For romantic suspense fans, this novella delivers the action, sizzling attraction and suspense you are looking for. Tory and Jordan are out to prove that the crime Tory witnessed really occurred. This is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat story that has many twists and turns. This tale is full of intrigue.

This is a wonderful suspenseful romance. Margaret Daley always brings a wonderful story and with this novella it's no different. She weaves a story of a young woman, Tory, who is trying to do the right thing and suddenly she finds herself in a world of trouble. She heads out one evening to pick her young son up from his friend's house when she witnesses a hit and run. She reports the incident to the local police, but when they can't find a body she is suddenly labeled as making up the story. Jordan Steele lives across the street from Tory and volunteers to help her investigate on her own for the missing body. Suddenly Tory finds herself being questioned by everyone in town, but Jordan.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

Deadly Holiday is yet another enjoyable read by Margaret Daley. I was captivated right at the beginning when Tory witnesses a hit-and-run. The story is full of suspense and action that I love to read in Daley's books. It is a quick read and perfect for anyone who loves a suspenseful read. And with it being set during Christmas time, it is perfect to read during the holiday season (or any other time of the year). Great novella!

Margaret Daley is a master at writing suspense that will keep you turning pages, thinking you know who done it, only to finish and find you were wrong. Deadly Holiday starts with a witness, Tory Caldwell, a speeding black sports car, a dead body that mysteriously disappears and one Sergeant Bennett who questions how you can have a hit-and-run without a body. You'll find this novella is full of suspense, romance and the feel of a special Christmas for Tory, her ten year-old son, Morgan, and handsome neighbor Jordan Steele. Each book I've read of Margaret Daley is enjoyable, full of intrigue and suspense and impossible to put down until you finish. Loved it!

Tory Caldwell moved to a small town after her husbands death. Just as she was getting her life together and her son was settling in, she witnessed a hit-and-run accident. Who knew witnessing this event would change her life so drastically?

Jordan Steele was working through his survivors guilt and memories from war. When his neighbor needed help, he jumped in to help. It was good to get his mind off of his problems for a while.

As always Margaret Daley does a fantastic with this suspense romance. The story keeps you on your toes while trying to figure out who is good and who is bad. Amidst the suspense of course...romance blooms.

Deadly Holiday
By: Margaret Daley
If you are looking for action, suspense, and romance then this is the novella for you. Margaret Daley does not disappoint me. Tory has witness a crime, police does not believe her . Jordan is trying to help her. Does he believe her story? This novella is packed full of action and romance. This is one of those books that has you glued to your seat till the end. If you witness a crime and no one would believe you, what would you do?

This was a quick read that held my interest. For a short book, there's lots of action, much suspense, a developing romance, and quite simply a good, clean story. I am grateful for books like this that tell a good story and avoid the use of even slang words and sexual inuendo. I received this book in e-book format from the author for an honest review. I recommend it.

Tory sees a hit and run while outside of cell phone service. When she returns from reporting it, the body has mysteriously disappeared. When her neighbor Jordan steps in to help solve the mystery, multiple unexplainable incidents occur. This is a novella length story.

The story kept my attention and was very interesting. I enjoyed another story from Margaret Daley.

This is an awesome story that I was able to read in just a couple of hours. Something freaky is happening and Tory tries to do the right thing, but ends up being the one in trouble. Only her neighbor believes her and tries to help.

Very exciting story. Couldn't put it down .

I gave Deadly Holiday 5 stars because it kept me on the edge of my seat. Not every story can do that.
I love the fact that faith in God is uppermost in the minds of the endangered ones.

This was a fast read that holds your interest with its suspense and mystery of who done it or even if it was done. Ms. Daley writes a wonderful story with an outstanding plot, she throws in just a touch of romance, along with a wonderful dog and outstanding characters. You do not know who to trust or which way to go as she takes you down a path and leaves you with a few clues to work it out for yourself. Could Tory have really seen what she thought or is she just a nutcase?

The author gives you all the details in this short read, which she does in a fast pace. She leaves very little out and you are never hanging. She throws you a few spins to keep you interested. In no time at all you are hooked and racing through the book to find out what really happen to an old man. Is he really dead and if so who is behind the cover up? It looks like maybe the higher ups could be in on this deal.

Margaret Daley writes stories you can’t put down, she never leaves you hanging as she gives you books with a well told story. She is an outstanding author, when you see her name you know it will be a good read. I totally loved this story and there was nothing I didn’t like. It might be short but it is a full read well worth your time.

I enjoyed the book...a very quick read but held my interest from the first. Hadn't intended to read it all at once but ended up finishing it in one sitting so didn't get to bed quite as early as I had planned! A quick-reading, clean, suspense book which I'd recommend.

'Romantic Suspense' says it all. This is one of the best of this author's books. I didn't give it five stars, though, because I felt the ending was somewhat weak and was a bit of a 'let down' after the rest of the book being so well written.

Hit and Run?

Tory witnesses a hit and run accident. The driver flees the scene. Tory goes to the victim and realizes that he is dead. Unable to get a signal on her cell phone, she goes to a little store nearby and calls the police. She returns to the accident scene but all that remains is a puddle of blood on he road. Thus begins this book. It seems that the driver of the hit and run vehicle may get away with this crime, although Tory gave the authorities the inscription on the vanity plate on the vehicle. Then someone begins to impugn her character.

Will they get all this straightened out or will Tory lose her teaching job? It is a good thing she finds support from a neighbor. Read this book to get the details and outcome. I enjoyed this book and hope you also enjoy it!

I purchased Deadly Holiday by Margaret Daley May 24, 2017 as part of a 3 book bundle and this review was given freely.
Widowed elementary school teacher and single Mom Tory joins with her neighbor and landlord, retired ex-Navy Seal, Jordan to obtain justice after the hit and run murder she witnesses is covered up by the local police. This third in the series of short Christian romantic suspenses is more graphically violent than the last two. The struggle with PTSD, the sweetness of new romance, and a strong faith in God provide balance to the corruption and violence.

Troy knows what she saw. A young man in a sports car hit a man on the mountain, then sped off. She checked the man and knew he was dead. She found his identification so she knew who he was. When the police arrive the body is gone. No one believes her, except the killer and her neighbor.
Jordan, her landlord, and neighbor is an ex-navy seal. He steps in to help Troy as her life is in danger and her reputation is smeared to discredit her story.
I recommend this book to all who enjoy good clean reading and happy ever afters.

A sweet, clean, short mystery! I enjoyed this story and, unfortunately, I believe this type of cover-up from this story happens far more than we are willing to admit. I have seen it in our own community - not in a situation as major as this, but still a definite cover-up to protect someone who was at fault in a crime.

Ms. Daley's writings are easy reading, interesting stories and very enjoyable, although these stories may keep you awake longer at night then you might have planned as you will want to read just one more chapter. :)

This was a very enjoyable story. Tory was in a tough spot in her life as a widow with a young son, living in a new area. She just wanted to do the right thing and it turned out so wrong.

I always enjoy stories that include ex-Navy seals! Especially ones with dogs!! Jordan was a great character that also had a depth to him.

The storyline itself was good, somewhat predictable, but that's okay. The writing was strong and engaging, it served its purpose, an escape into another world.

Good Book

Don't know if it was just me, but I thought this book started out good and mix of slowed a little and then about half way, or a little more it really picked up and was great through the end. I liked that it kept me trying to figure out exactly what was going on and who was guilty till I almost the end.

It was okay. Unfortunately, there were some inconsistencies in the story that annoyed me (for example, at the beginning she wished she knew CPR, then only a few pages later she told someone she was trained in first aid). But it was a quick read and I liked the characters, so not too bad.

I appreciate that the books in this series are standalones. This is a quick, action-packed read but still allows for the development of the romance. Although there isn't much of a spiritual journey involved, the characters are people of faith.

Sad that some one would frame a teacher, set up with drugs ect. with her stong faith she overcome with the help of God, a ex navy seal and a good cop, get the dirty cop ,the father who covering up everything and the son who hit and run killing a man

As Christmas Approachs

Tory was a widow with a young son who was fairly new to town. Jordan was her neighbor that she barely knew. Until she witnessed an accident that killed a man and reported it.

While this story is fraught with danger something didn't click with me. I do appreciate the Christian approach to Ms. Daley's stories though.
