I thoroughly enjoyed reading this text for my Race and Minority Relations course. It provides vocabulary and perspectives to help readers articulate ideas and concepts regarding race, ethnicity, and nationality. I liked that the author provided vocabulary lists, questions, and real testimonies from people regarding racial topics. Additionally, I learned a myriad of theories and concepts that I have never learned about prior to reading this text. This book is merely a survey text and provides a brief overview and does not go into great detail. If one is looking for a foundation for understanding and articulating ideas about race, ethnicity, and nationality, I would recommend this text. However, one should go beyond this text and conduct further research.

Read for my Race and Ethnicity class - it is an opinion written booked backed up with statistics and a request to face reality that we are a culturally diverse nation.
