobody knows, you'll have to read to find out!

The drama just follows Pack Carpenter wherever they go! Teddy, Sam, and Garrett go to LA to pack up Teddy’s nest and Garrett and Steve's apartment.. run into the twin's dad.. Drama ensues, we meet Teddy’s bestie Sarah, who knows Teddy’s past with the twins. More drama.. Steve and Kelly get to a place where they can coexist. More drama and pain. Their HEA was well earned. This story had so many instances where your heart caught and you said aw. I truly felt sympathy for Teddy’s trauma and the twin's trauma. I'm interested in revisiting them later on in other books! See where they are at that time.

I was super excited to get part 2 and see where this book goes. I’d say I really liked this book it was good to watch these characters come together and finally make their home. I really liked the author’s writing there is something about it that pulls me in and I can’t get enough!

I really liked the characters. Although I will say I did have a harder time connecting with one. But I think eventually I finally came around. I really loved when they finally did become a family it made my heart swoon.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for more by this author! What a good book! Highly recommend if you love omegaverse!

Received as an ARC. I love Pat Carpenter. The author did a wonderful job in this book of further developing all of the relationships, and providing us with more background information on characters like Steve and Garrett, Brice and Joseph, developing nuances in Kelly and Steve's relationship/ interactions. I love the foreshadow and hints we get for future book characters- Sarah- yay! She deserves her own book.

Thank you for the small injections of characters from The Purrfect Pack, lending much needed to comedy at times!

This book is a continuation of part one so you would need to read that first to understand the storyline. There's more drama, tension and emotion as Pack Carpenter tries to become, well... Pack Carpenter, and hit every obstacle imaginable. But every challenge they face does help each of them open up to the rest and build a solid relationship based on love, trust and support. I did like Sarah at first but not after what she did. It seems she'll be the FMC of the next book though and we get glimpses of who'll be her packmates.

I received this book as part of an ARC team.

So different

This duet was so different than any other omegaverse book I've read. The complex relationships and feelings felt more realistic for what a poly-relationship would feel like. I like that there was some jealousy and insecurities. I like that not everyne was likable, and the group didn't 'just work' they had to work on each individual relationship. I have so enjoyed this series so far, and it's can't wait for Sarah's book.

I was so excited to receive this Arc. I really enjoyed the pack dynamics in this one. It's not very often that you have a male Omega and a female beta/omega that aren't involved with everyone. I really liked seeing Steve and Kelly become friends and watching the relationships develop between everyone else. I highly recommend this book!
