Excellent start to latest Carolyn McCray book, "Insurgency: The ISIS crisis (Rapid Response International Thriller series Book 1)"! I could not put this one down without losing sleep time but it was well worth it. A new team gets called on at moment's notice to save a princess and then the Vice President and the action ramps up to nail biting level in a second followed closely by "forget sleep I need to finish this book" right away level. If you're a fan of Carolyn McCray or a fan of fast moving thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end, don't let this book pass you by!

This hard hitting political thriller, Carolyn McCray’s latest offering, is right on target with today’s political headlines. Introducing a new team that works efficiently with some members of Brandt’s old team the story is a pulse pounding chase through Europe and the Middle East as they track ISIS. As usual McCray shows her knowledge of military operations and weaponry. From start to finish I was engaged with the team as they battled bad guys and badder girls in their race to rescue the Vice President of the United States. With twists and turns McCray builds the intensity until the nail biting conclusion. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to see where the team heads next.

Fast-packed thriller.

Topic is relevant to current events. I enjoyed Ms. McCray's writing style. The story and writing style was a five. However, due to editorial errors I gave it a four. I check my notes to see if authors fix their errors before I reread or buy more books from an author I like, such as Carolyn McCray. I recommend this thriller.
