Rebecca Chance was born in Hampstead to international art dealer parents, and grew up in the exclusive millionaire’s row surroundings of London’s St John’s Wood. Tiring of her cushioned, privileged existence, she ran away to Tuscany to live a wild bohemian life on a wine-making estate, where she lived in a 14th century villa in a Chianti vineyard, partying with artists, learning Italian, and picking grapes. But big city life was calling her, and after staying in Rome and Porto Ercole, she moved to Manhattan, lured by the glamorous single-girl existence and nonstop nightlife. She spent a decade living the Sex and The City dream in SoHo, equally at home in an uptown penthouse on Fifth Avenue overlooking the Metropolitan Museum, or downtown dancing on the bar of the Coyote Ugly for kicks. Eventually, a handsome American husband in tow, she moved back to London to settle down (as much as she can) and finally fictionalize some of her most exciting and glamorous experiences into her bestselling blockbuster novels.
Rebecca’s interests include trapeze, pole-dancing, watching "America’s Next Top Model", and cocktail-drinking.

Okay so my not so guilty pleasure is reading the books of this amazing woman, Rebecca Chance. When she followed me on Twitter we had some fantastic conversations and I promised I would read this book ASAP. I eventually got round to reading it over the past few days and I LOVED it.

I'm going to admit that the subject didn't really excite me, weddings and brides aren't something I would ordinarily choose to read about but I knew I couldn't not read it if Rebecca's previous books are anything to go by. She writes the most fabulously outrageous characters and comes up with some even more outrageous plots for her characters to get involved in. I did find it a bit hard to get into, however after about 80 or so pages I was hooked!

Bad Brides opens with the editor of Style magazine Jodie Raeburn getting all hot under the collar about a 2cm girth. Not all that impressive until you realise it's magazine girth where that is particularly impressive. Jodie is about to announce the magazine's first ever cover star, Milly Gamble or Brianna Jade. And then we go back in time to meet these two girls and read all about their battle to be the first cover stars of the magazine.

I'm just going to say it, I did really like Milly in the opening chapters. For me I do just love to read about the bitchy characters or the spoilt characters. In previous books Rebecca's spoilt little rich kid characters have been some of my favourites, they are born into it and are grown up being given everything they could possibly want and so they don't know any better than to demand and expect the world. They are also really fun to read about and not that hard to imagine existing because they DO exist! On the other hand you have Brianna Jade (or BJ?!) and her mother Tamra who have fought (or in Tamra's case slept) their way to the top. I really liked Brianna although in the beginning I found her a bit too sweet.

The sex scenes in this book are some of Rebecca's steamiest and most explicit yet. Prudes and those who would need to blow the cobwebs away before getting down to it should steer way clear of this book. I read a 1 star review comparing it to porn, err yes it's a Rebecca Chance book and half the reason we read them. One particularly explicit scene featured Brianna's mum, described as the ultimate MILF, Tamra (or, the Fracking Queen). I loved this woman, she has literally fucked people to death in her quest for a better life for her and her daughter. Underneath it all exists a really close mother and daughter bond and I loved reading about these two characters who had come from nothing. Rebecca is extremely descriptive in everything she is talking about, whether that be genitalia or simple things like the objects in a room. She really creates vivid pictures in my mind!

What I love about Rebecca's books is they can be read standalone but her characters exist in the same world. So there are mentions of previous characters here, including a certain gay footballer who is now married and the fabulous Victoria Glossop who I loved in Killer Heels, think Wilhelmina Slater. I would say though that Rebecca's books are best read in order as even though previous characters are mentioned they are talked about in a way which could potentially give away the plots of previous books. I loved this book overall and can't recommend it enough, the last few chapters and indeed a lot of the book were shocking and I couldn't read quick enough but I wouldn't expect anything less from this author. Complete and utter filth in the best possible way. I'm yet to see anyone reading a Rebecca Chance book in public but I would applaud anyone who does!

I now only have Killer Queens to read and it'll then be a long wait for Rebecca's next book which I am sure will be as fantastic as all her others and I for one cannot wait.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would enjoy Bad Brides as much as I did. I don't know why, but I absolutely freaking' LOVED this and I now want to read all of Rebecca Chance's previous books to make up for lost time.

The plot of Bad Brides was incredibly easy to follow. Rebecca wrote smoothly, her sentences neatly strung together, and there were many moments within the story where my cheeks had no option but to blush. Now, I love a steamy novel, but this was just something else. Outrageously filthy, dirty scenarios and circumstances that caused my mouth to instantly drop open in shock. Honestly, Miss Chance does not hold back, and I absolutely loved it. Another thing that was apparent when I was reading Bad Brides was Rebecca's eye to detail. She brought the story to life in my mind and I was able to picture every single little thing that she wrote about. Character's outfits, their hair, their make-up, and then of course, the huge stately home that Brianna Jade finds herself in. I love it when authors highlight details. It's like a HD film playing in my head.

Rebecca's characters in Bad Brides were brilliant. Each of their personalities brought the story to life. Bitchiness, spitefulness, revenge and playing dirty. It was incredibly entertaining, a bit like watching a more grown up version of Mean Girls I suppose ;)

My favourite character, by far, was Brianna Jade. I absolutely adored the girl. A real American beauty with her curvaceous body and beautiful blonde hair, she seemed like the most down to earth one out of all them. Coming from a not-so-glitzy background, Brianna Jade found herself living in a huge, stately home with a man that she was prepared to learn to love. I felt so sorry for her at times. I didn't feel like there was a nasty bone in her body. She was easily led by her mother, and I found that she really didn't want to be there, living in such a massive home and about to be wed to man that she, in all honesty, didn't really know.

As much as I loved Tamra, Brianna's mother, I found her to be a little overbearing at times. I had tiny urges to place my hand over her mouth and say "Shh." Rebecca never forgot to solidify the fact that Tamra was absolutely stunning, goddess-like even. She was referred to as a MILF once or twice and she absolutely loved the attention. Tamra was incredibly glamorous and money meant nothing when it came to her daughter. Besides that, there was an amazing mother/daughter relationship between Tamra and her daughter, and it reminded me of my own mother and I. I got the feeling that it was Tamra and Brianna Jade against the world and it was adorable. Tamra was obviously steering the wheel of that ship though.

Brianna's wedding rival, Milly, was a complete and utter spoiled little brat! Urgh, she really ground my gears and I just couldn't stand her materialistic view of the world. Everything had to be about her, including her wedding. I felt so sorry for her significant other, Tarquin. He was besotted with Milly but quite rightly, as the blurb said, Milly was besotted with herself. She would do anything to gain a step on the career ladder, and I mean anything. I really disliked Milly. End of discussion.

There was a whole multitude of characters in Bad Brides - all glitzy and shiny and it made the whole story absolutely scandalous. It was bloody brilliant and I'm definitely up for reading more of Rebecca's books. It would be silly for me to rate Bad Brides by Rebecca Chance with anything less than five outta' five stars. An amazing novel that brought the how the other side live right to the forefront of my mind.

Jodie Raeburn, editor of the first ever issue of Style Bride, has a big task on her hands. She needs to determine who will be on the first cover. Will it be actress Milly who is getting married to musician Tarquin or Brianna, an American pageant winner how is getting married to the Count of Respers, Edmund? There is no better way then to let both couples know that they are in the running and then let them fight it out among themselves.

I've heard a few times that Rebecca is called by many the "Queen of the Bonkbuster". Until I started reading this book, I had no idea what a Bonkbuster actually is, but NOW I know... I started reading Bad Brides on a train, but as soon as I reached the part of the first quite graphically described sexual encounter I had to close the book (I swear the guy next to me was rather disappointed :-)). Bad Brides is definitely a book that is best read in the comfort of your own home!

I really enjoyed the unexpected and sometimes shocking plot twists and turns of the storyline and I thought the character development was done beautifully. Some of the characters I instantly liked at the beginning, "turned" into something I wouldn't have expected them to do so.

I loved the whole "competing about the bridal cover competition" theme. It made for some brilliant laughs, but also covered some picture perfect heart-melting moments.

Rebecca definitely isn't one to mince her words - a writing style I had to get used to in the beginning, but really enjoyed after a few chapters.

If you are looking for a slightly (ok - "slightly" is an understatement) naughty but nice read that covers aspects of glamour, glitz, drugs, blackmail, foul-play and so much more, Bad Brides is the right choice for you.

This is a book for Mature Audiences if it was a TV show it would be TVMA LS if it was a movie it would probably be XXX. Now I know the author is famous for her “bonk busters” and I have read enough of her books to be unsurprised by the sex but this book goes beyond any of her others. And if you grab the Kindle sample it really doesn't hint at how explicit this book is.

My other disappointment is with the characters. In other books by this author there is character development. This book utilizes characters from the previous books, Killer Queens & Killer Heels. The new characters are Tamara, the Fracking Queen and Milly the actress.

Tamara and her daughter BJ have come to the UK following in the footsteps of the “Million dollar American Princesses” to snag a down and out aristocrat. BJ is one of the titular Brides but the story is really about Tamara. Tamara befriends Lady Margaret from Killer Queens bringing the royals and hangers on from that book. Milly is an British actress who is marrying a British pop star; while her 'friend' and assistant fights unrequited love for the groom-to-be.

The plot further centers around the competition to be Style Bride's Bride of the Year. Allowing the integration of characters from Killer Heels . All of this is wrapped around sex scenes that would make Penthouse letter writers blush.

Haven't read anything by this author before, I feel like if I had I'd know what to expect.

I can see that people enjoyed this book but for me, nothing really happened. Honestly I felt it was mostly sex scenes and very little story.

Hello my name is Zarina and I am a Chanceholic... I have a serious addiction to Rebecca Chance's novels and even though I just turned the final page of Bad Brides, I'm already craving more of the delightfully scandalous and glitz and glamour world of her books. She always manages to combine the most outrageous scenarios and deliciously saucy scenes with well-written characters and a continuously intriguing storyline so the over the top plots suddenly read like a very real possibility. In this novel she tackles weddings, but instead of going for the obvious Bridezillas (although there is one of those) and notorious My Big Fat Greek Wedding scenarios, it's actually some of the people surrounding the soon to be husbands and wives that surface as the most colourful characters of them all.

I won't go into detail as to not spoil some of the more interesting romantic twist and turns the story takes along the way, but the very short summary is that Style UK is launching a wedding magazine and two of the hottest young couples - one consistent of a beautiful starlet and the front man of a popular folk-rock band, the other of an American model and a British Earl - are up for the much-coveted cover. To gain extra publicity around the first edition both couples are told they're in the running and what follows is a more often than not dirty competition between the two, which makes it evident that some people (read: Milly) are willing to do anything to get what they want.

After tackling the royals in Killer Queens I wasn't sure how Rebecca Chance could top that world of luxury, but she managed to do so with the introduction of 'The Fracking Queen', who probably has more money to throw around than the entire British royal family together. The very lavish lifestyle of the main characters was described into detail, making their astonishing wealth practically leapt of the pages in a flurry of scrumptious cocktails and delectable canapés. Despite some of the characters being hideously spoiled and entitled as a result, it did all sound incredibly enticing and made me wish I have a few million pounds laying around so I too can take an impronto trip to the Italian countryside.

Of course it wouldn't be a Rebecca Chance novel if there weren't some really creative and steamy sex scenes written in, and there were plenty of those in this book as well. After each new novel I do start to wonder if there could possibly be any outlandish sexual preferences she hasn't covered yet, but once again she managed to outdo herself. Some of the scenes might make you blush when reading them on public transport but that doesn't make them any less brilliant - the ones involving Tamra were particularly eye-opening.

Compared to Chance's previous novels I was surprised by how genuinely nice most of the main characters were (save Milly, she's a selfish little brat with absolutely no redeeming qualities). Sure there was backstabbing and scheming going on in an attempt to gain that coveted Style Bride cover, but I didn't think the scenarios were quite as bad as in for instance Killer Queens - or perhaps I'm becoming a little bit more used to it all? Either way, it ensured the characters didn't become caricatures of themselves but instead remained reasonably realistic, which added to the fact that despite Chance's novels being mostly known as bonkbusters, they also consist of genuinely good writing and storytelling.

Bad Brides is scandalous, fabulous, sexy and most of all a lot of bonkers fun. It'll simultaneously make you want to join the inner-circle of the rich and famous, because their glamorous lifestyle sounds oh so tempting, and run away screaming from the terrible people it consists of. Perhaps the best option is to enjoy it all from a safe distance by reading about it in Rebecca Chance's books, rather than risking the wrath of the Milly's of the world.

Title: Bad Brides
Author: Rebecca Chance
Publisher: Simon & Schuster UK
Publication Date: 27th March 2014

Blurb
Good brides promise to obey.
Bad brides wouldn't dream of it… Milly Gamble is an up-and-coming actress, and the perfect English flower child. At 23, she's always been cast as the innocent heroine. But looks can deceive. Calculating and fiercely ambitious, Milly is determined to be the most famous star in England. And how better to achieve her goal than by dating Tarquin Ormond, lead singer of the biggest folk band of the moment? Tarquin is madly in love with Milly; Milly is only in love with herself.
Brianna Jade is an all-American pageant girl. The daughter of Tamra Maloney, a stunning billionairess, Brianna is a sweet, pretty girl who is more than happy to go along with her mother's ambitious plans for her. Now Tamra's brought her to the UK and hooked her up with an Earl. He has a crumbling stately home and needs a rich wife to help restore it to its former glory.
Tamra is as ambitious and determined as Brianna is sweet and innocent - is this more a case of mother-in-law-zilla than bridezilla? Both Milly and Brianna's upcoming weddings will be huge, lavish events that garner national press. But with the cover of the biggest magazine in the country to be won, things are about to get very dirty…

Verdict

* * * * * - "If the type of book your looking for has to be full of filth, cheekiness, feisty women, sex scenes with horny men then Bad Brides is the perfect book for you."

I am recently a new fan to Rebecca Chance's books and Bad Brides is the second book I have read by her,boy this book was even dirtier and more amazingly racy & cheeky.
You really will blush in public while reading!

We meet Milly Gamble and Brianna Jade two opposites completely, Milly is feisty, ambitious, selfish and wants to be the biggest star ever in England.
Brianna is the sweet American pageant girl who is a billionairess and is always happy to go along with her mum Tamra's plans for her.

The Queen of Bonk Buster is back once again! Huge fans of Rebecca Chance's books are going to love this just as much as the rest... Your going to love this book so much as the book is oozing with filth, sex, wedding scenes, obnoxious women, fit men and lots of champagne to go around..
I loved every minute of Bad Brides, I don't want to give too much away but you will giggle at most of the chapters but also gasp & blush at the amazingly detailed sex scenes...yes it wouldn't be a Rebecca Chance book if it didn't have plenty of sex scenes in the chapters! Bad Brides has been written perfectly and you really do get to know all the characters. I was hooked and couldn't stop reading this fab piece.

I urge everybody to pick up Bad Brides this year..why? because it is one of those cheeky reads you need while lying on a hot sandy beach on your holidays. I want to see lots of people have a copy of Bad Brides and brag about it for months about how dirty the book was but left you wanting more and more!

Review: this is such a fun idea for a book, two brides battling it out, not only to be the cover star of a magazine, but also to find their place in a higher class of society that they are used to. I enjoyed reading this book, I found it a little slow in parts but that didn't make me want to stop reading on. I think sometime the lack of pace that I found was due to the wonderful descriptions that this author included and I wouldn't have wanted those left out for the world-she describes everything from passionate sex scenes to the fabric on a new sofa, right down to the smell of rotting fish-there really are some vivid descriptions in this novel which I loved!

The two characters are fairly interesting, I found myself really loving the American Bride-Brianna Jade but really disliking the British bride-Milly. Brianna-Jade had some wonderful storylines and had a lot of common sense for someone so you, her fiancé I could take or leave, but I was really interested in her storyline and loved the ending that she got! Milly I thought was seriously spoilt and couldn't see what was plainly right in front of her nose. She clearly reminded me of selfish friends that I have and that is why I couldn't warm to her but she was still excellently written and had some seriously funny moments. Her fiancé, on the other hand, was rather lovely and I really loved the ending he got as well.

There were some very important secondary characters in this move, who all had fabulous storylines in their own rights. I loved Milly's assistant Eva, and BJ's mother Tamra. They were wonderfully strong female characters. There were those characters who were out to sabbotage everything as well of course which added that extra bit of drama! Then there was the pig farmer-oh the pig farmer. His scenes were truly spectacular and he'd definitely be the one I'd want my magazine cover with!

Which leads me on nicely to the sex scenes. As usual, Rebecca Chance has written some seriously hot sex scenes! The attention to detail is fabulous. The heat is off the scale and everyone gets a bit of a look in when it comes to the action, something which I think it truly democratic! There are scenes between men and women, men and men and women and women and all are very realistic, laid bare in front of you, so if you are of a sensitive disposition, maybe this book isn't for you! I loved them though!

Overall this book was an enjoyable read and definitely something to take your time over. It would be the perfect read for lazing on the beach in the summer, or taking with you on a long haul flight, or even on the dirty weekend in the countryside somewhere. It has likeable characters, characters you love to hot and enough passion to get you seriously hot under the collar. The ending is just perfect and I defy anyone to disagree with me on that front!

I've read every Rebecca Chance book and this did not disappoint, whilst my favourite is still Bad Girls, all the "Bad" books still have my heart over the "Killer" ones. My favourite thing to do in Rebecca Chance novels is to find any links to the last books, throwaway lines that tell me how my favourite couples are doing, there were so many in this book I could have cried, not all of my favourites but more than enough.

Honestly, the blurb tells the general plot so I'm just going to go over the main characters: Briana Jade, Tamra, Milly, Eva, Tarquin, Edmund.

Briana Jade, aka the sweetest girl in the entire world book. Very loyal to her mother. Their relationship was a gift and I'm so glad it existed. Brianna Jade isn't as outgoing as her mum would prefer her to be, but because there's a genuine love there, her mum would never push her to do something that's she's not happy with. Sadly this means she's willing to do things that she may not want if she believes that it'll make her mum happy, whereas her mum feels the same
Tamra - I love a story of a self made woman, technically she's not as self made as I'd imagine some people would prefer but she did plan how to make her American business more accessible to British culture so that makes her a success story in my book. There's always one person that's into the super extreme "interesting" stuff in terms of sex and in this book I guess it's her. It definitely makes for a different read. If I had to describe her in one term it would be HBIC - Head Bitch In Charge.
Milly - omg, what a bitch, not even a bitch in charge. Generally a gross human being. I, along with like 90% of the population, can't stand fake people and the fact that reading in her point of view feels like immersing myself in venom. Although venom would probably be less poisonous. She's super fame hungry and not in the way that past Chance characters can make endearing.
Eva - a sweet character, a lot of her character however is being in love with Tarquin so a lot of her character kind of isn't developed but she seems like a nice enough character and her and Tarquin were intellectually matched which is nice.
Tarquin - a musician which is kind of cool I guess. He's very fanciful and at one point Eva notes that maybe he likes Milly cos they're aesthetically similar which is a shame. Like I mentioned with Eva, he seems to actually be quite the intellectual and they have some really cool conversations.
Edmund - the Earl that Brianna Jade is engaged to. He's quite a strong willed man but is willing to go along with things that don't particularly bother him. Again, he's nice. Everyone in this book is nice.
Recommend to: fans of chick lit, fans of erotic novels, 20-30 year olds

If you are looking for a novel that’s a bit naughty but full of fun and frolics then look no further – Bad Brides has it in spades.
When Jodie, editor of Style UK decides to launch Style Bride she wants THE best celebrity wedding to have pride (or bride?) of place on the coveted front cover. There are two contenders; the first is sweet American Brianna Jade, former pageant princess and daughter of the famous Fracking Queen, Tamra, who has arranged her daughter’s wedding to the Earl of Respers in return for a huge cash injection into restoring his stately home. Then there is up and coming actress Milly Gamble, engaged to Tarquin, singer of a popular folk-rock band, who will do anything to get what she wants.
With Tamra running the show for Brianna, planning the most exclusive and tastefully expensive wedding ever seen at Stanclere Hall and Milly hiring wedding planner of the moment Ludo for a hippy-flower-child-vintage-look wedding, the competition is on. But with Brianna preferring to spend time with the pigs rather than with her future husband and Tamra suddenly running shy of the Earl, not to mention Milly being too busy trying to become famous to actually arrange her own wedding and stopping at nothing to get her own way in all areas of her life, will either actually grace the cover of Style Bride?
There are star crossed lovers, mishaps and all sorts of shenanigans to whet your appetite in this novel in the build up to what should be the greatest wedding ever to grace the cover of a magazine. From the bitchy self-centred Milly to sweet Brianna, from the put-upon-best -friend to the fierce, proud, determined Tamra; from lustful Ludo who will never properly have the love of his life and the set in his ways Earl who learns some new tricks the characters are larger than life and full of traits and idiosyncrasies that will have you laughing out loud, tutting in horror and quite possibly needing to cool off a little....
I found this an extremely amusing read which kept me riveted to the characters and the goings-on. Although it was easy to see where it was going and the ending no particular surprise the attention to detail of each character and the fluency of the storyline absolutely made the novel the excellent read it is. There were some quite surprisingly saucy bits to the novel (this is the first book by Rebecca Chance I have read and I am told part of her charm as writer and....she does do them exceedingly well!) as well as more tender moments – perfect for a soppy old romantic - and cram packed full of humour and wit that made it quite simply a really rollicking, rumbustious read.

"Forgive me Father for I have sinned. I am a fully-fledged Chancer, I really enjoy Rebecca Chance's steamy sex scenes". Sorry, I had to get that out. Yes, I am a Chancer! PROUD TO BE ONE! Okay, in case you don't know, the term "Chancer" is for people who love what Rebecca Chance writes. Gosh, we're talking about the Queen of Bonkbuster here. No one can write a naughty, steamy sex scene like Rebecca Chance (also known as Mother Chancer).

The Queen of Bonkbuster is back this year with a sizzling, hot new read, Bad Brides! It centres around two female characters, Milly Gamble, a ruthless, selfish and highly ambitious (fame-seeking) up-and-coming actress who will stop at nothing to achieve the perfect wedding for the coveted spot on the cover of Style Bride, and Brianna Jade, an sweet and unassuming ex-beauty pageant from the States, now engaged to an Earl, but does Brianna have a say in what she wants when her mother, Tamra has her daughter's future in her claws hands?

Sigh. Another Rebecca Chance bonkbuster down, a few more left for me to read. I always look forward to reading Rebecca's steamy sex scenes and awfully impossible sexual encounters. Okay, I shouldn't give much away but seriously, I dare you not to blush, giggle and gasp when you read Bad Brides! I dare you! It's a sublime Rebecca Chance bonkbuster and I bet her readers will rejoice with the fact that there will be cameo appearances by characters from her previous books! Keep a look out, guys!

What can I say about Bad Brides to persuade you to NOT get it? I mean, it's your ideal summer read, it's meant to be read to entertain you! Bad Brides is simply enjoyable and scorching hot. I say "scorching" because the descriptions of the naughty scenes are quite graphic and it's really, really sensual. It's got bite, sass and the right amount of filth! I adore Rebecca Chance's books because of its sheer opulence and glamour. I love the glitz and glamour, the elegance of the lifestyle of the rich and famous. I'm a sucker for that. Ha! But guess I'm not the only one..

Bad Brides is highly provocative, awfully naughty but a very nice read. The perfect summer holiday companion where the words sizzle out of the pages. Highly entertaining, enticing and addictive, Rebecca Chance delivers another book which is as hot as the Mexican summer and deliciously tart as the champagne the characters guzzle down!

Thank you to Simon and Schuster UK and NetGalley for approving me for this ARC! I’ve been quite excited about reading more of Rebecca’s books since I read Killer Queens back in October last year and I have not been able to look at a banana the same way since!

This is the tale of two brides. Two brides in with a chance of becoming the first cover bride of new magazine Style Bride and with that massive opportunity at stake the fight to come out on top gets down right ferocious!
Milly is a social climber, she’s willing to do just about anything to get to the top which becomes apparent almost as soon as we meet her! She turns any situation into one that can boost her public image and she is willing to go the extra mile to be on the front cover of Style Bride. I took an instant dislike to her because of her selfish nature choosing instead to favour her best friend who is the total opposite of her!

Brianna Jade is new to the English society circuit and her scheming mother has managed to bag her an Earl, now it’s down to a team effort to make sure she comes out on top. I really liked Brianna Jade’s character, she was much more down to earth compared with Milly and that’s probably down to a little bit of naivety due to her American nationality.

The story is fast paced and packs a punch right from the start. You are thrown in at the deep end right into this rich people’s world and Rebecca makes it really easy to just immerse yourself in it. She eloquently writes about current fashions, living the high life and all the things that could possibly be going on behind the scenes in the celebrity world.

I’ve only read one of Rebecca’s books but I’m told that with each book you get to catch a glimpse of past characters and in this one we catch up with some of the characters from Killer Queens. The other thing about Rebecca’s novels is that they are well known for their bonkbusting story lines and this book certainly keeps in line with that! The sex scenes are steamy and passionate but not always starring who you would think!

I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of Rebecca’s work!

Can I just start by gushing over how much I LOVE Rebecca Chance? She is a TRULY amazing writer and I have thoroughly enjoyed every book of hers so far! Having recently got married in the last year I am all about weddings in books and so I was VERY excited to read Rebecca’s latest release.

Bad Brides tells the story of two brides, each with the opportunity to be the cover bride of the magazine Style Bride….but who will be on it? With the ladies determined to come out on top, and do whatever it takes, anything could happen and things are about to get very dirty….

I completely lost myself in this fantastic story, I read the entire book in one sitting. Rebecca’s writing is so addictive and she writes with such talent that you are sucked in from the very first page. The pace is fast and fiery and before I knew it I was turning the last page. The characters are brilliant, each had their own distinct personality and ‘voice’ and oh they are all vibrant in their own ways! Brianna Jade was my favourite, I loved everything about her! I really enjoyed reading about her story and I was gripped wanting to know what would happen on her journey!

The sex scenes are steamy… and I mean steamy in the sense that you will need a bucket of cold water thrown over you to cool down! Too much? Okay, a good cocktail in your hand then! To say it is hot would be an understatement – there is a definite reason Rebecca chance is known for her bonkbusters and sex scenes…wow.

Bad Brides is flirty, it is feisty, and it brings glamour, sex and bridezillas together into one brilliant book! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m already looking forward to Rebecca’s next one!

Firstly I’d like to thank ed pr for sending me this book to read and give an honest review. I’ve enjoyed previous books by this author (reviews on my blog) so I was looking forward to getting stuck in to this one.

The character introductions at the beginning of the book gave me a very clear impression of what their personalities were like. The two sets of couples and the people who surrounded them were all very interesting although for some reason I found myself more drawn to Brianna Jade and Edmund. I could tell early on that it was going to be an eventful read and boy was I right!

The appearance of characters from Rebecca’s previous books gave Bad Brides a familiar edge, I always enjoy catching up with old characters because it makes me feel like I’m meeting up with old friends. Out of all the new characters, it was Abel the pig farmer who piqued my interest the most. He was a quiet, mysterious type who I just wanted to know more about.

There was also a darker side to the storyline involving bribery, lies and manipulation. This was something that I particularly enjoyed because it surprised me, I gasped out loud in shock on quite a few of these darker occasions.

Certain twists towards the end hinted at the direction in which the storyline was headed and by the time I got to the last few chapters I had a fairly good idea how things were going to turn out.

As always with books from this author, there were some very steamy moments and scenes involving drug use so if this is likely to offend you then it probably isn’t a book for you.

Bad Brides is full of glamorous characters and naughtiness, a classic Rebecca Chance book!

I love Chance's books, ever since I stumbled upon Bad Girls, I've read each one I can find. Rebecca Chance writes books that are fun, flirty and a pure frivolous, escapist read that can perk up a day, or be a perfect beach read.

Bad Brides is no exception to the rule. The premise is pure fun, two brides to be, battling it out to be the Style bride of the year, one with a scheming mother who takes no prisoners, the other with an ego the size of the UK. I love how Chance always picks characters that normally we'd only read about, and gives us a glimpse in to their life so realistically. This time we get the lead singer of a band, an actress, an Earl and an heiress, and each is portrayed realistically, and believably.

I found myself totally engaged in the characters, I hated Milly, and I surprisingly found myself liking Brianna even though I thought I'd hate her and love Milly. It was a bit slow in places, but the drama made up for it, with plenty of action, and backstabbing and "OMG" moments to keep you avidly reading until the end.

Each of the secondary characters where written wonderfully and could stand on their own with their own stories and backgrounds, which where all as interesting as the last. The book was an enjoyable read, perfect for any setting!

I love a good bonk buster and this is more than a good bonk buster. You know with a Rebecca Chance book that you are getting over the top escapism that at times is down right filth...wish she could write quicker!

So with Bad Brides we have two brides competing for the cover of Style Bride. Ex beauty Pageant queen Brianna Jade (BJ to her friends!) who has relocated from America with her mum to marry English Earl, Edmund (who is definitely the type of man who would usea penis beaker #justsayin). Then we have the thoroughly irritating actress Milly marrying the folk music star Tarquin. who will win the coveted cover? Or will any of these couples 'consciously uncouple' before they even say I do?

Love that there are cameo appearances from characters in Killer Queens and Killer Heels and whilst there isn't a 'banana moment' like in killer queens there is definitely a hilariously case of mistaken identity that is just #awkward.

Love it!

I am a fan of Rebecca Chance’s books, so was I very excited to receive an early copy of her new book. What I love about Rebecca's books is the cast of characters in each book are always so vibrant and hilarious and the world she creates so glitzy glamorous and entertaining.

Bad Brides didn't disappoint me, once I picked it up I couldn't put down. A fabulous cast of characters once again and a brilliant well written story line, I especially loved reading about Tamra Maloney the Fracking Queen. I was also delighted that some great characters from previous novels were involved in this story.
Bad Brides is thrilling, saucy and funny and I recommend it to anyone who wants something better and more exciting than the usual girly chick-lit. It's a naughty and racy read and if you are a fan of this genre this will definitely keep you entertained. Highly recommended.

Couture fashion and killer heels. Huge Diamonds and Eco friendly jewellery. Pigs, mud and bespoke designer wedding dresses. Wild flowers in vintage teapots, twister, cocktails, blackmail, weddings, and hard anal sex with your son in law.

I Can't express how much I love this book. I don't think I've ever read anything with everything in it. ChickLit to BonkBuster to Contemporary to Cliche to Romance to Erotica, EVERYTHING! It's absolutely fantastic.

it's a woman's fictional orgasm.

I really wanted to like this but I just found all the gratuitous sex scenes annoying (and wasn't actually expecting them either). I didn't find that they actually added anything to the plot - maybe if I'd gotten further in they would have. I'm no prude (hello Laurell K Hamilton novels) but I find that if they don't seem to further the plot I find explicit, detailed chapter-long sex scenes vaguely uncomfortable and really annoying.

Okay so I love Rebecca Chance and her books but there is a area of predictability to her stories. Characters start with one person and then they spilt and end up with someone else.

It was nice to see former characters and to read about Jodie and see Princess Sophie again.

Hope the next one won't be predictable with characters swapping partners.

My first Chance book, initially I had my doubts over it. She does describe some things like garden and dresses and almost everything to the tiny details. However once I accepted that as an writing style , the story took over. Absolutely delightful read. I was almost sad to finish the book. Love it :)

I wasn't sure about this as I judged the book by the cover. However, I suspended my disbelief and got swept along with the story. Well created characters, maybe a touch too much scene setting for me and some great little twists. I did see the ending coming (pardon the pun) but was very glad to see one particular couple weather the storm.

Oh my days the sex scenes in this were amazingly raunchy. Chapter six had my blood pounding but at the same time I was more than a little embarrassed to be caught reading such filth.
As for who will be Style Bride's cover girl, that was a totally obvious one. I knew from the first chapters with each couple roughly what would happen.
Still this is worth a read.

I really enjoyed reading this book. There was fantastic humour, excellent character development and character traits that are not always present in books. I would defiantly recommend this book for a interesting and great summer read.

I did enjoy most of this book although I found some parts slightly boring and felt they weren't really needed for the story. The ending was also very predictable. Still however an enjoyable book and I shall look out for more by Rebecca Chance

bride sills on steroids

I have read all of the books in the series, and this is one of my favorites. I love how she weaves her characters in book after book. I look forward to the next one.
