Everblack: The Warlord, Volume I

The fog of war is thick, and all are made blind by it.

Sundered are the relations between the once glorious legions of Runador and the blessed R’zir knights who replaced them. Amidst that strife, Dagon, a veteran living in solitude, has visions of a mysterious and terrible warlord who will carve a bloody path to domination and reduce the world to a hellscape for humanity. As atonement for his crimes, he has resolved to find this warlord and stop the visions from ever becoming fulfilled. But, in a land of war and strife, rife with warlords and villains, how will Dagon determine who is the mysterious warlord from his visions? For now, it appears that the warlord Hassanaan, who has established his death camps and sent his raiders upon the towns and villages, is the target he seeks.

On the other side of the map, Elial, a retired High Knight of the kingdom of Rudaine finds his land and castle beset upon by marauders of the warlord Hassanaan. Becoming separated from his sons and made to live a life in hiding, Elial is forced to refocus his sights on a new path. A warpath. With loss and tragedy abounding, Elial is inspired to wage a war against the villain Hassanaan, and to lead a long and bloody seven-month campaign to retake the lands that were lost to him.

In the end, neither will find the answers they seek, and will discover only more questions in the bloody ruins of their conquest.
