"You didn't survive this for nothing. You didn't sacrifice it all for nothing. You didn't love this hard for nothing. You didn't carry your dry bones for nothing. You didn't take the risks for nothing. You didn't walk this road for nothing. It was never for nothing. None of it."
"Dry Bones" is a collection of poetry by Author, Ullie-Kaye that includes many works relating to loss and hope as it relates to our own, unique encounters with the challenges and beauty of life. It references the scripture found in Ezekiel 37: 1-10 where Ezekiel finds himself standing in the middle of a vast and barren valley of dry bones. God speaks to him and tells him to speak life into them so that breath may once again enter them. In this poignant and powerful passage, we come to understand that we are called to breathe hope and life into whatever situations we are facing. This, of course, requires us to use our mustard seed of faith during our most challenging circumstances.
Whether we are facing the valley of illness, heartbreak, grief, spiritual crisis, a societal issue or just a profound sense of feeling isolated or lost in a world that we are in but not a part of, this resounds with hope and the promise of new life. Whatever valley of dry bones you find yourself in today, know that the Creator of all things is carrying you. Our impossible pain does not intimidate our very possible God!
