I’ve read a lot of science fiction over the years, and this book is pure pulp fun in the best way. Castor Pollux: The Adventure on the Prison Planet doesn’t try to reinvent the genre — it aims to entertain, and it succeeds. Castor himself is a great character: bold, stubborn, and witty under pressure. His skills as a pilot are showcased in thrilling sequences that feel cinematic and fast-paced, reminding me of the classic space heroes but with a modern edge. The world-building is colorful and dangerous, full of tension, but the story never forgets that its main purpose is to deliver excitement. I had an absolute blast with Castor Pollux: The Adventure on the Prison Planet. This is the kind of book that reminds you why you fell in love with sci-fi in the first place. The action is relentless, the prison planet setting is perfectly gritty and dangerous, and the heroes have just the right amount of swagger. It has the soul of a classic space opera but with a modern, pulpy energy that makes it impossible to put down. I found myself grinning the whole way through. A must-read for anyone craving a high-octane adventure.
