The power inside her was never meant to awaken. Now it’s calling her toward a truth no one dares speak.
Ellie thought defeating Jerath at the Temple of Ascendance would bring peace. Instead, it fractured everything. The seal between worlds is damaged, ancient symbols are reappearing, and a rhythm of power pulses through the land—one Ellie alone seems able to hear.
Back in Busal City, nothing is as it was. Fabricators are disappearing. Factions stir beneath the surface. And a strange scholar with too many questions has arrived. Worse, Ellie’s brother has returned, leaving only a cryptic message and a trail of secrets that could reshape the balance of power.
With the Servants of Ascendance gathering strength and the Sovereign’s return looming, Ellie must decide where she at the king’s side, among the Arbiters, or somewhere entirely new.
But her magic is evolving—and what’s waking inside her may be tied to forces older than fae, older than myth… and far harder to control.
The first two books were very good but this third book is different. It became predictabl. The story line was slow and repetitious. Almost as if the story is complete but now words are repeated just to increase th number of books. I have read many of the books from this author and this is the first that I have been disappointed.
Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyon
