Wonderful Junk

Rate this book
How do you turn a shrimp sandwich into a horse? Jeremiah the auctioneer discovers how when he learns that one person's junk is another's "wonderful junk". When his truck breaks down, Jeremiah embarks on a series of trades to get himself a horse. He trades his ship-in-a-bottle for an old bicycle. Then the bicycle is exchanged for a bridle, the bridle for a bag of oats, and so on, until he's left with a couple of shrimp sandwiches. But how is he to trade these for a horse? It's easy, when you throw in a little imagination--and the help of good friends.

Rambles a bit, but it just heightens the nostalgia of going for long drives with my dad looking for salvageable junk.
