When a city boy meets a mountain wolf, sparks—and fur—are bound to fly.
After a crushing career setback, architect Logan Mitchell flees the city for a remote mountain cabin, hoping to clear his head. But solitude is the last thing he finds when he meets his rugged, gorgeous Rowan Blackwood, a quiet, brooding man building his own cabin by hand.
Logan is instantly drawn to Rowan’s powerful body, soulful eyes, and strange, primal energy—but the man is a walking contradiction. He disappears into the woods at night, bristles at every touch, and growls when he thinks no one’s listening.
When Logan offers to help with construction, what starts as playful teasing and simmering tension ignites into heated, unforgettable nights. But as Rowan’s control frays, the truth he’s hiding claws its way to the he’s not just a man, but a wolf, and his instincts are screaming to claim Logan as his mate.
Humorous misunderstandings, irresistible chemistry, and a hunger that neither of them can deny lead to a passionate collision of two worlds—where one wrong move could cost them everything, and one right one could change their lives forever.
So, this is a decent book. The best part was the drama towards the end; it was a fantastic addition to the plot and gave the story sustenance. Unfortunately, the author sidesteps the drama towards the climax of the story and then makes it completely boring. I was shocked that the most interesting part of the story was almost a side story, then dropped. I was disappointed.
Loved the story along with all this authors books but darnit I was finally going to get a human transition to wolf in this one but nooooo it just ended before he was supposed to take the bite! How utterly frustrating!
