When a group of six strangers are invited into the woods for a content creator retreat where they’re guaranteed to make money, it seems like a perfect escape. However, as accidents turn into incidents and blood begins to spill, they start to suspect they were lured into the wilderness for a reason. Is someone messing with them? Is someone watching them? Who will survive?
4.25⭐️ This audiobook was a fucking experience. Full cast, duet narration, unhinged (I was gasping, clutching my pearls, having full-on out loud reactions) and super fucking spicy.
It was giving I Know What You Did Last Summer/Scream , but make everyone fuck everyone 🤭😮💨😂 what’s not to love here??
Aside from being hot as hell, it was honestly such a fun listen. I felt like I was watching a movie. It was quick, but somehow still packed with so much goodness.
We’ve got murder, mayhem, plot twists, and a few moments that made me stare at the wall, but I couldn’t stop. SO addicting.
If you want something super fucking spicy/ stabby with a really cool concept that gives early-2000s scary movie vibes, you need to run and listen to this book.
It’s like the authors added elements from all my favorite scary/slasher movies in this book, and I, for one, am here for it!
If you’re looking for romance, this isn't it. If you’re looking for erotic horror, this is it - it's perfect for the spooky season.
This is a fast-paced novella, it has everything in it, spice, plot, horror, completely unhinged. I had a feeling anijt the twist at the end. But not the full extent of it! It was a fun read.
i just want to say i only finished this book to review it.
i was originally so excited for this summer slasher read. at first i was like okay OF content creators, they’re gonna have their fun and then just be stupid while they’re getting offed one by one like every slasher film ever. but once i started reading and saw they decided to put a sprinkle in someone’s drink to “loosen them up” and start having them do sexual things with them i was both feet out the book. and yes i can take some responsibility for not reading trigger warnings bc im desensitized to a lot of things so rarely anything bothers me to the point of being insanely uncomfortable. then when i see that they are still just pawing at each other after people were getting offed i was like this isn’t the type of stupid i was expecting, i thought you know they were gonna go to the bathroom alone or something. NOPE. just kept having sex! the plot twist i thought was good…the plot twist in itself had its own issues for me where i was just icked out…but the last 10% did have me interested. overall there were just a lot of icks for me and things that i personally did not enjoy….okay thank you for your time
I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook for this book and I thought it was brilliant! It was multicast which made it so easy to follow along and the narrators all did a brilliant job. As for the story, I was immediately hooked and wanted to know what was going to happen next, I freaking love slashers and this book was definitely calling my name 😏
If you love slasher films, taboo twists, gore, and smut, then Last Summer is definitely for you!
I am in love with this quick and twisted read. This is definitely not a dark romance folks, check your trigger warnings and proceed accordingly! ⚠️
LO and Luna do a wonderful job bringing these elements together into a hot and tormented novella. I couldn't put it down! The characters kept me on the edge of my seat, dying to know what happens next!
I'm ever honored to ARC read for both these authors! All thoughts are my own.
LAST SUMMER lost me when a girl was drugged and then raped. And just because it was women doing it doesn't make it okay. Rape is rape. I've read erotic horror that have a good balance of the two but this was just porn with sprinkles of story thrown in. And before anyone asks, no I didn't read the triggers because I don't get triggered easily and didn't this time, this was just a gross story that felt like it was trying too hard for shock value (incest, anyone?). But authors can you please stop the whole "for trigger warnings go to my website". I get why because you want the traction but what if someone buys a physical copy and can't get access to your site and the content IS triggering for them? Just seems irresponsible to me & a new trend that needs to go away. Last Summer had potential to be a fun slasher read but unfortunately just focused too much on everything but that.
FYI I went to this author's site so I could include the TW in my review and Last Summer isn't even on there unless its to buy and shocker, no TW are posted. So not sure how readers are suppose to get them 😂 So I'll post my TW below⬇️
TW: Rape Incest Murder Gore Group sex

This was erotic horror gold and everything I anticipated from Lo and Luna and then some!!!
It’s twisted, smutty, dark, and taboo and such a creative twist on a legendary movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” I don’t want to give a single juicy moment away but be sure to follow along with the titles of each chapter! It just added to my joy in reading (or truthfully devouring) this short story. With it being less than 100 pages it was utter perfection, packed with plot, suspense, murder, and a whole WILD back story.
All because of a man who wasn’t really worth it. But that makes it even better right?!
It also leaves us cliffhanging a bit so buckle up because this horrific story is going to be a trickster of a treat!
Huge thank you to the authors for the gift of this read!
Wild. Erotic. Suspense Psychological Thriller. This is NOT a Dark Romance…
The trigger list is extensive given this is a short novella that can be read in one sitting. I mean, if you are a pearl clutcher, walk away - I BEG. Because you won’t be able to handle the content.
This is a multi POV erotic horror novella with “I Know what you did Last Summer,” and “Scream” vibes - but make it spicy with cam girls/guys. A remote wooded location. Lots of Poly/Bi/FF love, and scenes that’ll make you scream (good and bad).
10/10 would recommend. It’s perfect for a scary summer story or for spooky season right around the corner!
THIS BOOK IS AN EROTIC HORROR - READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE YOU START!
You'd think, considering the fact that I am not the biggest fan of horror movies (despite having watched nearly all the most popular ones), I wouldn't find erotic horrors so soul gripping but I am addicted!
This book is blood-curdling fucking brilliance. Elements of all your favourite horror movies from Scream to Terrifier to Final Destination bring this filthy story together. The characters are those you love to hate, you know they all clearly deserve their fates and you want to revel in their suffering (or maybe that's just me and I'm the psycho). Our main focus is Danica, her boyfriend died in a car accident and now, instead of taking her full ride to college and making something of herself, she's an only fans cam girl with her best friend and roommate Abby.
Lured into the woods under false pretences, the carnage begins. They are their to fuck and make money... right? Wrong, there is a masked psycho killing them off one by one, taunting them with notes and messages through the chat rooms attached to their debauched live streams.
The plot twist in this book is BRILLIANT, dark and very unhinged but absolutely fucking awesome! Lo and Luna are clearly very twisted souls and I love it! Give me more!
The spice is a full 4 out of 5 as a) there is a lot of it and b) it is filthy and a little messed up at times.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a continuation of this because I think there could be more to it, maybe even a prequel?
I received this book for free from the Blue Nose Audio in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Imagine you get invited to a camping trip for OnlyFans influencers, and one night you hear screams of terror and find one of the attendees on the floor with her intestines falling out of her back. What do you do? Obviously, you live-stream an orgy.
Last Summer by Lo Gold and Luna K Wicked is the perfect story for any fan of horror looking to get into the world of erotic horror. When a group of six strangers are invited into the woods for a content creator retreat where they’re guaranteed to make money, it seems like a perfect escape. However, as accidents turn into incidents and blood begins to spill, they start to suspect they were lured into the wilderness for a reason.
What I love about the story is all the throwbacks to classic and modern horror films. Each chapter is named and themed around a horror movie. For example, in the chapter Terrifier, a killer is dressed similarly to Art the Clown. I’m not going to say more than that because I don’t want to give away spoilers. Although the story is campy and cheesy at times, it is very well-written. I don’t think the book would be as good without those cheesy moments. The characters are exactly like the archetypes you’d expect to see in horror movies.
Now, what’s a good slasher without some good ol’ gratuitous sex scenes? And since this is an erotic horror novel, the sex is cranked up to eleven. Just be warned that the first scene is not of a consensual nature, so check your triggers. These scenes tie into the campiness of the book, as several characters live-stream an orgy immediately after their friend’s death.
The adiobook is going to be the best way to experience Last Summer. There is a stacked cast of voice actors bringing this story to life. Including Marie Hawkins, Shiloh James, Amanda Willow, Vivianne Laroue, William Macloud, and Grayson Owens. The runtime is approximately three hours and totally worth your time. It’s produced by Blue Nose Audio so you know it’s a banger. And I’m not just saying that because they gave me an ALC. The production really is fantastic.
So, who is Last Summer for? Well, if you love horror and you love smut, this is a quick listen that’s going to leave you hot and bothered and a little bit scared.
You how the old school slasher films make you laugh between screams & cringes? This book captures that specific feeling perfectly.
With moments of pure humor, a plethora of explicit on-page smut, and just the right amount of creative, bloody murd3r, this novella is a delight!
It’s like a love letter to horror fans. With some of the best horror films in the cannon as chapter titles, shoutout: Jennifer’s Body, it feels like an immersive horror flick experience.
With a plot twist so perfectly designed that you see it coming, as you would some of the cheesier horror franchises, but then executed in such a way that elicits both barrel laughs and that classic “oh no” gut-punch, this story blows its premise out of the water and delivers a whole-hearted, thoughtful homage to the genre.
I often find in their writing that it’s more of a bodily experience than a typical act of reading.
For the less squemish, the lovers of all things horror, the crime junkies, and all the lovely weirdos who just like it a little rough!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Last Summer by Lo Gold & Luna K. Wicked
This one’s hard to rate because for what it is, it’s really freaking good. It doesn’t belong in my 5-star shelf, but wow, was it entertaining.
Holy crap, this was a wild ride! A super spicy, graphic slasher horror novella about six influencers lured to the woods for a game rooted in revenge that they definitely didn’t sign up for.
It’s all banging and bleeding from start to finish, hot, fast-paced, and completely unhinged in the best way. Think 90s slasher film meets modern OnlyFans chaos.
Spice: 5🌶️ Gore: 5🩸
If you’re in the mood for something quick, filthy, and bloody, pick this up this spooky season.
If you love classic slasher movies with so smut smut it will having you sweating in all the right places then this short novella is for you. I loved all the classic horror movie mentions aswell. It’s filled with taboo twists, gore and so much smut. This is not a dark romance!! It is an erotic horror so check your trigger warnings! I was also pretty shocked at the plot twist aswell.
Wow, this short novella is big on the action. If you're into twisted serial unaliver and a group of only fans creators stuck in the woods, this is it! 5 girls, 1 guy, and a whole bunch of wickedness. Mind the trigger warnings if you're bothered by specific content. I quickly devoured this tale and loved every minute of it.
Last Summer is an erotic horror novel. Honestly, I had no idea what I was getting into when I started reading this one, but I saw someone rec it and I was intrigued. Was it perfect? No. I can’t see anyone behaving the way these people do when people are being killed off (they’re only fans content creators so take that for what you will). But it WAS very spicy so if you like that plus movies like Friday the 13th then you may enjoy this one. Also, that twist at the end? Made my stomach roll and not in a good way LOL.
🔪Erotic horror 💜Revenge 🔪Cam girl/cam guy 💜Masked st@|ker 🔪Praise and degradation
This book was incredible I was not ready for it to end 100 pages was not enough!!!! There is some for every horror fan there’s a a touch of all our favorite classics. this was twisted dark and I loved every minute of it. There was plot twist. Let me say there’s one character that irked my soul that was Abby!! if you love, erotic horror and you don’t have triggers. I would suggest you go in blind, but if not, definitely check your triggers for this one!!!!
Last summer by Lo Gold and Luna K. Wicked is a horror erotica novella. Imagine Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Friday the 13th, but make it a horror erotica with a full cast narration and you will get Last Summer audiobook. Let me just give you this amazing lineup of voices: Shilo James, Vivienne LaRue, Marie Hawkins, Amanda Willow, Grayson Owens, and William Macleod. The cast has delivered an experience and a performance to that will make you remember all the tension, drama, the mystery, and terror. This is an immersive experience in a dramatic horror story, but not only, you will get quite a bit of spice with this story.
Gawd Dammmnnnn, and also Holy Fawking Smokes…. Lo and Luna literally murdered this.. I’m mouth open begging for more!! Erotic horror at its finest 🔥 For the slasher, thriller, twist obsessed novella fans .. you’re going to scream for this !
Short and filled with a lot Spice! 🖤✨Loved All the characters and boy the plot twist at the end!!! ✨🥵 I honestly would love to See authors LO Gold and Luna K Wicked Write more stories together because this was absolutely an amazing chilling romantic thriller and gave heavy Slasher Movie Vibes Think Scream/ Mixed with a Bit of Scary Movie 2 🖤😂 Thank you for an eARC!
I surprisingly pieced together what was happening very early on and who was behind everything and the relationship that caused it…. Don’t ask me why or how, because idk, too many dark eroticas? Possibly
Either way, still a good read in between other books
This little novella might only be 109 pages long but it sure has it all. Spice 🥵, plot twist, murder and revenge. I for sure thought I knew who the killer was but boy was I wrong! Nothing like a good plot twist. This book is definitely dark with some taboo. Check your triggers I’d tell you them but I didn’t even bother with them. Lo and Luna did an amazing job on this book.
This was a super fun and spicy read! It combines a bunch of my favorite slasher film elements and gives kind of an 80s slasher horror vibe while being modern. I love how they incorporated the cammers being there to make content instead of the classic summer camp/camp counselor jam. It really worked well and provided plenty of opportunity for spicy scenes that mix well with the horror plot. I had a really good time reading this.
