I didn’t realize how much I was shutting down during conflict until I read this book. Judit’s chapter on assertiveness helped me recognize that avoiding confrontation doesn’t mean peace it often leads to misunderstanding. Her practical steps helped me express myself without guilt or aggression. I now keep the paperback copy on my shelf and revisit it before difficult conversations. It’s changed my life.

I used to dread networking events. I never knew how to start a real conversation, and small talk drained me. This book changed everything. Judit offers alternative openers, deeper questions, and a mindset shift that helped me realize connection doesn’t have to be awkward. I actually look forward to networking now. This book gave me that gift. Get the physical copy it feels more like a trusted friend than just a book.

Judit Jambor does something special she acknowledges that communication is layered, emotional, and hard sometimes… and then she shows you how to handle it anyway. The book never dumbs things down, yet it’s totally readable and practical. Her cultural insights added a dimension I’ve never seen in other communication books. I ordered the print version because I want it on my shelf for the long haul.

I expected a book on communication tips what I got was a deep, funny, emotionally intelligent exploration of what it really means to connect. Judit’s writing is crisp, compassionate, and packed with insights that stay with you. She doesn’t just give you techniques she helps you rethink how you relate to others and to yourself. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve made in years. Get the physical version. You’ll want to mark it up.

There’s a rare kind of book where the author feels like they’re sitting beside you, guiding you, encouraging you not lecturing. This is one of those books. Judit’s tone is compassionate, honest, and funny. You don’t just learn, you feel supported. I laughed, I nodded, I re-read certain paragraphs twice. I can’t imagine not owning a physical copy it deserves a permanent place in your home or office.

As an HR professional, I’ve seen so many communication guides but this is hands down the best one. It combines psychological depth, cultural sensitivity, humor, and practical strategy in one engaging read. I’m now recommending it to all my colleagues and coaching clients. Buy the paperback you’ll want to lend it to others, too.

Years of working in a toxic environment left me afraid to speak up. This book helped me rebuild my confidence step by step. Judit doesn’t push you; she invites you to remember your worth and communicate from that place. I now use the book like a workbook, practicing her questions and reflecting in the margins. For anyone trying to find their voice again buy the print version. It’s a journey worth taking.

Rarely do I fly through nonfiction like I did with The Connection Playbook. The stories are hilarious and touching. The lessons are instantly usable. It’s one of those books you read with a pen in hand because the lightbulb moments just keep coming. I bought both the digital and paperback versions and I’m not someone who normally does that!

Reading this felt less like consuming information and more like having a thoughtful, funny, wise conversation with a friend. Judit anticipates your fears and answers them with kindness. I felt seen and encouraged in every chapter. You won’t just read this you’ll talk back to it, underline it, and carry it with you. It deserves to be bought and kept on your shelf for years.

Reading Judit Jambor’s The Connection Playbook felt like sitting beside a close, thoughtful friend who guides you—sometimes with humor, other times through deeply personal stories—into the real dynamics of human connection.

This book isn’t just about communication, it’s about empathy, presence, and the courage to be honest—with others and ourselves.

The examples read like short stories—vivid and colorful. Judit’s writing is expressive and personal, often making me think, “This is so me!” or “This is exactly what I’ve experienced!” The reflective questions she poses don’t pressure you—they invite you to pause, to reconnect with yourself as much as with others. One of my favorite parts is her gentle reminder to pause at the end of the day, look back, and reevaluate—not just what we’ve done, but how we’ve connected.

The book is especially valuable for people who naturally tune in to others, but still seek clarity around their own complex or “strange” feelings. Judit explains the why behind those emotions in a way that is both accessible and validating.

As someone who had the privilege of learning communication from Judit at veterinary school, I can say her writing perfectly reflects the kind, attentive, and open-hearted person she is in real life.

Whether you’re a student, a professional, or simply someone curious about improving your connections, this book will speak to you. It doesn’t just teach skills—it builds awareness, invites growth, and gently encourages you to speak, listen, and live more consciously.

Thank you, Judit, for this inspiring and warm-hearted guide.

Before this book, I thought communication was mostly about choosing the right words. Judit Jambor expanded that view entirely she shows how posture, timing, culture, and emotional awareness all shape what we say and how we’re heard. I never realized how much my energy influences my message. It’s eye-opening and empowering. I’ve already started using several tools from the book with amazing results.

As a therapist, I’m always looking for accessible, research-informed, and human-centered resources to recommend to clients. This book checks every box. It covers emotional literacy, boundaries, empathy, and cultural nuance in ways that are easy to digest but deeply impactful. I’ve now added the print edition to my office bookshelf and it’s already been borrowed twice.

My partner and I often misinterpreted each other’s tone, which led to unnecessary arguments. After reading this book, I started practicing active listening and reflecting emotions back instead of reacting quickly. The difference has been night and day. We’re communicating with more patience and care than ever before.

The Communication Playbook by Judit Jambor is an approachable, thoughtfully organized book designed to help readers become more effective communicator, whether in personal conversations, relationships, or professional settings.

One thing that stands out right away is the jigsaw puzzle-themed cover, which perfectly reflects the book’s core message: communication is complex, multifaceted, and built piece by piece. Just like a puzzle, it takes patience, awareness, and practice to truly understand others and express ourselves clearly.

It feels more like a hands-on workbook than a dense theory text, which makes it perfect for readers looking to build confidence and connection in everyday life.

I especially appreciated the focus on active listening, non-verbal cues, and emotional intelligence: all essential tools in today’s fast-paced and often digital communication landscape.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve how they connect with others, whether at work, in relationships, or in leadership roles.

If there’s one book that truly changed the way I communicate both professionally and personally it’s The Connection Playbook. Judit Jambor doesn’t just teach you how to speak or listen better; she teaches you how to connect. I work in a multinational environment, and her chapter on intercultural communication was an eye-opener. I finally understood why some of my well-intended messages were falling flat. The personal stories in the book made me laugh out loud (the grandma texting “HELP” had me in tears) but also delivered profound lessons in empathy and awareness. This is a book I’ll be rereading often and recommending to every new member of our team. Judit’s voice is warm, funny, wise, and deeply human.

This book was such a refreshing read - insightful and full of practical advice that actually feels doable in real life. It doesn't just talk about communication in theory, it shows how small changes in the way we listen, speak, and relate to others can really shift the quality of our connections. Chapter 6 “Questioning - The Gateway to Genuine Connection” was a beautiful reminder that asking the right questions and listening with genuine curiosity is often more powerful than having the perfect answer. Highly recommend!

I read this book during a rough patch in my marriage, and I honestly think it helped save our communication. The section on active listening made me realize how often I listen to reply, not to understand. My partner and I started doing some of the exercises together, and slowly, our conversations became more respectful and meaningful. Judit’s honesty and warmth gave me the courage to speak from the heart.

I lead a team of 15 and have struggled to keep everyone aligned, especially in remote settings. The Connection Playbook gave me frameworks and language to engage my team better. After I introduced “check-in rituals” and rapport-building questions inspired by the book, our meetings became more productive and less robotic. My team is now reading it together, one chapter a week. It’s changing our culture for the better.

As someone who’s naturally introverted, I often feel overwhelmed in social or professional interactions. Judit’s book helped me understand that communication is not just about being loud or extroverted it’s about connection. The exercises on assertiveness and active listening gave me practical steps to find my voice without feeling pushy. Reading this book felt like getting permission to be myself while growing my skills.

I thought I was a good communicator until I read this book. Judit Jambor broke down communication into dimensions I hadn’t even considered, like how personality types affect tone, or how digital conversations shape perception. I’ve read dozens of books on communication, but this one stands out because it speaks to both the heart and mind. I’m keeping my copy on my desk for everyday use and getting a digital copy too for on-the-go reminders!

There were chapters that had me laughing out loud (the lasagna emergency text!) and others that made me reflect on how I’ve failed to listen well to the people I love. That balance of humor and depth is what makes this book so powerful. I’ve never finished a communication book and immediately wanted to buy it as a gift, but I did with this one. Highly recommend the print version—it’s a keeper.

I used to feel invisible in meetings. I’d have great ideas but never speak up, worried about sounding pushy. This book gave me the tools and mindset to change that. The section on verbal communication and building rapport helped me find a confident yet respectful voice. Now I contribute with clarity and I’m being heard. This book is a game changer, and the print copy has become my desk reference.

This book reminded me that communication touches everything work, family, friendship, even self-talk. Judit shows you how to sharpen your skills without becoming robotic or scripted. She helps you stay you just more clear, kind, and effective. After finishing the book, I ordered a paperback copy because I wanted to mark it up, revisit the stories, and keep it close for those tough conversations. It’s a resource for life.

Before reading The Connection Playbook, I never paid much attention to how my tone, timing, or facial expressions affected conversations. Judit opened my eyes to the subtle, silent language we all use every day without realizing it. This book helped me fine-tune how I show up not just with words, but with presence. I now approach even casual conversations with greater intention. It's a book worth owning in print to reference again and again.

This book gave me the language I needed to handle emotionally charged moments with grace confrontations at work, talking with my partner during tension, even comforting a grieving friend. Judit doesn’t just give script she helps you understand what needs to happen emotionally and relationally for words to work. I bought the paperback because I knew I’d want to underline and return to specific parts when life gets hard again.

I always thought I was a good listener—but this book humbled me. Judit explains how people often seem to be listening when really they’re preparing their response. The Active Listening chapter blew my mind. I started trying her “Silence & Speak” challenge and, to my surprise, people started opening up to me in new ways. I’d highly recommend getting the physical version to work through the exercises at your own pace.

This book doesn’t scream for attention it quietly changes how you show up in the world. Judit’s writing is personal, vulnerable, and wise. I learned that communication isn’t about being flashy or eloquent it’s about being present and clear. The DISC model helped me understand myself and others in a way that strengthened every relationship in my life. A digital copy won’t do it justice I recommend the paperback so you can dog-ear, write, and reflect.

I picked up this book thinking it would be another dry, instructional read. But Judit’s voice is warm, funny, and full of heart. I ended up learning so much without even realizing I was “studying.” Her personal stories from cultural mix-ups to family misunderstandings made the content stick in a way I’ll never forget. It’s rare to find a book that feels this alive. I bought the hardcover for myself and gifted two paperbacks to friends.

My brother and I hadn’t had a real conversation in years. After reading this book, I approached him differently more open, more aware of how to listen and validate. We ended up having a breakthrough conversation that brought us closer. I can’t thank Judit enough. If you’re looking for tools to reconnect with someone important, start here. I read the PDF, then bought the paperback just to keep it in my home library.
