Sacred Bond #3

Her Reunion Bond

Rate this book
Single Dad Blues . . .

Ever since she lost her unborn child and the use of her leg in an accident, Wendy Smith has given up on romance and focused on kids—her own foster kids, and those she teaches.

Daniel Masterson, Wendy’s high school boyfriend, has been earning money hand-over-fist in the entertainment industry, but his wife’s death showed him how shallow his life is—especially now that he’s raising his daughter alone. With the encouragement of his Sacred Bond brothers, Daniel returns to Pittsburgh to do a fund-raising campaign for Wendy’s school, and he rents a house adjacent to Wendy’s.

Now the two families are forced to spend time together, and Wendy and Daniel’s attraction reignites. The only problem is that Wendy’s never told him the truth about the baby she lost…

Easy read

I can’t say that this was my favorite book ever but was definitely one that I would recommend. I purchased it to read during a slow night at work and ended up reading the entire book in one night. A little predictable, but a very easy read with a heartwarming story line.

Daniel and Wendy’s story of past hurts and sins that still affect both of them. Wendy’s foster children add a deeper element to the story along with Daniel’s daughter who is so troubled from the life her mother had led. Really good read.

Great Read

I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters. I was glad to see the protagonist as a voluptuous person with a disability. How love won out.

Her Reunion Bond (A Sacred Bond novel) by Lee Tobin McClain is a Christian romance book. Wendy Smith is working at the Rainbow Ark School handling their Creative Arts Program. When Wendy was younger, she was in a car accident that left with using a cane. The school is experiencing financial troubles and has hired Daniel Masterson and his agency to assist them with publicity and raising funds. Daniel and Wendy have not seen each other since the summer after high school. Daniel is trying to change his life and live a Christian life-style. He wants to set a better example for his daughter, Tiffany (who has been spoiled rotten by her mother). In order for Wendy and Daniel to be together, Wendy will need to overcome her prejudices toward men (thanks to her mother), a secret that she has never shared, and her outlook toward her disability. This is a sweet, Christian romance. I have enjoyed every book in the Sacred Bond series and look forward to reading about Boone’s journey in the next book (coming in January).

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet story

I am a sucker for the tall, dark and handsome hero who falls in love with someone who is not stick skinny and model beautiful, and has a disability. The story of Wendy and Daniel was sweet, full of angst and travesty, but also poignant and heartwarming. They had been a couple when they were teenagers, and Wendy has withheld a big secret from Daniel. Even though Wendy has been dealt a tough hand, she is giving and caring, with a heart for disadvantaged children. Wendy has foster children and Daniel has a daughter from a previous marriage. The children were strong secondary characters as were Wendy's mother who had her own romance. Speaking of romance, once again Lee (author) wove some really romantic moments and great kissing scenes. Overall, a very enjoyable read :). Highly recommended!

I loved this book. It is another wonderful read in an outstanding series. This book follows Daniel, another member of the Sacred Bond group, and Wendy as they battle hurt feeling from the past and learn how negative feelings about themselves and each other stood in the way of what God was trying to do in their lives. The author also approaches the issue of foster care and work with hurting children with different disabilities in a very touching and heartwarming way. This is another read from this author that I definitely recommend, and this is a series that anyone who enjoys Christian romance will not want to miss reading. I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I must say that this book, "Her Reunion Bond " has really touched my heart and has been a tear jerker..I can really relate to Wendy because I have had some of her trials in my life.
Daniel is also a strong character.
It's such a joy to see a couple come back to the Lord and seek forgiveness. The Lord is good and works in wondrous ways.
I agree that you are going to be an author to watch and that is my honest review, not just because I received a free book.
Thank you again, Lee

Another absolutely awesome book in this great series. Daniel and Wendy must realize that negative and hurt feelings from the past must be forgiven before they can be friends or anything more in the future. God has forgiven and changed their lives making them different and new people. Wendy works with mentally and physically challenged young people. She also is a foster parent that loves her children. As a single woman how can she adopt them? God has a plan. I was given this 3rd book of the Bond Series for an honest review. I highly recommend that you read all of this upcoming authors books.

I have received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. As with all of Lee's books, it is wonderful! It is filled with hope, love, hurt, and forgiveness. The issues that the characters struggle with are easy to relate to. The author does a wonderful job showing how easily our negative views of ourselves can affect the plans that God has for our lives. As long as we take the issues to Him and move beyond them, He will do amazing things in our lives.

The opening scenes had me instantly rooting for Wendy and her work with troubled youths. When her ex-boyfriend shows up, the sparks fly.

I loved the tension between Daniel and Wendy--how each needed to forgive and be forgiven and grow in their faith.

A truly beautiful second chance love story that fans of Christian romance will enjoy.

What a great book. Wendy has a real problem moving on from her past. Daniel returns to her life and she can't let the past go. These problems are handled so well by this author. Reliance on God clearly runs through this story. Highly recommend this book.
