Deja vu is a feeling you can’t forget. Or fight. But when the universe comes trying to collect, the urge is strong.
Cooper Keaton
Leaving my job was an easy choice. Being home for good? That’s a different story.
I’ve never felt like I fit in anywhere. At home I’m the nerdy brother, at work I’m constantly searching for somewhere that feels right, and now that I’m floundering through my time in Balsam Cliffs, I’ve never felt further from home.
Until I meet her.
Aubrey Peterson
Running from everything in my life has me looking over my shoulder at every little sound.
Keeping my daughter safe is my number one priority. I’m not focused on anything else.
Then Cooper Keaton walks into my life. And nothing is the same again, or maybe it’s finally right. My heart finally feels at peace with him next to me. But how can that be when we barely know each other? When I still have debts to pay? Secrets to keep?
Will that feeling of home be enough for us to fight through everything happening?
Perfect for You by J. Hutchison absolutely wrecked me in the best way 😭💖
This book had EVERYTHING—heart-melting romance, emotional depth, and that kind of connection that feels so real it almost hurts. The chemistry? Off the charts. The tension? Perfectly drawn out. And the way their story unfolds had me completely invested from the first page to the last.
I fell so hard for these characters—their flaws, their growth, the way they loved each other despite everything standing in their way. It felt raw, messy, and beautifully authentic. And don’t even get me started on the small moments… the quiet ones that somehow hit the hardest 🥹
This is one of those stories that lingers long after you finish. The kind you think about randomly throughout your day. The kind that makes you feel everything.
If you love emotional, swoony romance with depth and just the right amount of angst… this one is perfect for you 🤍

Early on in this series, I had a feeling that I would love Cooper’s story. He’s been the wanderer in his family. Now he’s home and stepping out on his own with his photography. Being in a large family, one can easily be hidden but Cooper has always stood out to me.
Aubrey and her young daughter have not had it easy and Balsam Cliffs provides a safe place to land. I loved the Keaton family and how they just adopted Aubrey and Lily right away. Cooper and Aubrey had an immediate connection but things are happening that are threatening both of them. The suspense kept me guessing and I did not see that coming in the end.
This was such a beautiful story of second chances and how family can always be found when you really need it.
Thank you to the author for allowing me the opportunity to read another one of your books early !!
I’m a major mood reader - but the second one of J’s books gets in my head I can’t put it down until it’s over.
I have now had the opportunity to read the first four books in this series (will be patiently waiting for the next one!!) & I can confirm they are all SO GOOD!
The suspense was suspense-ing in this one! I was reading while home alone & I kept looking over my shoulder 🤣🤣 that’s how you know it’s a good one.
Cooper, Aubrey and Lily stole my heart ❤️ I loved them all so much. As well as the entire Keaton family.
If you love a good small town, found family, single parent, romantic suspense here it is.
Another amazing story in a wonderful series. This book had it all ……great MCs, an adorable kid, found family, danger, romance, spice and mystery. Add in an amazing twist that somehow I did not see coming and this book gets all the stars. And as an added bonus the set up for the next book has me so excited.
This book kept me on my toes the entire time! My heart was locked in and rooting for Aubrey and Cooper the entire time. My anxiety was sky high, but in a good way, hoping that Aubrey and Lily were going to stay safe. The ending had me gasping!! I was absolutely not expecting that twist.
Protective mom relocates to start over, finds a new family and her future husband. But not without the past coming back after them both. Plot twists will keep you wanting more and thinking you have it all figured out. Mixture of romance, fear, and finding trust again. Absolute must read!!
