I thoroughly enjoyed this modern retelling of the story of Jonah, told through the eyes of a teenage boy wrestling with forgiveness in the aftermath of a life-shattering event. Jonas’s raw emotions were deeply relatable as he waged a war inside himself over whether to forgive someone who, in his eyes, didn’t deserve it. Pastor Andy Addis delivers a powerful young-adult novel that captures the very real struggle of forgiveness and the overwhelming grace of God that many of us have experienced in a powerful way. Just like the prison guards in the story I found myself with ‘something in my eye’ by the end…

A modern retelling of the Biblical event, Jonah.
Jonas must forgive the drunk driver who killed his parents, but he doesn't want to, and so runs away. Running away doesn't go well.

Excellently written!
