Demon Daddy’s Hidden Son

Rate this book
She was mine long before she knew it.

A fierce little human with dirt under her nails, defiance in her spine, and a gift for magic that rivaled my own. I freed her from indenture—not to keep her, but to give her a choice.

She chose me.

Then she vanished.

One mountain delivery. No return. No body. Just silence.

For two years I tore the world apart. Looking. Grieving. Rage and ritual, obsession and ruin—until I found her.

Alive. In a forgotten village.

Raising my son with another man’s hands on her waist.

She doesn’t remember me. Doesn’t remember our home, our fire, the nights she begged me not to stop. But our son has my wings. My eyes. My power.

And I won’t walk away from either of them.

I already lost her once.

I won’t lose her again.

Read on for hidden babies, memory loss, winged possessive obsession, and an ethereal architect who would rather burn heaven down than let anyone else raise his heir. HEA Guaranteed!

Celeste King is the author behind the Worlds of Protheka, a collection of interconnected series that promise dark fantasy, intense romance, and washboard abs. When it comes to her stories, there are sure to brooding alphas, sassy humans, and plenty of spice to look forward to.

With the ever growing fantasy worlds, the 'what ifs' are endless, and that is what excites her the most. Even she doesn't know just how far these characters will go, but she's gladly along for the ride.

You can always find her fearlessly diving into an adventure (in this world or another), typically with her husband, and partner in crime, at her side.

She helps keep the excitement alive for the rest us with each of her Prothekan works, where there are no heroes coming to save you and being kidnapped...isn't so bad when your captor is this hot.

Heartfelt read where a pair are separated for over two years and now have to learn about each other again
Kaleen and Domiel were the two halves of the same whole and they were always together, however when his schedule means he needs a crystal urgently he allows with great reluctance Kaleen to collect them and she should return in three days.
After three days Kaleen still has not returned and Domiel feels the pain to the depth of his very bones and guarantees that he will find the other half of his soul, two years he searched always believing that she was alive and there was a good reason why she had gone missing.
When Domiel found a small out of the way hidden human village in the forest he had instantly recognised his missing love but she seemed to have actually no recognition of him and this was all extremely strange and he begins to realise that the accident on the way to get his gem stones was how her head had been injured and she had completely lost her memory.
Then he also discovers that whilst she was in the village, she gave birth to a baby who without the slightest doubt is his, he has the same eyes and even though he is only eighteen months old he is quite obviously his son and the timeline means she was pregnant when she went onto the journey on his behalf.
Since Kaleen has been in the village she has been taken in by them all and they have all helped her with her little boy Brayton and all the woman that had been at the birth had guarded the fact that he is half Xaphan and are looking after pair since she wandered into the village with no memory.
As Domiel gets to know his young son Brayton. Kaleen is aware that the obvious natural interaction between them is important and she is starting to have old memories resurfacing but is also aware that Lake the only man her son has ever known is obviously not happy about their growing closeness.
I guarantee that you will be blown away by this simply heartfelt read that pulls at all of your heartstrings and I know that you will be as blown away by this book as I have.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

🔥 She Chose Me… Even When She Didn’t Remember Who I Was
Okay, this one hit me right in the soul. Demon Daddy’s Hidden Son isn’t just a dark romance—it’s a wild ride through loss, obsession, and a love that refuses to be forgotten.
He freed her so she could choose, but she vanished. For two years, he tore the world apart looking for her, fueled by grief and rage—and when he finally finds her, she’s raising their son… with another man.
The heartbreak? Off the charts. The memory loss? Gut-wrenching. But what kept me glued was the way Celeste King wrote that fierce, possessive love—this demon daddy would rather burn heaven down than lose what’s his.
There’s magic, there’s wings, there’s a power so intense it practically leaps off the pages. And the way they slowly rebuild what was lost? It’s messy, desperate, and utterly captivating.
If you’re craving a dark, emotional romance with hidden babies, epic obsession, and a hero who won’t back down, this book is exactly what your heart’s been screaming for.

This was an enjoyable second chance romance story I'd read. Our characters were engaging and likable, their romantic story was entertaining to read with the drama and romance. This story is about Kaleen our ex-human slave and Domiel our demon (xaphan) mage who were lovers. Domiel needs a particular item for his spell to work to complete Vaelthorne's contract, and he can't find any reliable couriers. Kaleen volunteers to pick the item up, but she doesn't return home. What happens afterwards years later when he finds her with no memory of him was an enjoyable antsy copy I'd volunteered to read and review.

I loved this book. Another amazing read in the Demon Daddies series. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Domiel and Kaleen. The catalyst for their separation was unique and I loved it- it set this story apart from the more common reasons a couple ends up separated in Prothekan romance between a human, their non-human lover, and the child[ren] they created together. No spoilers, but this was a fun journey and I was hooked to their story. It wasn't easy for either of them, but worth the work for their HEA. Braylon was so cute, and the scenes with him and Domiel so sweet. 5 stars

“Demon Daddy’s Hidden Son” by Celeste King

-A dark, emotional second-chance romance packed with magic, obsession, amnesia, and secrets. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Domiel finds his lost love Kaleen—and their hidden child—after two painful years of searching.
Their bond defies memory loss, time, and danger, burning with intensity and devotion.

A gripping tale of redemption, love, and the family fate refused to erase. The farewell to her friends is especially poignant and touching. Little Braylon’s attachment to his friends is sweet.

story with both angst and joy

This is incredibly moving… I couldn’t put it down. The early part builds a lovely picture, the middle a precious new life and the end… well I’m not going to spoil the end and rightness for you!
