Beauty. Fame. A socialite. A hotel heiress of the Perconti family. And yet Arianna Perconti didn't have it all. She didn't have her freedom to make her own life decisions until she decided to be a runaway bride and take charge of her life. She couldn't marry the man that her brother, Leo wanted her to marry in order to save their hotel empire. Instead, Ari found herself running to the man who has been her secret lover. The man who was her brother and family's hotel rival. Jason Stone. When Ari asked Jason for a favor, he didn't hesitate granting her wishes. As they continued their secret sexual rendezvous, passion, lust and a new intense feelings begins to ignite. But what happens when Jason's secret past comes threatening his reputation and could possibly be a PR disaster if the media found out what he did before? Could Ari stand by his side? Or will Ari see Jason as a ruthless business man who will stop nothing at being successful? Is Ari a pawn in his game to watch the Perconti family business crumble?

#ForHisPleasure

While I really enjoyed and loved the first book, At His Service of the Playboys of Boston Series, I have mixed feelings on the second installment, For His Pleasure. Don't get me wrong, while I enjoyed this second book, I didn't love it as I would hoped and expected for. The sexual chemistry of Jason and Ari was hot, erotic and steamy but there was a little too much sex for my taste and soon the storyline begins to lose focus. Toss in the fact, that I felt Ari didn't exert the independence to pull me into liking her her character. I think Jason's past was what kept me engaged into the story. Overall, this book was enjoyable but not my favorite.

Didn't like these characters. Hero and Heroine were childish/whiny/immature and bratty. Couldn't deal with them.

Ari is the sheltered younger sister with brothers who won´t let her live her life, in her opinion, when she crosses paths with the man who´s competing with them profesionally. Rivaling hotel owners, but Jason can´t resist her either.
When Ari needs a place to stay, Jason is the first one she thinks of.
Contemporary romance, emotions and smutty fluff.
3,5 - it would have been a 4 if both the Hero and the heroine didn´t have their TSTL moments.

The first story in the series, At His Service: Parts 1-4, was broken up into 4 parts, but fortunately this one is all nice and complete with no cliffhangers or delayed publication dates. This has now developed into a series called "Playboys of Boston." Similar to At His Service, there's a little set-up at the end for the next book. Although I'm not sure who the book will have as the H/h, the "big bad" and overarching storyline will continue. This one isn't a cliffhanger, it just leaves some things open for more trouble.

I don't remember liking Jason very much in the first book (and we weren't supposed to). I pretty much liked him 99.9% of this book. He was a normal, every day hero with a splash of alpha and pride to round him out.

I liked Wes (Karyn's housekeeping friend from At His Service and Marco's former lover), but then something weird happens and Arianna's fiance Landon later goes to the same club and I'm not really sure what any of that was about or why Wes sent Landon knowing Deacon and that woman were off??

I absolutely 200% did not like Arianna, which is sad since I think I remember liking her in her brother Leo's book. I can't think of one selfless action or thought she did in all 352 pages. Yes, she had a charity, but it was about her and proving her independence and how she's not a party girl but an intelligent young woman. I understand and sympathize her brother's treated her carelessly, but her actions to prove herself were nothing but immature and self-centered, over the top histrionics. I found nothing redeeming about her and unfortunately the number of times I rolled my eyes kept me from enjoying the book.

The "big bad" of the book was glaringly obvious, but I went along for the journey. I got turned around a few times by the number of ransom drops and who was supposed to be where and when. Unfortunately, it all fell flat for me by the time we had a group hug and I was completely confused. I'm not being sarcastic or making the group hug up - that literally happened. Fortunately, my confusion was cleared up in the epilogue and now understand how it will carry forward to the next book in the series. Also be prepared for a lot of sex. Voyeruism seemed to be the theme for this book with everyone.

Jason could be quite the charmer, “of course not.” He pressed his lips against her shoulder. “You are so much more than a plaything to me, Ari.” He could be a caring guy, “I’m right here, princess. I’m right here.” He bent down and kissed her forehead, which made her smile. “Do you hurt anywhere else?” I liked this book, it kept my attention to the end.

Note: This ARC was provided by St. Martin's Press in exchange for an honest review.

For His Pleasure is the second novel in the Playboys of Boston series from author Suzanne Rock and it takes place right after the events in the first novel, At His Service, though it does begin with how Arianna Perconti and Jason Stone first meet. This is the kind of book that holds great promise because of a very enticing synopsis, but then that's what blurbs are supposed to do, right? Hook the reader with the promise of a great story and characters you can fall in love with. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to feel much of anything for either Ari or Jason. She was very immature for someone her age and seemed to have a preference for handling situations without a great deal of thought for how her actions would affect everyone else. My opinion of Jason was already low in book one and didn't improve too much in book two.

There's a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of sex to that goes on between Ari and Jason, and I understand that their relationship is founded on their mutual love of having sex with one another, but I wanted a bit more substance in the story line. Jason is supposed to be a savvy businessman and hotelier, yet he took the word of his estranged brother hook, line, and sinker without taking into consideration everything that happened prior. I also wondered about Ari's choice to be with someone like Jason--every bit the alpha male that her oldest brother is--while decrying how her brother is domineering--which is exactly what Jason is. This also ends on a cliffhanger, which I have aversion towards, so my frustration was at a high. My curiosity will probably lead to me reading the next in the series. For His Pleasure ended as a fairly okay three-star read. ♥

**This was a DNF**

The description of this book sounded so good! I was super excited to read it! But I'm sad to relay that it didn't live up to my expectations at all.

From the beginning, I didn't really like the heroine, Ari. I tried over and over to give her another chance but I just couldn't get to the point where I could even tolerate her. She kept going on and on about how she didn't want to be controlled by her brother anymore and that she wanted to be treated like an adult but then she would do really childish things. Like, skip out on her wedding...the day of the wedding. Not doing the adult thing and talking about it to someone, ANYONE. Nope, she just up and runs away and doesn't say a word to anyone. Real mature. Ugh. I couldn't take it.

The hero was slightly better but not a lot. It's all about what an asshole Jason is and how he's this great businessman. But he falls blindly for his brother's line of bullshit which I saw through in about two minutes. And my god, could the dude not keep his thing in his pants for five minutes after seeing the heroine? I mean, I love sex scenes just as much as the next gal, probably more than most. But this was like, holy crap! Give it a rest, you two!

I might have been able to finish this book had I read Book 1 in this series. Maybe seeing some of the family before the events of this book would make me more inclined to give everyone the benefit of the doubt? I don't know. The heroine was too idiotic for me to want to go any further than I did. I probably won't give this series another chance but I would definitely give this author another try!

Just what the doctor ordered. Family rivalries, secret longings, falling for Mr. Wrong. Ms. Rock always supplies just enough of the pleasure to make you feel guilty but not regret the experience. As with every Suzanne Rock novel there is more to Jason than he wants others to see. Ari is hell bent on solving the puzzle that is Jason. In order to do that she has to let out her inner vixen. I received a copy of For His Pleasure in exchange for an honest review. Seduction goes both ways.

I'm really not a fan of wannabe "bad girls" or "it" girls or the "I'm not like other girls" trope so yeah, the story really wasn't that great for me. As for the guy, that was a really odd background for him - plus, kind of wasn't a fan of the whole loan shark thing. But to each his own.

My Thoughts

First off i need to thank the folks at St Martin's Press and Netgalley for getting this continuation of the series to me early. there's nothing i love more than having the chance to continue with a story that i've loved - before it's available to the masses.

In this 2nd installment of the series, we are focusing on Ari, the sister of the Perconti family, after she's decided that she can't go through with the faux marriage that her brothers had set up in the hopes of saving their business. Neither Ari nor the man she was supposed to marry wanted to go through with it because their tastes and emotions lay elsewhere, and of course there's going to be an issue when all hell breaks loose. The nice thing with this story though is that we got the tease of it in the first book, and then when this one starts, it's actually a flash back in time about a year, when Ari had met the man that she actually has feelings for - a man who is really bad for her to be in a relationship of any sort, because he's the owner of the biggest competitor to her family's business.

So here we are, in 'present' day - when Ari's left her wedding, gone to be with the guy that she shouldn't and of course if that's not bad enough, you know that there's got to be a lot more that will happen. True to Ms Rock's style, we have a story that's relatively complex in the depth of story line for each character - reminding us of course of what's gone on in the past with characters that we met in book 1. The other bit too is that there's not just the story line with Ari and then Ari and Jason, but we learn that Jason has his own issues, and while we don't go into significant depth on things, we get to see that he hasn't always been as clean as a whistle and that comes to bite him in the butt.

Where this story takes us in on a path of intense passion between Ari and Jason, personal growth and a fight for independence from Ari, a challenge of what's more important with Jason, family and past, or the future and what can be.

The twist at the end, and the cliffhanger of sorts that we're left on is a really intense one. I think that it's safe to say that it was expected, but the turn that it took in the epilogue, well that wasn't necessarily something that i expected to see, and i can't wait to see how it plays out. The question will just become, is this something that the Percontis and the Stones can come out of on the positive, will there be relationships that are killed in the meantime and who's going to end up on the positive side of business. So all in all a lot to think about and i can't wait to get my hands on that next installment.

This book was a little difficult for me to review. On the one hand, it has lots of hot, steamy, kinky, melt your kindle, scenes. On the other, I wasn’t really crazy about either one of the main the characters and not really crazy about the plot as a whole. It was a little disappointing because the prologue grabbed me immediately and I love Suzanne's other books.

Arianna is a young woman who is to about to get married to forge an alliance for her brother. But being in a loveless marriage, even one she agreed to be in, suddenly has her feeling trapped and on her wedding day, she pulls a Julia Roberts and runs to her boy toy on the side, Jason. Arianna's biggest problem is that her brother runs her life and doesn’t see her as an adult because of some mistakes she’s made in the past. She’s determined to make him see her as an adult. She does this by hiding out with her friends with benefits and her brother’s rival Jason. While they’ve been together for years, they know they’re both in it for the kinky sex and have no other expectations other than that. So when she turns to him for help, it changes their relationship. He’s another equally domineering man so it’s mostly Arianna taking herself out of the frying pan and directly onto the flame. Was never sure how she was supposed to exert her independence if she couldn’t even find her voice.

Added to this, she continues to make bad choices time and again. I mean, there’s naïve and then there’s Arianna. I don’t know. It just felt that she lacked a lot of common sense and she was beginning to irk me. Throw in Jason's brother who’s shady as all get out, acts suspicious throughout the entire book, and no one seems to really have issues with it and it just became a point that I started to skim through the book to see if anything else was going to happen that might give the characters some redeeming qualities and a little more depth.

All in all, if you like to read kink and don’t care that the characters are sort of annoying, this will work. For me, there were so many of the scenes, it actually got a bit boring. It was every chapter. Seriously. Yeah, I get it. You’re in the laundry room and you could get caught. Oh, do you hear someone? And here’s another scene where we could get caught. I don’t know. It stopped being hot after a while.

Arianna Perconti is tired of being the Perconti princess that follows orders and has no power to make any decisions until...one day she makes one of the biggest decision she has ever made. Arianna Perconti decides to leave her fiancé at the altar and with no other place to go she runs to the last person her family would ever guess she would be with, her family's fiercest rival, Jason Stone.

Jason Stone loves to be in charge and live his life on the edge. Willing to do whatever it takes to win he sees that Arianna would be the best tool to bring down the Perconti family. Although he did not expect Arianna to leave her fiancé, he tries to make the best of his sinister plan.

But what is Jason supposed to do when his plans to take over the Perconti family gets pushed to the back burner because old skeletons keep popping out of the closet and putting her life at risk...showing him that Arianna may be the only thing he is willing to give up everything for? Read and find out!

I received this book as an ARC from Net Galley for my honest review

I have literally been waiting for this book to come out after I read the last page of book one in this series 'At His Service'. Suzanne Rock does a great job with this book keeping the reader on their toes not only giving them romance, but suspense, passion and a little bit of action.

I loved that Arianna wasn't just a spoiled princess, she was trying to do something meaningful. Although some of her actions were extremely naïve and questionable, I could not help but cry just a little bit when things blew up in her face because she had the best of intentions.

I was a little confused at first by Jason because after everything you hear about him in 'At His Service' book 1, you expect him to be a horrible person. I guess that just shows you how crazy the perception of others can be. I expected him to be such a jerk but....he wasn't... he was an opportunist to the fullest but when you learn why, you kind of pity him.

Together Jason and Arianna are unstoppable. He makes her stronger and she makes him more human and loveable. Proving that two people from two different worlds can come together and make something beautiful.

Overall this book was great, one moment you think you have it all figured out and then bam!.. everything changes. Great job Suzanne Rock cant wait to see what happens next!

I received an ARC copy through NetGalley.

The companion sequel to At His Service: Parts 1-4 and it follows Arianna Perconti and Jason Stone. Two unlikely people who come together in times of struggle. I enjoyed this book because it was a good insight on who Jason Stone was as well as Arianna since she didn't have much exposure in the first book.

Arianna Perconti ran away from her family on her wedding day leaving Landon at the alter and a bunch of rumors to be spread. Arianna is the youngest of Perconti family with three older brothers and two younger twin siblings, but everyone seems to not listen to her wants and needs. Granted, she may have her moments of seeming childish, but I liked how she tried to stand up to her brothers even if it failed tremendously.

Jason Stone is really not what I expected him to be. I got a chance to see how he grew up and the hardships he endured. I don't like how he became a con artist, but applaud his growth. He's an adventurous, daredevil and I loved it. I love that in his own way he tried to hash things with Karin in the end and apologize.

Leo, Dante and Marco are phenomenal older brothers for Arianna. They love and want to protect her from any harm that can happen. They can be overbearing, especially Leo, but they mean well and love her dearly. Deacon, on the otherhand, is a horrible brother for Jason. I can't believe all that he has done to Jason to try and destroy him. He is just downright ruthless and heartless. Felicia Killington is just a deranged, delusional woman that needs to get her life together and asap. Landon's secret is crazy!!! I guess that's why he was okay with the marriage not going through.

Overall, it was a pretty good novel. Hope to read a third one soon because that ending left me hanging.

Um...okay so billionaire heiress leaves groom at the altar when she decides the arranged marriage she agreed to (to strengthen the family hotel business) isn't what she wants after all. She runs to her lover of a year that no one knows about because he is the families chief competition.

Meanwhile, he has his long lost brother come back into his life and talk about the good old days when they worked as gigolos conning lonely wealthy women out of money. Oh yes, and this is happening at the same time a loan shark is hounding our hero for 10 million to cover a debt he owes. Now why this guy....Jason...believes one damn word that comes out of his brothers mouth is beyond me.

Ari...that's our girl here, wants to be able to live her life without overprotective brothers guiding her through it. Her charity has fallen apart, the CFO was caught embezzling money. Now there is little left and the accountant and some other yahoo have been fired for misconduct.

Let's not forget the public outing of the romance. Ari being attacked. Oldest brother "coming to his senses" about his little sister. Jason and Leo working together to save Ari when she is eventually kidnapped.

Too much going on and none of it with true substance. For a self-made billionaire Jason is an idiot. Your brother is a con man what the hell makes you think that after 10 years he's sincere about wanting to reconnect....and why would you not have him checked out like you do every other person who enters your world? Ari...girl if you want them to treat you like an adult don't stamp your foot and throw a fit. Even if that is in the figurative sense.

I made it through the book just to see who the brother's partner was...of course, some woman they screwed over years before who has now teamed up with Deacon, the brother, to ruin Jason and while they are at it...Ari's family too. Nope, not going to bother reading anymore of the series. First two were enough...stick a fork in me, I'm done.

Loved this fast paced, drama, filled with suspense, mystery, Lots of sizzling, heat and love. Great storyline with twists and turns.

Arianna Perconti "Ari" is the overprotected sister of the Perconti Family. Ari in an impulsive move, has left her stuffy aviation tycoon fiancée a at the altar. She thinks she has done them both a favor by ending the farce. She didn't want to be in a name only marriage, not after seeing the way that her brother Leo looked at his new girlfriend Karin. She wants love to be the reason she gets married not to help her family's finances. She is also tired of everybody telling her what to do. So she runs away to Jason Stone, so he will help her hide from her family.

Jason Stone is her family's biggest rival, who she has been seeing secretly for the last year. They have been in a strictly "friends with benefits" relationship. And what an intense, passionate, sensual relationship they have together, sparks fly and sizzling heat are constant when these two are together. He is the owner of Stone Suites, and a venture Capitalist investing in technology that has given his chain an edge over the Perconti Enterprises. But to Ari he is sin in a suit, with his boyish charm that is incredibly attractive and should have been Off Limits.

But as Ari struggles to be taken seriously by her family and Jason, wanting to control her life by herself, these two start to care more for each other than either wants to admit. As a estranged family member emerges there is danger lurking everywhere. Jason has some secrets, and has made some enemies in his past. What will Ari do when these secrets are revealed? Will these two get their HEA? And with a cliffhanger ending there is definitely more for us to find out in the next installment. Loved it. Highly recommend!

Mature adult. This was a great start do a new series. It does leave off with a cliffhanger but to me it's worth reading and waiting for. Arianna runs a charity that is going is through problems and her older brother basically runs her life with her other ones putting their two bits in as well. They run a very well known hotel chain but need Ari to marry into a wealthy family to help them with money. She is tired of having her life run for her and decides to leave her finance at the alter. She has been having an affair with Jason Stone, a forbidden fruit and their fierce competitor. The affair starts to turn complicated when feelings really become involved. Jason isn't into love an relationships but Ari gets him. She feels things for him beyond the sex. They have to keep this a secret but someone finds out and is blackmailing Jason and threatening Ari giving way to a vey exciting cat and mouse game. This book is full of sex, love, money, and mystery. I couldn't put it down.

I was so excited to continue this series, For his pleasure continues on after'At his service' with Ari running away from an arranged marriage to help her families business, straight into the arms of her brothers enemy Jason Stone.

Jason I was super intrigued by and wanted to learn more about him. In our previous encounters with Jason he has always come across as a ruthless business man. I wanted to peel back the layers and find out what was underneath!
Ari does a spectacular job at shaking this play boy to the core... And when danger threatens Jason and Ari, he must do all he can to protect her, himself and the business he as worked so hard to build.. Even if that means turning to his business Rival Leo for help!

I loved this book it made for a great reading edition to the playboys of Boston. Ari was a strong vibrant character who just needed to spread her wings and Jason was a man in need of somebody to fight for, his history was shocking but made for an explosive storyline... I can't wait to meet these characters once again.

The Perconti Family and Jason Stone are sworn enemies. These hotel magnates are constantly fighting for supremacy. Unknown to her family Arianna Perconti is involved with Jason in a torrid affair. To help her family's finances Ari is being forced into a marriage that she doesn't want. Why won't they let her live her own life? She runs away from her wedding and asks Jason to hide her. What happens next kept me reading late into the night. I enjoyed the battle of wills and the passionate, sensual relationship between Ari and Jason. When they're together, the sparks fly. Jason is such a dominant man. However, he's not who he appears to be. He has dark secrets that must be kept hidden or they will destroy him. Now he has a dangerous enemy who is determined to get revenge on him as well as Ari and her family if they get in the way. This story is a page turner. It has a sensual romance, a strong willed heroine and a dark, brooding hero. For His Pleasure is a roller coaster ride. Just be aware that the novel ends with not everything resolved. Suzanne Rock kept me on the edge of my seat.

This book has been hard for me to think on to review. On one hand I really did enjoy it and I enjoyed it enough to want to read the book that came before this one (and this book read very well even though it's the second in the series) as well as the ones that will follow it.
On the other hand, these characters sometimes really got on my nerves. I think there was a lot of overreacting to things. Whether it being mad at something or happy or sad, it was all done very dramatically. I kept thinking the bad guy was going to start twirling a mustache like a cartoon character to be honest.
But, apparently it didn't detract from me enjoying it. Because I did. And I definitely want to read more by this author.

I enjoyed this one. Arianna Perconti "Ari" is the overprotected younger sister of the Perconti family. She agrees to a marriage of convenience to help her family business but she just can't go through with it. When she runs from the wedding there is only one place she wants to be and that is with Jason Stone. The Perconti family biggest rival and Ari's secret fling for the last year. Jason is wild, dangerous, and the only one who gets Ari's heart racing unfortunately he'll never be anything more. The sex might be mind blowing but Jason isn't the one woman type or is he.....

There isn't anything too deep about the story but it's entertaining, sexy, and the perfect relaxing read. I recommend it.

Ari has walked away from her wedding to Landon and gone to Jason Stone. The two have been having a friends with benefits relationship for over a year. But when she starts to have more feelings for him, she is afraid where it will lead. Jason has no desire for anything more, or does he? When trouble starts to brew, will he give up his relationship with Ari? Or does he put her first and risk losing everything else?

I totally loved the first book and this one doesn't disappoint. The interaction between Ari & Jason is HOT! I love the climax and twists that this book takes. There are times I want to smack both Ari & Jason!! But to see the growth from them both & the bond that forms with her family...it's a great story! Don't miss out, grab it today!

This is a mixed review.

First I have to say "YES" I will be reading the next book in this series. You can't leave a girl hanging and not expect curiosity to win. Now the only problem is I find Ari to be a bit annoying as a character. She seems immature for someone of her age. Jason has his pro's and con's but I won't get into that since you will be experiencing it for yourself.

I will say that these two were humping like bunnies. LOTS and LOTS of sex. But to have a relationship based on just that leaves me wanting more. I do have to admit even though there were things about Jason that were off putting I do love an alpha male. How warped am I?

The storyline was one that has appeal and lets face it, this is not over since I will say this ends with a cliffhanger.

A fast moving story with all the details that you may have hungered for in the first book if you read Leo's story in 'At His Service'. Will not disappoint with the characters or the plot, although at first I did enter the story with the preconceived notion that Ari was a bit of a wimp - but I am pleased to say she finds her back bone by the end of the story.
Jason is the bad boy of the 1st installment of this series and his struggle to show and understand his feelings towards Ari is heartwarming.
Highly recommended to all fans of romance, especially if you like a bit of adventure thrown in and like me, feel cheated if you don't get your HEA... this one is for you.

Jason and Ari have been sneaking behind everyones back for a little fun. Until Ari agrees an an arranged marriage. However when the time comes for the wedding, she can't do it. She wants to be married for love and runs right to Jason for help. She knows they only have a friends with benefits thing but she needs him.

Jason has had quite the past. Now almost losing Ari to marriage to another guy, well things are changing for the man who doesn't do commitments. When the bad guys start to come after him and it's affecting Ari, something has to be done.

It is a good book and it was fun to see Ari put Leo in his place and tame Jason. I enjoyed reading this book.

I really wanted to like this book, but I was disappointed through most of the book. Once Jason's brother showed it, I knew I already knew the ending. I still don't understand how someone can trust someone they haven't seen in 10 years and know he lives for lying. My mind was blown that they couldn't figure it out. The first sex scene between Ari and Jason was good, but after that I just couldn't believe them and started skipping them because they became a little repetitive. I will say though that I loved how they decided to unify at the end which might have me wanting to read the next book in the series. I just can't seem to give up on this series yet.
