Kyra was almost 20 when she read her first romance. From Norsemen to Regency and Romcom to Dubcon, tales of love and adventure filled a void in her she didn’t know existed.
She’s always been a writer, but its only recently that she’s started to tell stories in the genres she loves most – which at the moment are very ‘why choose’!!
Kyra's sixth full-length, standalone reverse harem (RH), fantasy romance in the Dark Brothers series, Seized to Sacrifice, will be coming out in Feb 2022.
Follow her on Instagram, Goodreads, Twitter or Facebook for all the up-to-date info on release dates, exclusive content and other general awesomeness from the Dark Brothers' world - where the road to happily ever after might be rough, but its well worth the journey!!

Kyra, what do you do to me?? I love you,but the things you make me feel…… I know the Dark Realms is a horrible place to be. And i know that slaves have an awful life there. But what Bryn goes through is even worse! So,when Ogdan, her owner at The Barrack gave her to Locke,Morgan and Jak,i started to have a little hope. That these fae,who were undercover trying to roll up a slavetrading business, were somehow going to help her. That, once they got to know her better, they’d care enough to get her to the Light Realms. Even if Locke kept up appearances with Bere, the slave trader they were travelling with, that she was to be sold to the fighting pits. Because they díd save her from that asshole Warrior, who knows what she is,when he was going to allow her to be harmed beyond belief. But that cliffhanger crashed my hope…..and i don’t know how to fix my broken heart! Please, please tell me everything will be alright……before i lose my mind??? Please, please give me Courted by the Fae!!!
Hot Fae, Dark Realms, and Emotional Damage Sign Me Up!
I will literally consume anything Kyra Alessy writes. Like serve it to me on a flaming platter with a side of emotional trauma, and I’ll ask for seconds.
Now, Given to the Fae is technically book three, but if you’re brave (or unhinged like me), you can dive in solo. Just be prepared to feel like you're playing emotional roulette while blindfolded.
We’ve got Bryn, a human in the worst possible situation trapped in the Dark Realms, aka the worst Airbnb experience of all time. She’s treated like livestock, but surprise! Anyone who hurts her gets wrecked in return. Karma? Fate? Plot armor? Who knows. But I loved it.
Then come the undercover fae trio: Jax, Morgan, and Locke (aka Mr. Broody McTrustIssues). Jax and Morgan? Love them. Would give them snacks. Locke? Sir, therapy is that way.
There’s sizzling tension, actual sizzling (because the spice is HOT), epic worldbuilding, and creatures you absolutely wouldn’t pet unless you’ve given up on survival. The spicy scenes? Chef’s kiss. Tastefully steamy without derailing the plot, though my Kindle may have started sweating.
And that ending? Ma’am. Kyra. WHY. That cliffhanger yeeted my soul into the void. I need answers, closure, possibly a support group, and definitely the next book like... yesterday.
Overall if you want morally grey fae, a badass cursed human, angst, betrayal, hot scenes, emotional warfare, and a fantasy world so vivid you’ll start side-eyeing trees, read this immediately. But maybe bring a blanket. And wine.
THAT CLIFFHANGER / PLOT TWIST / IM SORRY WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!!! So I had a harder time getting behind Bryn as the MFC than I did with Thalia (DR #1&2). I just kept wanting her to do more, be more and I kept seeing her kinda get there but the kings at the deeper storylines didn’t start to come until near the end. Essentially spent much of the book just jumping realms and setting up what I now can’t wait for in the next book. Despite all that, I again found Kyra’s writing sucking me in and loosing sleep because I just get so absorbed in her story lines. I LOVED Kyra’s Dark Realms world in the first two books and was excited to jump back in the creativity and dynamics way of travel is both creative & interesting while creating a backdrop for some very spicy spicy spicy scenes. So while I didn’t love Bryn and her guys as much as Thalia in books 1&2, Kyra has set us up for what I’m hopeful will be a mind blowing conclusion in book 4 after all of the story weaving and foreshadowing in the last few chapters.
This is the third book in the Dark Realms series. Bryn is a human slave is Fate Touched. She gets sold and is being taken to the first circle to be sold again. On the way, 3 men take her away from the others and learn she is not exactly who they think she is. She doesn’t remember her life before becoming a slave. She has no idea where she comes from and why she has this problem. This is a reverse harem (somewhat reluctantly on the men’s side). It has fae, goblins, witches, demons, etc… and humans are treated as slaves in the Dark Realm. It is definitely romantasy. I am not a huge reverse harem lover, but the plot in this story helps me to keep reading. I want to know who she is and what will happen to her. It ends with a cliffhanger. Good series and great book!
I devoured Bryn's story!! Once I began reading, I didn't want to stop! I was on the edge of my seat for most of it. This book had mystery, secrets, danger, and even some betrayal. There were emotional moments, some tension, and spice too. I loved Bryn. She is kind and smart. My heart goes it her though. There is still so much mystery surrounding who she really is. Locke, Jake, and Morgan. I liked each of them.
I think Kyra does an excellent job with the beginning of Bryn's story. I few things are revealed, but we are left with questions and wanting more!! I loved it!
A gripping read set in the Dark Realms as Bryn suffers horribly as a slave. Fate touched, bad things happen to people who hurt her. Her relationship with Locke. Jak and Morgan was so complicated and still has a long way to go. The world building was epic and thrilling. Loved the ending and I'm looking forward to the next book.
This was a really fantastic gripping read but the Dark Realms is somewhere I would NEVER want to be.
How our FMC Bryn survived for so long in the gritty worlds is beyond me even with her being ‘different’. She is a character you have to admire as her strength, determination and kindness shine through. The three hot fae Alpha-holes she meets - Locke, Jaks and Morgan treat her better than her other masters ever have but they have a long way to go to earn her trust after the events of this book.
I liked the relationship dynamics between the four of them as the boys tried to ignore and fight their growing feelings for her all the way but it seems it’s not working out too good for them lol. The book ended with a great scene which keeps you intrigued and wanting much, much more.
Another brilliant read from Kyra and definitely worthy of five stars. I’m looking forward to the next book without a doubt 😊
Another stunning book set in the gritty world of the Dark Realms where humans are pitiful slaves to the arrogant fae. Bryn is fate touched which is both a curse and a blessing, anyone who harms her has a worse harm visited upon them. Her cruel masters at the slave barracks treat her cruelty being unable to sell her without harm happening to the seller. Her life is truly miserable until she meets three cafe undercover from the Light Realm. Jax and Morgan are decent guys on a secret mission, we have yet to find out the set. Hopefully all will be revealed in the next book, I have so many questions after reading this. The leader of the trio, Locke is way to ruthless for my liking, reneging on a deal with Brn to take her to the Light Realm with him, despite the other two wanting to bring her with them. I’d love to know who the mysterious fae she meets at the end is after Locke betrays her, can’t wait for the next book. Such a great story, love the Dark Realm stories.
I'm obcessed with The dark realms series! Kyra Alessy has a writting style that's addictive and it shows plenty in this new installment of the series. The 1st of a duet and it's about Bryn,a human in the Dark realms where humans are less than nothing, only worth for slaves or breeding. But Bryn has a secret and when she's sold to Bell and his group of slavers, three of them form some kind of connection with her... Very well written with a incredibly rich imaginative and often complex plot, a good world building and characters that steal your heart . There's a lot of triggers but,in my opinion so well weaved into the plot that only adds intensity and depht to the story. Ends in a cliffhanger that left me in a chokehold and already ansiously waiting for the next one!
This was a delectable book. It took me a while to get back into it because I forgot where I last left off. Once I remembered what happened in the last book, it was like I had picked up where I had left off. Lets talk about that cliffy.
I absolutely love this series! Her FMC’s always have a strong character, and evolve into great badasses… but the cliff hanger!!! Augh!!! I can’t wait for the next book.
Wow I have never been this dying to read on from a fantasy book! Started and finished in one day I couldn’t put it down! I have so many questions & can’t wait to read on :))
Okay, wait. Let me back up. Our girl, Bryn, is fate touched in a world that is horribly cruel to humans. Treat them like livestock cruel. Make the females sit on the floor and eat out of their masters hand cruel. You get what I mean. It's awful for them. However, if someone tries to hurt Bryn, they are immediately punished. Except for the three fae she meets when she finally leaves the only place she remembers. Jak, Morgan, and Locke are undercover as skin traders to find out where the women who are being kidnapped are taken. Jak and Morgan are good people and are on board with saving Bryn, especially once they start realizing she's more than she's let on Locke on the other hand... not so much. I'm sure there is going to be some redemption theme in the next book for but right now? Nah, he can figure it out on his own. All that said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I find myself thinking about certain parts randomly, and it's not even the spicy scenes. Okay, well, not always the spicy scenes. ;-)
This is a true dark why choose fantasy romance in the Dark Realms series. The mystery elements of this story on top of the multi POVs created a truly immersive reading experience. I really enjoyed learning more about the FMCs and MMCs and because of that huge cliffhanger at the end of the book, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one! Please check trigger warnings before reading as this book dives into a lot of dark elements.
***I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review- thank you to the author and team!***
This is The Dark Realms Book 3. Bryn is a Fate-Touched girl. No one dares to look at her or harm her as fate will punish them if they do. She is sold as a slave. She meets three fae men, Locke, Morgan and Jak, who seem to be immune. They want to save her though, not enslave her. Things heat up with Bryn and the three men. I really liked the ‘fate-touched’ aspect of Bryn. Everyone was afraid of her and didn’t look at her. Those that did, too bad. You lose.
Oh my lord, what a book. Now it's number three in a series but you can read this as a stand alone if necessary but it will make so much more sense if the read the previous books. This one is an absolute belter, so good I just couldn't put it down. It's set in the dark realms, a nasty place to be especially as a human. They are used as servants and treated no better than beasts to be bred and then abused. Bryn is different though as anyone that hurts her somehow then ends up being hurt too. The book is so well written as ever by this astounding author I just had to keep on reading to see what would happen. The fantasy world in these books is so well described you can visualise it easily and the creatures that inhabit it. Yes, there is some incredible sex scenes that are so well written that will get you hot under the collar. They are not the focus of the book but they certainly do enhance it. The book is just constant action, no great reams of pages full of unneeded descriptive text just great story telling. I can't recommend it enough. Hot and steamy, action and betrayal, love and torture, it's all here. Read it and like me now need the next book desperately.
Betrayal… prepare yourself to feel betrayed right along with many of our characters. Every time things start to balance out, BAM! And, then, when you can’t flip the pages fast enough to find out what happens next, you realize there are no more pages and you’re about to tumble over the cliff. I can’t wait to see how Bryn rallies in the next book and what her men rise above and win her heart. GTTF has a decent amount of spice but up it doesn’t overrun the actual story, which is well developed and worth investing the time to read.
This is the third book in The Dark Realms series. This series has a total of four books once completed. I have read 2 other books in The Den of Deception series before reading this book. I loved those books and especially the FMC. I enjoyed reading this story so much. The FMC really pulls you in. I felt her pain and heartbreak. I cried alongside her and worried for her mental health. The story was tragic and yet hopeful. Thank you, Kyra Alessy. This is yet another series that I need to read! I love the books that I have read so far. I cannot wait to explore your other series as well!
7-17-25 Fiven to the Fae by Kyra Alessy Kyra writes another amazing tale full of danger, a fate-touced MFC, three undercover Fae, betrayal, hope, plot twists and more that takes place in the Dark Realms. Fast paced and one can definitley get lost in this one. Great characters and locations to feed your imagination. Fan your face steam- whew. But be aware- there is a doozy of a cliff hanger. Read those trigger warnings.
This is incredible! She is like a walking "dont mess with me or else warning" and they are undercover trying to take down the ring. I loved this book ans impatiently awaiting book 2 in the duet!
I received an advanced copy of the book and am voluntarily leaving a review
I cannot wait for the next book. This has left me hanging and I want so much more. I love it. It has captivated and brought me in from the beginning. I am left so speechless and have no words to express how good this is.
