Mike Kingston, an attorney at an elite Washington, D.C., law firm, wakes up from a violent nightmare to find his hands wrapped around his wife's throat, almost killing her. A few nights later, on the same day that he settles an important case and is elected to the partnership, Mike awakes to find his wife suffocated in their own bed.
Mike becomes the focus of a highly publicized murder investigation with compelling evidence of his guilt. While preparing his defense, Mike comes to the awful realization that he might, in fact, have killed his wife.

First, I love suspense. It's my favorite genre, which most people know about me. Second, I love a good who-done-it, and this was fantastic!
Mike and Helen are college sweethearts, building their life and family. Mike works long hours at his law firm, trying to make partner. The stress he's under causes horrific nightmares. Nightmares that have physical repercussions. He wakes one night to find his hands around his wife's throat. A few nights later, Helen is dead and Mike doesn't know if he killed his wife.
This book is fast-paced and flows well. I was trying to guess who it was the whole time. Treg does a good job bringing out emotions in the characters, and you can almost feel what they feel.
The ending was definitely a surprise, and I love the way it ended. This was a great debut novel, and I look forward to seeing what he comes out with next!
Until Murder Do Us Part is a fantastic legal thriller. Treg makes the characters come alive, shows us the beauty of Plain City, UT, and thrills us with roller-coaster plot twists and turns. Really enjoyed the musical references throughout the book. The quotes from Hamlet sent me back to Mrs. Blanch's AP English Class senior year.
I had a difficult time putting the book down, insomnia was a welcome companion this week; there was never a "slow" chapter. Treg is a great writer and I look forward to his next novel.
It's so fun to recommend a book written by a great new writer (and one of my high school friends)! Sherri
