Guinness World Records™, known until 2000 as The Guinness Book of Records, is a reference book published annually, containing a collection of world records, both human achievements and the extremes of the natural world. The book itself holds a world record, as the best-selling copyrighted book series of all time. It is also one of the most frequently stolen books from public libraries in the United States
I've been thumbing through this one for several months now. Apparently, if you do absolutely anything more times than anyone else, you can get your picture and your "ability/genius" into this book. Does self-pleasure count? Did I just give something away I shouldn't have? Let me say I like honesty in people and their book reviews.
It's been a few years since I read one of these, but I don't remember the format being so... busy. Truly something for everyone's interests. I'm only vaguely aware of what Minecraft is, but that gets two whole pages.
Again, the surprising book everyone wanted to come out. More surprising records are waiting for anyone who are planning on reading this. I would recommend this book to anyone who like surprising books.
I really enjoy fact books, but i feel like all of the Guinness books are to similar. I got the Guinness book in 2012, and this one, and even four years apart they feel so familiar. After reading it a few times, i saw it as a less organized version compared to the '12 one. I still liked many of the facts, but some of the pages I felt were unnecessary. One big example in the Minecraft page. It felt as if they were trying to lure in those Minecraft gamers (around 12 years old) but they have a whole edition for video games. This was one of the most advertised pages in the book, even saying to on the back cover. This just feels like an invasion of the non-gamer edition. I am a gamer myself, but I am much more interested in people using there real-life talents to achieve records than memory or skill in video games. I don't see much of a difference between editions, so I would recommend getting a fairly recent one that you can get for fairly cheap.

I like this book a lot because it shows a lot of cool things that you may not know are possible, so this book really is surprising because lots of the stuff in it is super imppresive.
