Clarissa Cartharn is the author of romance novels such as Captive,Perfect Vengeance and the action/romance Jar series.
Traveling, learning new languages and cultures are some of her interests which have inspired her books. She turned her love for writing into a full-pledged passion with her first romance, Winter's End and has since never looked back. After almost ten romance novels, each with eclectic themes ranging from angsty Cinderella inspirations to thrillers set in the barren war torn lands of Afghanistan, Clarissa is currently on a new adventure to find her next love story.
Her Writing Style: 1. A premise 2. Romance 3. Realism 4. Heat. Yep, yep and yep 5. Vulgarity- where needed be. Oh come on, if she's gonna be writing about warlords, arms dealers, drug traffickers and rough-necked soldiers, then please don't expect them to be minding their tenses and grammar. 6. Oh yes, and a plot! Especially, a plot! A darned good one!

I really like this series and I hope in the end that Nora and Adam get together. I see the bond growing a little bit better in this book. I hope they both get to go home as well. I have really enjoyed this short stories series. I like to read short stories just to break up the day sometimes and this series is a great distraction. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*
I’ve been waiting for this release I love this series. I was waiting for this episode and now I’m hanging out for the next part. This story is very well written. The descriptions are excellent and it’s just as if you are there as you read it. I so enjoy the two main characters. Adam is the quintessential hero. He’s tortured by his love for Nora and as she starts to realize she has feelings for him I was so hoping they could finally make love to each other. The mystery and suspense within the story is gripping and I read all the way through these stories unable to stop. It’s hard to describe any of the plot without spoilers, but in this part of the series Nora sets off across the Registan desert, a place where she will surely die. Adam finally relents and sets out after her. Meanwhile her friends in America are frantically trying to locate her. The mystery deepens and we are taken back to the desert where Adam takes care of Nora. The ending only heightens the suspense. Highly recommend this entire series so far.
Book #3 (out of 4) - Short story with a cliffhanger! - copy from author in exchange for an honest review -
I absolutely devoured all 3 of these books. 4-5 stars on each of them.
This one had some confusion and frustration for me as the reader and I felt like it jumped from hate to love so quickly but hey...it was still a wonderful read.
Loved that we got to understand Adam a little more in this book. (trying really hard not to spoil things here). Norah's character bothered me quit a bit in the book but I'm hoping she'll sort herself out soon.
This is another wonderful rollercoaster of a read and getting us ready for the final installment.
5 remarkable stars. Adam finally confess he was in love with Nora and also told her that might not make it from his mission. While Adam spent two days apart from her, Nora thought he was with his mistress. The women there filled Nora's head with nonsense saying that Adam has a second wife Layla. Nope, Adam only have a heart for Nora and its belongs to her even she did not accept it yet. Yet another cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book.
I loved the two first book's ... But somehow Captive 3 when to fast... We went from hate to love in a couple of pages.. Don't take me wrong all that sexual tension was killing me here! But I feel like We are getting nowhere fast, I hope we can learn much more of Adam and Nora and what is really going on back home with Amy who's wealing to put herself on the line for her best friend..
Hermoso libro!! un poco fuera de lo normal que vemos todos los días... ame a Adam!!! solo que ahora me quedé con las ganas de saber que sucede en el cuarto libro!!!
