I have worked the violent streets of LA for over 3 decades and was thrust into situations requiring immediate action in the face of danger to prevent lives from being lost.  While violence is a reality in our society, especially while policing, my ability to stay safe and return home to my family has been dependent on the ability to walk that Thin Blue Line without allowing death’s shadow to cross over it.  9 Lives will take you through an account of several encounters, where I have narrowly avoided paying the ultimate sacrifice.  As the reader, you will have the ability to live each of these lives as my partner and will have access to the actual 9-1-1 calls, police radio transmission, and body-worn video associated with the expenditure of each life.  While balancing my roles as a supervisor and also that of a Chaplain, this book takes you to the front lines of policing.  From close calls to the End of Watch- this is my story.

You will want to become a police officer with the LAPD. Do you have what it takes?

The incidents the author encountered are captivating . The QR Codes are depicting the reality of police work. I recommend this book to aspiring police officers and new recruits (read it again once you graduate from the academy). Also for existing police officers with time on the job.
