She sparkles for the world, but her truth lives hidden in the shadows—until he steps into the darkness to help set her free.

Tinsley Sinclair seems to have it all—the fame, the fans, and an empire built on years of nonstop touring and relentless hustle. But not everything that glitters is gold. To the world, she's the country pop superstar with a charmed life. The truth runs darker than the spotlight ever shows—and it's getting too heavy for Tinsley to carry on her own.

Jack Callahan never expected the stunning redheaded goddess that stopped him in his tracks to end up being his best friend's little sister—let alone fall for her. But one night changes everything … until he wakes to an empty bed and a shattered heart. Tinsley may think she can avoid him, but Jack isn't the kind of man who gives up on someone who needs him—especially when it's her.

When Tinsley's backed into a corner with no way out, Jack doesn't hesitate to step in. But love—like life—rarely plays by the rules.

After tragedy strikes, Tinsley escapes to Forrest Falls, searching for peace and a place to heal. For the first time, she finds somewhere that feels like home—or what she's always imagined home could be. But freedom comes with a price, and facing her past might be the only way to protect the future she's finally brave enough to want.

Holding On is a slow burn romantic suspense novel featuring a curvy country pop star heroine who has loved her brother's headstrong billionaire best friend her entire life. This dual POV book includes adult themes and language, and is the third book in The Callahans, a series of interconnected standalone novels that can be read alone but best enjoyed if read in order.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC REVIEW!!!!

Holding On by Liz Colbert completely stole my heart. This story is emotional, layered, and so beautifully written that I felt every single high and low right alongside the characters.

Tinsley Sinclair is such a powerful heroine. On the surface she shines. She is famous, adored, and larger than life. But behind the spotlight, she is carrying pain that feels almost unbearable.

Watching her slowly unravel the truth she has been hiding from the world broke my heart in the best way. Her vulnerability feels real and raw, especially as she searches for a place where she can finally breathe and just be herself.

And then there is Jack Callahan. This man. He is steady, protective, and fiercely loyal without ever trying to overpower her voice. His love is not flashy. It is patient. It is intentional. It is the kind of love that stands in the dark and refuses to leave. The history between them adds such depth to their connection. You can feel that he has loved her for years, even when everything between them feels complicated and messy.

The slow burn is absolutely perfect. The tension, the longing, the quiet moments where everything hangs unspoken in the air. It all builds into something that feels earned and deeply satisfying. When tragedy strikes and Tinsley escapes to Forrest Falls, the story takes on this tender, healing quality that made my chest ache. That small town setting feels like a warm embrace, a safe place where broken pieces can start to fit together again.

This book is about more than romance. It is about survival. It is about finding your voice after being silenced. It is about learning that holding on does not mean clinging to pain, but choosing love and courage when it would be easier to run.

Holding On is heartfelt, romantic, and full of emotional depth. Liz Colbert delivered a story that lingers long after the last page, and I am still thinking about Tinsley and Jack. If you love slow burn romance with real stakes, strong emotion, and a hero who shows up every single time, this book is an absolute must read.

Liz Colbert shows exactly how good a prologue can be and how powerfully it can be used. I was immediately hooked from the opening pages, it was perfect.

The twists and turns in this book are so well done. Several storylines continue from the first two books, and it’s thrilling to move further along with them, getting closer to the overall conclusion while still fully enjoying the ride Liz takes you on.

Jack and Tinsley are so stinkin’ cute. I loved how Jack is straightforward with his feelings without ever overwhelming her. The man is completely gone for her, and it’s adorable. Tinsley, on the other hand, has been through years of absolute hell, and my heart broke for her more than once.

One of my favorite things about Liz Colbert’s writing is how real her characters feel. Not just the main characters, but everyone. You feel like you truly know them, like they’re your friends, which makes you deeply invested in both the heartbreak and the triumphs. The emotional payoff is incredibly rewarding.

The Callahan family once again shows up in the best way, and I loved every second of it. They are one of my all time favorite book families!

This story kept me on my toes, broke my heart, healed it, and then did it all over again only to leave me even more satisfied by the end. Jack and Tinsley’s journey toward healing and love was beautiful, emotional, and so worth it. This is romantic suspense at its finest, and I couldn’t put it down.

Holding On

This book is the fourth book in The Callahans/Forrest Falls series and man, does it up the ante on an already brilliant series.

Liz has delivered an absolutely emotional book. Be warned, this has some very deep subject matter and it is essential that you read the trigger warnings. Having said that, the subject matter is used to show that the strength we have inside us is always there even when we have been beaten down.

Tinsley, our FMC, has a lot to overcome but with the help of our MMC Jack, she's finally able to find the path that will lead her to safety. It's not a quick or easy path for her to travel but with the help of her brother along with Jack and the rest of the Callahans she starts her journey to healing.

Liz pulls you into this world effortlessly and you become immersed in the story which is a rollercoaster of emotions. Just as you think you have found some stable ground, Liz throws another curve ball at you.

I love how easily the story flows, letting you truly get to know each of the characters. It's not rushed, and as the characters fully evolve you smile at their antics, swoon at the romance and cry at the injustices. If you are looking for a book, and a series, full of strong women and tough but loving men, this is for you. This one gets a 5.5 stars from me and I truly urge you to grab your copy when it comes out.

Liz absolutely nailed this book! I have been a dedicated reader of this series from the very beginning, and I think I will be until the end. The Calvary, and now Brigade, all hold a special place in my heart. I was patiently (ok not so patiently) waiting for Jack’s story. He is the oldest of the Calvary and I knew in my heart he deserved his HEA. This one is a little darker than the others, so check your triggers.

Jack never expected the redheaded fireball to stop him in his tracks, but he feels like he has been struck with lightning when she barrels into his life. Little did he know, she is his best friend’s little sister, who he hasn’t seen in many years. That one night with her has changed everything for him. She may not think they can be together, but he will stop at nothing to make sure she knows she belongs with him.

Tinsley has been dealt a rough hand in life. Yes, she has the glitter and fame, but it comes with a great cost to her freedom, she has none. When another tragedy strikes in her life, she runs to the only place that feels safe, that is with Jack.

Hold On by Liz Colbert absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible.

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The emotional depth in this story is unreal it’s raw, messy, heartfelt, and so beautifully written. The connection between Tinsley and Jack felt authentic and intense.

Liz Colbert has a way of writing love that isn’t perfect or easy it’s fought for. It’s tested. And that’s what makes it so powerful. I found myself completely invested, feeling every ounce of tension, heartbreak, and hope right alongside them. I cried so many time throughout this book. The way the “Calvary” have each other’s backs is what family is all about.

This book is about resilience and choosing love even when it would be easier to walk away. If you love emotional romances that pull at your heart and refuse to let go, Hold On needs to be at the top of your TBR. This is a 10/10. I am now patiently waiting for the next book!!

I want to give a huge thanks to @lovenotes.pr and @lizcolbertauthor for this amazing opportunity to read this ARC!

Oh my goodness! I'm so overwhelmed with emotions!
Holding On is a beautiful, emotional, captivating, wonderful romantic suspense! I'm obsessed with Jack and Tinsley's story! I could not put this book down! Things kept happening one after another, and I needed to know what was going to happen!
My emotions were all over the place! At different times, I was scared, angry, sad, furious, shocked as well as happy, joyful, content, and proud. Be prepared to have some tissues! I was crying angry tears, sad tears, happy tears, and tears of joy!
Each of these stories in The Callahans series have their own unique story. Holding On is different from the first two books. It has some dark themes so please check your triggers! The found family trope is one of the best tropes to read! I love the support The Callahan family gives to all family and friends! I love how it just keeps growing with each book! I love this book! I love this series! Can't wait to read the next book!
Thank you Liz and Love Notes PR for including me as an ARC reader!!

I’m so grateful to have been sent this ARC by Liz Colbert in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved the Callahan’s and Forrest Falls since book one, and I’m so happy to have gotten to read Holding On early.

This book is heavier than the first 2.5 books. They all have their suspense elements, but Tinsley’s story is very heavy and traumatic.

I’m so glad we figured out who Cami is (did not see that coming!!)

I just found it a tad repetitive!

OBESSED! From the moment he saw Tinsley getting ready to go on stage he knew he was in love. She has always loved him and seeing her fall was so sweet. When she calls him to help her because she cannot get ahold of her brother you knew the hiding their feeling was over. But the heartbreak she has to go thru from her step dad and loss of her friend was heartbreaking. Plus the suspense was great.

This is the third book in the series. It is beautifully written. The author did a great job in developing the characters. I love learning more about the Callahan siblings in each book. This book brought up so many emotions. I cried, laughed, and cried some more. Liz is a new author and I am becoming obsessed with her books! I cannot wait until book 4 is released.
