At times this book is pure genius; at other times it's skip-worthy.
When Epstein gets going and is speaking in his own element - that is math and physics, it's absolutely mesmerizing. I think about things in ways I've never thought about them and blown away by concepts, similes, and analogies, and how they all fit together.
But then he shifts the style and I get bored very quickly. The whole book was like a pendulum swing of incredible and fascinating to boring and uninteresting.
Definintely worth the read just for the interesting parts though!
