Dude acquires the body of Captain Fab (Superman) and sells his body parts out of the trunk of his car to gangsters who keep asking, “What did he ever do to you?” This is eventually answered, but not before insane stories about turning Captain Fab into highly addictive drugs. There’s also a sentient, superpowered liver. And a whole slew of other nuggets of insanity—most stories clock in at under ten pages.
Thankfully, Bad Idea relented a bit in their truly bad ideas (i.e. selling one of the included issues only on the west coast, and the other on the east coast) and published a trade (a Hero Trade trade) directly to comic shops. Support your local for this one.
Matt Kindt and David Lapham are an auto-buy for me, but this was even better than expected. Wild, metaphorical, brilliant.
one of the best super hero books I have read In years. it's very messed up and that's why I love it. love these short stories and they all work for me which I love that. also love this about the current superhero genre in comics at the moment is very interesting.
I picked this up without knowing anything about it and I can say it was a pleasant surprise. I definitely enjoyed it. This is fun and honestly a unique take on the superhero genre I haven't seen in a while.
