Jace has worked hard to become one of the richest men in the US. He’s now used to getting what he wants; whether that be business or pleasure. When he meets Renee, she gives him a run for his money. There is no way that she will talked down to or told what to do. She brings something out of Jace that he never expected… Compassion. Will he be able to catch this firefly before she’s gone forever?
I wanted to like this book more but I’m not sure what the other reviews are raving about. The outline was there but there just wasn’t enough depth. These characters were underdeveloped. There was never a moment where you felt like “ oh okay now I get it. I get what he is the way he is.” He just wasn’t likable and she was memorable. I give this a 2 star rating because I did in fact finish the book.
Jace was an asshole! But he grew on me! 😂 The things that he did to bring Renee into his space, was crazy as hell! Renee, was so strong dealing with all of her family issues, and still stepping out on her own! Coming to work for Jace's company was an eye-opening experience for her. Then when he pursues her, it is game on! They were adorable together, but the drama! Damn! Enjoyed the read, but I have so many questions! What is wrong with Jace? Maddison refers to wanting him to be like he was before. Before what? Tiffany, or did something else happen? Where is his family? Why does he get so angry, and have to work it out in "that" method? Who was on the phone toward the end when Maddison answered? I hope that this is not the end, as this left me wanting and needing more! 👍👍👍
This was a quick read and I loved it! A romance with a splash of suspense and thrill. I also think Jace is being added to my list of book boyfriends. Can’t wait to read the second one!
I love a man who doesn’t play about his woman. Jace didn’t come off as the cold and angry man that everyone portrayed him to be. The story kinda got crazy at the end. Like we got attempted murder and a marriage proposal in 3 months.
A little bit of the dialogue was mixed up. I though the flashback should’ve been italicized.
I loved everything about this book. The angst\ tension was the perfect amount. The length of the book was perfect. The way her characters are so well fleshed out. Even some book twice this length don't have detailed characters. This book took me through all the emotions! Happy, sad, and angry. If I had been reading a physical copy I probably would have tossed it a couple times the way my emotions were. Speaking of I did order a signed copy because I need it on my shelf!
Tamara girl the book was a hit! It was cute, well written and straightforward. The content flowed together perfectly and I loved every bit of it. There’s not much else I can say. There was some downfalls for me at the incredibly short chapters that honestly could’ve been put together. The book could’ve been 20 chapters and I would’ve still read it. The Fl was cute, I like powerhouse women and she had a couple of those moments. I like the ML as well but, not as much as the FL. The side characters were strong in the story and I loved a strong side character it adds to the fantasy. 7.5/10🐣
This book was everything I didn’t expect in such a small amount of pages.
I think going in I expected this to be a fast, sexy read with minimal plot. It felt more like a novella to me in length, so I wasn’t really sure what would happen.
Boy was I wrong! This book had tension, it had conflict, it had an alpha hole who needed to be tamed, it had diversity, family dysfunction and a twist I really didn’t see coming!
This was a great read! Can’t wait to pick up more of her work!
I went into this completely blind. I was surprised at how fast paced this story was. There were a few times I was confused on what was happening because it was all happening so fast. I also didn't expect the bit of spice throughout the story but wasn't mad at it either. Overall this was a fun quick read.
Okay Tamara this is for you and you only , you did something with this one cause baby Jace is everything . This book got me out of a 3 month book slump and I’m headed over to read some of your others cause this was Hot Hot HAWT .
Loved the main characters... Fallible but endearing. Overcoming hardships, horrible parents, conniving ex fiance, murderous business competitors and call girls but achieving their HEA is no easy task. Firefly is a great read.

I absolutely loved the twist and turns in this book. So glad I was able to meet Renee and Jace. I am all about the Alpha Male and Strong Female that ends with a HEA. Thank you so much for this ride Tamara
Great read it's nice to have BFMC type going on, my only wish FMC wasn't so weak when it came to her family but overall good book this is my 2nd book by this author
First time reading this author. It was a very good book I must say. The male mc was less than desirable at first but he found his footing and grew up. Was not expecting the twist but I loved it. Can't wait to read the second in the series.
I started off this book by hating Jace but by the end of the book, my views had changed. It's a short read but it was engaging all through. I sympathised with both Jace and Renee as different things came up in their respective lives but they took them in a stride.
This was my first book from this author and I loved it. The book is definitely fast paced and a quick read. I really loved Jace and Renee, it was definitely love at first sight.
DNF. I hate leaving bad reviews. I'm really sorry. But this could've benefitted from another pass through by an editor or beta readers. The characters were really underdeveloped and came off childish.
Just finished this book. I truly enjoyed it. It really shows the reality of who you choose as family. There is spice, misunderstandings, and family drama. Overall I recommend this book. Now onto the second one!
This is book is not at all what I expected( sneaky cover) nevertheless it was great. The MCs had depth and they were interesting. I even like the male characters best friend( she was all in it his....giving him the business). It was just a good book and the spice was incorporated well. Also the fact male MC is a fine black man. I couldn't ask for more. I can't wait to read the second book to this one( downloading right after review). As always check the trigger warnings!
This was a 4.4 star for me. Loved how the story started and allowed us to jump right in. I love how protective Jace was and how he loved Renee down. He was giving BDE the whole book. He was everything she needed. The spice was on point and I was here for the HEA.
Such a cute read. I swear some females are treacherous. But I love the way Maddie had Jaces back no matter what. Although Renee family treated her terribly, I’m glad she was able to connect with her sister.
This book was a wild ride and I loved it. The pacing and writing style could have been better but the storyline was enjoyable. I really wish we could have seen more of the alpha/ dominate side of the mmc when it come to the relationship of the couple but I hope to see more of that in book 2.
