The "AI Prompt Engineering Bible" is an excellent book on generative AI prompt engineering, designed for users at the beginner to intermediate level. It provides a summary of the mechanics of AI interaction and the most suitable approach to constructing prompts to get the best results. Multimodal prompting and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) are also covered, as well as the responsible use of AI. The book includes plenty of examples. I already use this technology at work and for personal projects, but I did come across some valuable pieces of information. Recommended reading.

not able to rare this in Amazon.

same same but different 😮‍💨

Takeaway:

Key Performance Indicators: (Metric - What it measures - Self-assessment question)

Response accuracy - Alignment with the intended goal - Did the output answer my specific request clearly and correctly?

Coherence score - Logical flow and structural consistency - Did the response make sense all the way through, and was it easy to follow?

Hallucination rate - Rate of factual or nonsensical errors - Did the AI invent incorrect or impossible details?

Creativity quotient - Originality and innovation of the response - Was the answer fresh, imaginative, or surprising (when appropriate)?

Relevance score - Topical and contextual appropriateness - Was the output on-topic and appropriate for the situation?

Brevity vs. verbosity - Efficiency in length and information density - Did the AI ramble, or was the response concise and informative?

Format adherence - Did the AI follow instructions for structure/layout? - Was the output in the requested format (e.g., list, table, style)?

Tone appropriateness - Did the AI adopt the requested emotional style? - Did the tone match what I asked for (e.g., formal, humorous)?

Overall quality - Your general satisfaction rating (e.g., 1-10) - How satisfied was I with this output on first read?

* Tracking Tip: Use a simple spreadsheet, a dedicated notebook (your "Prompt Journal"), or even a notes app to log these KPIs for important prompts over time.

* Just a few columns: Date, Task/ Goal, Prompt Used, AI Model, Key KPI Ratings, and Notes for Next Time. This practice helps you spot patterns in what works for you and the types of tasks you do.

Here’s what an entry might look like:

● Date: 2025-05-19
● Prompt Version: V2 (revised from V1 after initial poor output)
● Use Case: Generate a blog post intro about the benefits of gardening.
● Model Used: ChatGPT-4 (or specific model name)
● Performance Ratings (from your KPI list):
o Response Accuracy: 4/5
o Coherence: 5/5
o Creativity: 3/5 (a bit generic)
o Relevance: 5/5
o Format Adherence: 5/5 (asked for two paragraphs, got it)
o Overall Quality: 7

Notes for Iteration (V3): "Output was good and followed structure, but the hook wasn't very engaging. Next time, for 'Role,' try 'You are a passionate gardening storyteller,' and for 'Tone,' add 'inspiring and slightly whimsical.' Explicitly ask for a surprising fact or question in the first sentence."

This book is more of a reference than one to read cover to cover, I think. But, in a nutshell it just spends a lot of pages telling you that to get good results from an AI prompt, you need to give detailed, specific instructions in your prompt.

I think it's a good reference book for someone who wants ideas on how to use AI in their business or for personal use, or even to try to make money from it. That's the reason I gave it four stars; I do believe it is useful information. However, there are dozens of books on this subject available right now, and I doubt any of them have different information, so if you've already read one of those, you may not want to bother with this one.

The Book About How to Learn AI

This book absolutely is one of the best books if you want to learn how to use AI, but you aren’t already a beginner. Most books teach people AI like they already now a lot of information about this topic, but this book taught it right from the beginner level. This is what made this book so good, and that was that it can teach anyone about AI not just experts. I enjoyed reading this book and I will suggest it many times to people so that they can learn about AI.
