As a famous adult entertainer, Rory knows getting familiar with a fan is rarely a good idea. When she finds herself making exceptions for a polite and handsome minotaur, she realizes familiarity might be her best idea yet. Countless texts and video calls with Bryce lead to an in person meet-up, but on the night Bryce’s roommate is supposed to be out of the house, his plans go awry. The privacy Bryce had promised is no longer possible, but if Rory doesn't know, their plans don’t have to change... right?
Fan Service is an F/M/M erotic romance novella written for the 2025 multi-author K!nktober Series. It is also part of Robin's Monster Mixer Universe, but can be read as a standalone.
Robin, queer and disabled author from Italy, writes different books under different pen names. Xe uses Robin Jo Margaret for paranormal and monster romance and erotica, and R.J. Margaret for the human stories (both spicy and non).
Xyr motivation comes from the readers who always reach out to share that they felt seen by xyr stories—and from a worrying amount of chocolate and tea.

This is not a typical genre for me - but the blurb was interesting and I wanted to give it a try. This is an ARC, book releases end of October. Novella. Monster romance - two Minotaurs and a human woman. All kinds of spicy times. A lot of representation and some conversations about mental health and such, but I do think this book is more about the spice than the plot. Which is what I was kind of expecting going in.
Overall it’s good. I was happy it was in a novella because I think it would get a little repetitive. It was a nice palate cleanser in between my fantasy books to refresh a bit.
I'm not one to usually gravitate towards this genre of book but I'm happy I picked this one up! The representation in this novella was good! I loved all our characters so dearly. There's great communication in this which after reading one too many bad miscommunication trope lately I TRULY appreciated.
Like all novella's I always wish we could have gone a bit more in dept with character arc's BUT I know this is not the end for these characters so I'm excited to see what more Robin has in store for this universe!
Book comes out at the end of October so be sure to add this to your radar!
Thank you so much for the ARC and for letting me review your book! *all opinions are my own!
This was a freebie from “Stuff Your Kindle Day” and surprisingly fun - I haven't had a lot of luck in the past! It's a short novella about a cam girl and her clients, who are both minotaurs - one who is trans, and one who is cis and aromantic. I liked that different sexualities were included and not just glossed over. The sexy scenes were hot and they made a cute (sort of) throuple at the end. The author says they're writing more about these characters and I would be interested to read it.
Fan Service is a short, sweet, spicy novella following roommates and their favorite cam girl. There's fantastic queer representation and a healthy relationship portrayal with healthy, open communication (so hot, am I right?!). I had a great time reading this one and I do recommend it if you're in your Minotaur era.
I enjoyed reading the ARC of this novella. The dynamic between Bryce, Rory, and Ezra is wholesome and sometimes comedic.
Things I enjoyed: I enjoyed how the relationship between Rory and Bryce isn’t solely sexual and was kind of sweet. They actually care for each other.
I also enjoyed how well chronic pain and the different sexualities are described. As someone who identifies as bisexual and experiences chronic pain, the explanations in the novella are pretty accurate.
Things I think could improve: When Rory decides to tell Bryce and Ezra about her decision to become a porn star, I would’ve loved to hear her explanation to them compared to her quick explanation to Dahlia. I felt that the moment in the novella was perfect for that kind of heart-to-heart. What kind of questions would the men had regarding it?
Things I hope to see in future stories: Does Rory do the dating app project? Do Rory’s fan accept the relationship between Rory, Bryce and Ezra? What does Rory’s future as a porn star look like now she’s in a relationship? Will Ezra or Bruce be co-stars in Rory’s future videos?
Anyways, I love the start of this novella and can’t wait to see where things go in this universe.

One thing I really love about this author is how inclusive their writing is. This story was so cute and I love how relatable the characters are, even with 2 of then being non-human. It was sweet, spicy, and really promoted open communication.
It is so hot. But also so tender it hurts and tickles. Mixed emotions all around. Love the relationship dynamics. It also discusses some important matters and affirmative actions and thoughts. I recommend this to all of the monster lovers, the smut lovers, and the tender beings.
-Bisexual trio -FMM -Plus size mcs -Minotaurs x Human -Erotic -Anxiety and chronic pain rep -Aroallo MMC -Trans MMC -Adult entertainer FMC
Thank you to the author for this ARC of such an exceptionally sweet and spicy novella!
It’s wondrously inclusive with a plus-sized sex worker FMC, a trans MMC with chronic pain, and an aromantic MMC whose identity is so carefully explored within the text. The storyline is a tad fantastical, but it’s grounded in careful consent and deliberate boundaries which is so wholesome to see in an explicitly spicy story of this set up. However, the characters are where the story really shines.
It’s a novella which by the nature of it has a limited page count but every one of those pages are used to their full potential. We get the backstory for Bryce and Rory, an overview of a type of aromanticism and how that could fit into a relationship, and several well-written gloriously sweet and varied spicy scenes. Honestly, full kudos to the author, this was fantastic.
Fan Service is Robin Jo Margaret’s contribution to the K!nktober collection. All of the books in this collection can be read as standalones. Although Fan Service takes place in Robin’s Monster Mixer universe, you don’t have to have read that one to enjoy this new release. Here’s what you can expect from Rory, Bryce, and Ezra:

Robin Jo Margaret’s Monster Mixer Vol. 1 was such a fun read, and I was excited when I saw xyr new novella release would be a part of the same universe! One thing I love in this author’s books is the representation, and Fan Service had a really interesting mix that I don’t see too often in my reading. We have chronic pain and transgender representation, but we also have plus-sized main characters and a character that identifies on the aromantic spectrum. I was really intrigued to see how these three characters would find their happily ever after given the dynamics, but I loved how it worked out for them. Robin’s books are always incredibly spicy, but they also demonstrate meaningful communication and the importance of boundaries in relationships. Bryce, Rory, and Ezra end up in a combination of a romantic and queerplatonic relationship, and I think it’s so important that different relationship dynamics are modelled in our reading. This book was incredibly spicy, and I really enjoyed the different elements the characters explored together - particularly voyeurism and exhibitionism. It turned out to be oh-so-spicy and lots of fun. I don’t know if I’ve ever read a book featuring minotaurs as main characters before (except in Robin’s work), and this is certainly something I’d like to read more of!
This is a quicker read, and as per usual, this author’s work did not disappoint! A great erotic novella featuring FMM dynamics and representation across the board.
I received an advanced review copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
TLDR: love Minotaurs, love the voyeurism, love the fat rep, love how the SW-fan relationship unfolded from client/customer to in person (this felt genuinely very real to me), but this was way too short to try to take on and explain all the things it wanted to and it felt like it sacrificed the smut, the character building, and the minotaur novelty of it in order to talk at me in samey voices about marginalized identity and healthy relationship dynamics.
If this was longer, we’d see more of a natural relationship progression, more tension as relationships grew, there would be time for characters to develop their own unique voices and it would feel less like. “How do I cram as much stuff that I don’t see enough of in smut as I can into this one short story”.
I also just…. Craved knowing more about how these identities applied specifically to these characters in this world with Minotaurs.
I definitely get the feeling that this was rushed to get in for the deadline for a K!nkytober submission instead of the characters getting the time and growth they could have gotten for the talky dynamic-identity-bits to feel earned.
Consider this more of a 3.25 because I love and appreciate the space this author is trying to fill with this story and it is a cute short lunch break read, but would either make it longer and develop characters more, or cut some of the “intro to aromantics/nontoxic poly dynamics” vibe and let the vibe stand on its own without being explained so much
Short, fun and sexy. Exactly what I love from Margaret xyr's books and this book just delivered.
I loved the start of the book a lot. It showed these two men, Bryce and Ezra, with a lovely deep and familiar bond taking care of each other and eating a meal together. It made me start the book with lovely warm feelings, excited to see where these fun characters are going to end up in. Well, fun they did end up in only a few pages later. Jerking off with friends definitely was a good time for the both of them and I really enjoyed that too.
The jerk off session then leads into the rest of the book where our other protagonist is shown. Rory is a lovely woman who knows what she is doing in life and I greatly enjoyed that. We read about her background and about her best friend and knowing she currently has a good support system in her was nice. I enjoyed her reflecting on the happenings in the book with her friend a lot.
And while I have mentioned a lot of things I enjoyed in the book so far, the thing I enjoyed the most was the healthy communication all characters had with each other. People communicated their needs, apologized honestly when needed and worked together to find solutions to problems. Reading a book where everyone is a mature adult really feels like an easy breath in between a sea of struggles. It made the book feel like a warm balm when I was finished with it.
Concluding this is a lovely book for someone who wants something short and fun while leaving them feeling wholesome towards the end.
Fan Service is a delightful read that follows two minotaurs as they develop a relationship with each other and a woman they befriended on spicy times app.
One of my favorite tropes involves following folks who are in sex work. I love the body positivity and sex positivity of it and I love how the inclusion de-stigmatizes the profession. Work is work!
Rory our FMC is so hot and so sweet. I love a femme who knows what and who she wants and knows how to communicate effectively.
Bryce and Ezra were soooo sweet and I love their dynamic so much. I love a respectful pining for one’s roommate and I love having such incredible ace spec rep! Ezra’s communication about his needs and wants was SO IMPORTANT and I love how RJM handled that part of the book. I definitely am sooo curious about knowing more about Bryce, but I loooved how casual the entire book was about how normal it is to be trans. These two minotaurs have my heart and I loved getting to know them in this book.
Because this is a novella, this had quite a bit of summarized bits. I really wish we could have had the extended story. But this is an erotic novella, so I totally understand why RJM executed the book how they did. I’m greedy! Gimme a full novel, RJM! 😚😉
This was a fabulous 4/5 ⭐️ and a spicy 3/5 🌶️. I’m so excited to have more from the monster mixer universe! Thank you Robin for the eARC!

This was such a cute romance novella. I really love Robin’s writing style and this one was amazing! It follows Bryce, a Minotaur, as he follows Rory who is a adult entertainer. They talk a lot and their relationship is becoming more serious. Rory decides after countless texts and phone calls to meet in person. So they plan a night in Bryce’s apartment when his roommate is out. But when the day arrives and his roommate comes home early he can just hide out in his room and plans don’t have to change? I loved the dynamic Rory and Bryce have as he really respects her and her job. They clicked and decided to take their relationship/friendship to a next level. Also seeing the platonic relationship between Bryce and his roommate Ezra was so cute, it was clear they have known each other for years and are well in tune with each other. I loved the platonic aspect of this romance as Ezra is ace and as he explains in the book it is really a spectrum and everyone is different. To see Bryce and Rory accept that and want to be with him was the best! If you are looking for a queer, trans, plus size steamy minotaur romance be sure to check this one out! Thanks to Robin Jo Margaret for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book looked like a slam dunk for me. Queer monsters with Disability rep. It's like it's written for me! It was good but I saw a lot of room for improvement. I usually am along for the ride and I read for vibes alone and there were 3 big issues that stole my attention from the story.
1. I wanted more description and history for the TransMasc MMC, Bryce. I absolutely loved how the author deftly and nonchalantly explained why he had horns. However, there were some questions about anatomy when he and the FMC were together. Some descriptions contradicted themselves. I just want to be able to visualize the action.
2. Where there was almost no description for Bryce, she made up for it with the Aromantic MMC, Ezra. There were almost 2 pages of him explaining his experience with the Aromantic Spectrum and how he needed the FMC and Bryce to accept him, and how he experiences romance and attraction. The FMC and Bryce accepted it without question and without any discussion of their desires or needs from Ezra in a relationship. It felt lopsided.
3. It ended incredibly abruptly. Like falling off a cliff.
All in all, I liked it but I want more. This could have been another 100 pages long.
Robin’s writing is warm and inviting, and she’s built a story that feels both whimsical and grounded. We follow Bryce, a trans Minotaur living with anxiety and chronic pain, and Rory, a plus-size green-haired adult entertainer who radiates confidence and joy. After countless texts and late-night calls, they finally arrange to meet in person. What unfolds inside Bryce’s apartment (with his ace roommate Ezra hovering in the background) is tender, funny, and unexpectedly affirming.
I adored how much respect Bryce shows Rory for her work, her boundaries, and her vibrant self and how Rory’s self-belief isn’t just a façade but something lived-in and inspiring. The platonic relationship between Bryce and Ezra is also a highlight; it’s rare to see an ace character portrayed with such calm steadiness and mutual understanding. The spice here is fun, the dirty talk hot, but the heart of the story is soft and safe, making it the perfect palate cleanser after darker reads. It’s not without flaws a bit of repetition and a POV style that isn’t my favorite but overall it’s a sweet, cozy, queer romance with two (yes, two!) Minotaurs and a heroine who’s a walking green flag. I closed the book feeling grateful, comforted, and a little smitten.
Rory is a famous adult entertainer so she usually keeps her clients and fans at a distance. Over the past several months though, she has gotten close to Bryce and decides to ask him to meet in person. On the day they’re supposed to meet, Bryce’s roommate, Ezra, is unexpectedly home so their meeting won’t be as private as they thought. When Bryce decides to go ahead with the date and not tell Rory, things inevitably get turned upside down.
I really liked this story of Rory, Bryce, and Ezra. I loved the representation included especially regarding bisexuality and chronic pain. It felt really realistic and relatable. I did wish that there had been more discussion or explanation in some of the conversations, but I did like how they emphasized open communication between the three of them. I’m excited to see what else the author has in store for these characters.
What can I say about this positively adorable only fans inspired meet cute between a trans minotaur mmc with Anxiety and chronic pain from a sports injury and a plus-size green-haired beauty who is also a giant green flag. I love her. Also, insert another minotaur MMC roommate who likes to dabble in some light voyeurism.
I enjoyed this novella because it was an easy-going, cosy and light read which happens to be my go-to after I have a dark romance binge. There were some parts my lizard brain didn't quite understand or got confused about but most things were cleared up later on in the book. I'm also not a fan of 3rd person pov but each chapter was titled with the character name (but that's just an opinion), it was a little repetitive in some parts. But overall, it was a sweet book, with two minotaurs, a confident AF FMC, and a whole lot of fun!
This was my first read involving poly relationships and I was very intrigued. I enjoyed the respectful and deep dive into relationships and identities outside of cis-hetero social norms. One character is Trans, another previously struggled with fatphobia, and one is allosexual. Recently I've been reading more books with characters of various identities & sexualities as the main characters, rather than supporting cast. And I've been loving the expansion of my reading taste because of it. Robin Jo has further expanded my knowledge of beings, their interactions with each other, and the way in which they show up and love one another. Ezra being the prime example of that; he showed me a more in-depth perspective into someone who's on the Aromance spectrum. I don't identify as such but I do know others that do, and I always love learning about and understanding other's experiences. Read this book; its short, sweet, and full of the most delicious toe-curling spicy scenes 🌶️🌶️🔥🔥
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 For a monster romance this felt like a warm, safe space. Considering that this is a novella, it contains so much healthy communication and conversations around consent. The spicy aspects felt like it could become repetitive but they were good. At times I was a little confused about the logistics though. I will say that it wasn’t quite for me. It was a little too sweet (if that makes sense) for my taste so I found it hard to stay immersed in the story. But if you want a monster romance with all the previously mentioned healthy aspects and really sweet characters, this may be for you. It wasn’t cringey or anything, just not relatable for me.
This book was received as an ARC and this review is based on my own opinions.
Such a fun and modern take on romance! This book has two of my favorite things….. big ol Minotaurs *swoon* and so many other Microtropes that make it a fun and wholly satisfying read! It’s MFM with the female sandwich being a curvy green haired human who is a tech nerd by day an adult cam star by evening. Both bulls are all over her and mesmerized by her soft curves. I love it!
The dynamics between each of the characters is so unique and fresh it was fun to read. What Bryce and Ezra have pulled at my heartstrings SO MUCH. And the way this ended has me rooting for them all so much. I would subscribe to that OF in a heartbeat. Especially if we got to see the Minotaur swords cross and another group clean up!
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
If you’ve ever found yourself annoyed by the miscommunication trope this book is for you. These characters communicate on a level I’ve never seen before. (It kinda made me realize I do prefer the miscommunication trope because it adds some drama and this book was lacking in drama for me.)
But— the smut is hot. Two Minotaurs, one is a trans man and then a plus size woman complete this throuple. It was cozy, short and sweet. A great quick read. I really appreciate how the book dealt with chronic pain in one of the characters as well. It’s not often you see chronic pain in romance and I’ve never seen chronic pain interrupt sex in a book before which was honestly refreshing.
3.5 stars I got accepted by the author to read this as an arc. It was a fun short story. Monster romance is not my usual vibe, but I wanted to try something different. There was a lot of background for all of the characters for such a short book, which made it fairly immersive and enjoyable. I felt like I was able to understand them in a short amount of time. I liked all of the different representations: asexuality, transgender, sex work, larger characters. It felt very well rounded in making sure readers felt included. The relationship aspect moved too quickly for my taste, especially considering it was not the normal development of a relationship. Overall it was an enjoyable little book with good smut and a nice background.
I'm really glad that Margaret has plans to expand on this because it's so close to being what I wanted. Unfortunately, because it tried to do so much in such few pages, I ended up feeling like the relationship just didnt quiet mesh the way I wanted it to. It felt lopsided (and not in the way I expected!), after Bryce said he felt like he was often the afterthought when there were 3 people involved, I couldnt help feeling like he did feel like the afterthought in all the interactions. When the other two were in the room with each other, they really seemed all into each other and Bryce would just be some hands that occasionally showed up. Bryce was my favorite, so I just needed him to get more than that! Still, I'm all in on Margaret's writing so will definitely be checking out more.
This was a super cute and spicy comfort read. There are some heavier topics touched on, but really in general it's a very safe feeling space for the entirety of the book.
Rory is so confident and its really refreshing to see plus size characters who actually believe that they're all that and a bag of chips, and not just pretending. She still has her vulnerabilities, but her confidence is wildly attractive.
Bryce is an absolute sweetheart. The perfect little simp for Rory, wonderfully offset by Ezra's steady and calm presence.
The spice was great, the dirty talk was hot. I'd recommend this one for anyone who loves minotaurs and sassy/confident plus size FMCs.
I try to only request ARCs that I think are going to be an easy 5*, but I was let down by this one. :( I thought there was too much being crammed into something so short to really get a solid grasp on any part of it. I wanted to see a LOT more world building, information about the characters, and the relationships felt really insta-forced.
I want there to be a lot more representation for ALL the groups touched on in this book, and I love that it's being written. I just wanted more from this.
It was a fun, quick read with LOTS of representation for different underrepresented groups, so if that's what you're looking for... VOILA!
Firstly, I'd like to thank Robin Jo Margaret for the eARC ♡
I usually avoid 3rd person, but I actually found that I thoroughly enjoyed this. I absolutely loved the MCs, especially Bryce. I found myself relating to traits from each of them here and there, which made me love them even more. I love the diversity and representation throughout the story; especially Ezra's explanation of his Aromantic experiences and thoughts. The open communication and acceptance between the MCs was refreshing and something I'd like to see more of!
Overall: the spice was spice-ing but it was also so wholesome at the same time! I'm definitely coming back for more from this author!
This is a super short, fast paced romance. I love Bryce as he is a total sweetheart and even though he's shy, he is very good at showing/telling Rory and Ezra how much they mean to him. I love how confident Rory is especially considering her profession and Ezra is a nice addition to their relationship. There is a good amount of spice for such a short story, but honestly it works for the book. I hope to see if their stories continue and what that relationship will look like now that they've discussed everything.
A big thanks to the Author Robin Jo Margaret for the opportunity to read this ARC. This is my honest, voluntary review.
I like a good monster romance from time to time. This novella ARC i received, did not disappoint. I gave it three stars mainly because it was definitely spice heavy and plot light. I do prefer a bit more plot with my spice. This was more along the lines of Dear Hustler.
This story is about Bryce, Ezra (minataurs) and Rory (human). Who all find each other through her paid adult site. A relationship forms between the three and happy times ensue. What I liked the best was the portrayal of how good communication, rules and boundaries come into play while establishing a poly type relationship. If you are looking for a good time read this novella.
First, I wanted to say how refreshing it was to read about a FMC who wasn’t the same body type as every other girl in romance. Don’t get me wrong, I love those stories too, it was just nice to feel more represented. I also loved how Rory was so confident and in touch with herself.
I also really liked Bryce and Ezra’s dynamic with each other and with Rory. Overall this was a very cute story with a lot of good spice.
My biggest wish from this was that there was more of them during their daily life and mundane activities together. Honestly if this had been a full length novel, it would have been AMAZING. 3.75/5
This super spicy short story featuring two Minotaur and an only fan worker is sure to get you going! But the best part about it is how easily the author managed to make the story wholesome. Bryce has the most adorable secret crush on his roommate. And he's the perfect gentleman when it comes to courting Rory. He never pushes boundaries, even when he wants more from her. We stan a communications king 👑. I really did love every character in the story and hope she will write more about them in the future, this short just wasn't enough.
