Just a few decades ago the concept of parallel universes was so strange, only scientists versed in the most advanced concepts and mathematics of quantum mechanics were willing to entertain the idea that it might actually be possible that our reality is not the only reality. But now let’s fast forward to today. It’s safe to say the majority of the public, in fact just about everybody, is at least familiar with the concept of parallel universes, and we can thank science fiction for that. In the past two decades there have been dozens of movies and TV shows which have leveraged the idea of slipping into alternate worlds for exciting dramatic entertainment. The possibility that parallel worlds might really exist is at once frightening and unnerving, but also exciting and appealing, generating a positive sense of wonder - even a sense of hope. It also helps that the public understands that the majority of physicists now accept parallel universe theory as solid science. We no longer need to merely ‘believe’. Parallel universes really exist. And if parallel universes exist, the implications for all of us are astounding. Furthermore, the reality of parallel universes can help us explain, or at least understand, some of the most confounding aspects of paranormal phenomenon experienced by millions of everyday people. These * Bigfoot sightings, and other bizarre cryptic creatures * UFO phenomenon * Contact and communication with the dead * Inexplicable experiences of missing time and sudden dislocations * Lucid dreaming and out-of-body travel * Dowsing * Exotic earth locations and geographic ‘power centres’ where strange things happen. ... and more. Most readers are fairly familiar with some or all of the above, but what is amazing is how different these subjects appear when looked at through the lens of parallel universe theory. For example, perhaps we can finally explain why so many people have sighted Bigfoot and yet hard physical evidence of the creature - a body, a bone, a fossil or even a DNA sample - has proved impossibly difficult to obtain. By ‘extending the line’ of parallel universe theory across all aspects of life, we gain an amazing new perspective on just about everything that affects us in our everyday lives. My goal in writing these chapters was not only to bring you amazing stories that have been in the news or explored by high-profile authors, but to also give you a deep understanding about how your life can change for the better by embracing the implication of parallel universe theory. Yes, the world you live in is far, far more magical than you ever expected. Science and mysticism are coming together in a powerful way to help you not only understand the magic, but to start exploring it for yourself. In that sense, perhaps this book in and of itself will be like taking that first step through the doorway of a bona fide parallel world. Contents * Parallel Worlds – The Best Explanation for Bigfoot? * Wendigo – A Projection from another Dimension? * Contacting the Afterlife – The Soul Phone & ITC * The Blink World, the Alien Family & the OBE * The Art of Dowsing * The Writing Dead * Missing Time & the UFO Connection * Parsnips or Portals to Parallel Worlds?
I read the first book quickly and enjoyed it, but having just finished Part 2, see that now more in the light of a necessary preface to the current volume.
This one skilfully and intuitively pulls disparate strands into a satisfying whole, and had me shortlisting and downloading other books that are mentioned in the text; a process that in itself is pleasingly analogous to Worlds opening out onto Other Worlds.

This was a thrilling book! All the examples of alternate realities! I loved the monumental stones of ancient times! The portals described always with a secretive entry. Our native Shamans have honored these sacred stones! The various vortexes! Healing, positive and negative energies. So much more! Thank you !
Bullivant's other book Beyond Time Travel: Exploring our Parallel Worlds was better. But reading this book made me realize that while believing in parallel worlds sounds out there, I'd be hard-pressed to describe the after life any differently, so perhaps I've always believed in them.
Really interesting and thought provoking book. It confirmed a lot of what I already suspected. Written in a down to earth way that is easy to understand
