Baki se va a enfrentar al Doctor Kureha pero antes tenemos la gran pelea de Doppo contra el Ogro Yujiro Hanma.
El manga tiene varias paginas a color y el tamaño de esta edición nos hace apreciar el gran dibujo del autor Keisuke Itagaki.

Quand on pense avoir tout vu dans cette histoire, sachez que c’est faux. Entièrement faux. La suite vous prouvera le contraire. Je me suis prise une énorme claque avec ce quatrième tome. Bon dieu mais c’était fou, c’était dingue! J’ai pas les mots pour le décrire. J’avais hâte de le lire mais j’étais tellement loin d’imaginer ce qu’il m’attendait. Je n’ai pas la suite sous la main malheureusement mais il va falloir que je me la procure et vite parce que je ne peux pas rester dans l’ignorance très longtemps. J’ai besoin de la suite et vite!
Dans ce quatrième tome, on retrouve Doppo qui va affronter Yûjirô. C’est un véritable combat de vétérans. C’est une vieille histoire entre ces deux là. Dix ans auparavant, Yûjirô a infligé une foudroyante et terrible défaite. Doppo, grand maître du karaté Shinshinkai est au sommet de son art mais est ce que cela suffira.. Parce qu’après tout, le père de Baki n’a cessé de progresser depuis leur dernière rencontre et il est plus violent et cruel que jamais. Ce n’est pas pour rien qu’on l’appelle l’Ogre…
Quasiment tout le tome est consacré à ce véritable combat de titans. Et putain quel combat! Le meilleur du manga pour le moment. Et de loin même! Il nous permet de mieux découvrir Doppo lorsqu’il combat. Mais aussi voir à quel point de père de Baki est fort et puissant. Je suis restée clouée face à ce combat tellement j’étais à fond dedans. Ils ont tous les deux des techniques tout simplement dingues. Le père de Baki se fait surnommé l’Ogre et on découvre pourquoi. On peut le dire, il n’a pas démérité son surnom pour le coup. Ses techniques m’ont laissé bouche bée, il ne cesse de s’améliorer. Comme Baki le souligne, il devient plus fort chaque jour qui passe. Entre deux, on découvre aussi qui sera l’adversaire de Baki, et bien je n’aimerais pas être à sa place… son adversaire a l’air d’être un fou dangereux! Par contre, j’ai vraiment très très hâte de découvrir son combat!
Plus je lis ce manga et plus je l’aime. J’avais beaucoup aimé le premier tome mais là je suis complètement fan du titre. On a des combats qui nous en mettent plein la vue, les combattants ont des techniques remarquables pour mieux terrasser leurs adversaires. La fin de ce tome ci m’a vraiment surprise, je ne voulais pas y croire mais on assiste à un sacré chamboulement. Maintenant je n’ai qu’une hâte; me procurer la suite et pouvoir me plonger dans le combat entre Baki et le docteur complètement dingue!

Volume 4 has been the first truly great part of Baki. The opening pages with Yujiro attacking Doppo while he's celebrating was amazing, the hype and build up to their rematch was great, the actual fight itself was far and away the best so far in the series, and the aftermath of the fight was emotional.
Seeing Baki scared and nervous was cool, and the introduction of Kureha was fun. I know the next volume won't be as good but I am still happy to keep reading.

Qué droga tan divertida que son estos animalitos de Baki.
Todo en esta edición, desde los diálogos hasta las páginas a color, son un viaje en el tiempo a épocas anteriores a que se publicara manga acá, pero con un olor a nostalgia que se siente igualmente.

It’s funny how multiple of these covers have characters on them that haven’t been introduced yet, lol. Yujiro for volume 2, Retsu for this volume, probably more going forward haha.
Anyway, really great volume. The Orochi vs. Yujiro fight is amazing, and I loved Baki’s hype moment at the end lol. Can’t wait to see how his fight with Kureha goes.
