His justice is personal. His verdict is death.

For twenty-two years, Special Agent Genevieve Steel has fought to outrun her father’s shadow, to become everything he wasn’t. But her last case forced her face-to-face with a man who worshipped the Head Hunter, a disciple determined to finish what Carter Blackburn began. And in stopping the copycat, Genevieve discovered a truth she can’t escape...

She’s more like her father than she ever wanted to believe.

When a sadistic killer attacks a family man, forcing him to watch the execution of his wife and baby before leaving him alive, Genevieve recognizes it as more than random violence. It’s punishment. A sentence carried out with deliberate cruelty.

And when another family is targeted, a disturbing pattern emerges—husbands forced to watch as their families are destroyed, fathers left broken in the aftermath. The message is clear...someone has appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner.

The killer is out there somewhere, planning his next trial. Selecting his next victim. And unless Genevieve can outmaneuver him, another family will be condemned.

The Daughter’s Sins is the chilling second book in the Genevieve Steel series, where love becomes leverage, families are the battleground, and a father’s failure can be a death sentence.

When a wife and son are murdered in their home and the father is forced to watch the FBI agents Genevieve and Hudson are brought in to investigate. They just begin the investigation when another very similar murder takes place. The race is on to apprehend the responsible parties. The common denominator is a local worksight, but how an it be connected? This book keeps you guessing till the end. The next in the series can’t come out fast enough!

Agent Genevieve Steel and Agent Hudson Callaway get called to a case a brutal family annihilation. The killer ties down a husband and wife and traps a 14 month old in a high chair. The killer shoots the wife and then the 14 month old and makes the father watch it all and keeps him alive to suffer. It's a disturbing case that hits all law enforcement hard. The problem is it isn't a random act. The killer does it again and again. As the Agents work against time before another family is targeted it hits them both hard. Who is doing this and why? This novel is well written and very good. It makes you feel every emotion the human mind can feel. This novel and series is very good. If you like murder mysteries this is one you really want to read.

I read this book as part of an ARC team. What does it take to destroy a person's sanity? Is it finding out your father is a serial killer? Is it losing your wife and child to an automobile accident because you neglected to fix the tires? Is it watching a mad man shoot your wife and your 14-month-old baby just to torture you. These are unimaginable things to happen. But all these things are in this book. And it is up to FBI agents Genevieve Steel and Hudson Callaway to solve this question before more people die. Both these agents carry their own baggage and that's an interesting back story to what they are facing. There's emphasis on the fact that agents face horror on a daily basis. Does it take its toll? How do they cope? Read this book and you may get a better understanding. Lots of twists and turns and even a few rabbit holes to follow. Good read.

FBI SA Gevevieve Steele and SA Hudson Callaway were the agents called out on a new case. The scene horrific, heartbreaking and leaving them questioning why?

A family annihilation is the case they were working now. Who would go into a home, murder the family while the father tied up, weaping and screaming for help that didn't come, had to watch his family dead in their chairs. The innocence gone and a crazed killer in the run, what is going to happen next?

The Daughter's Sins by Mary Stone and Angela Kay broke my heart. I know it's a book, a story, but when a writer can pull you in to the point you feel you are right there with them, you can be broken.

I loved this book, love the new Series with FBI SA Genevieve Steele. I recommend the book highly.

Genevieve is still trying to put the last case, the copycat killer copying her father's horrific crimes, behind her when she and Hudson are called to investigate the murder of a wife and child while the father was tied up and forced to watch their killings. Before they can grasp this situation, a very similar murder takes place. From the few clues and beliefs of those left alive, they are chasing the ex of the first victim. But when it turns out he is not the killer, they have to start over. Through several interviews and good investigative work, they finally are on the hunt for the true killer, but can they get to him before he makes his final killing? A great read, as always, by Ms. Stone.

Guinevere and Hudson are called into a case no one wants to be at - a family destroyed by a madman. Someone is targeting workers at Tillman Construction. They’ve targeted one family man, killing their wife & child leaving them alive and broken. But why? Before they the team can even get started the go after another family. They’re in a mad rush to discover the perp and stop them before they continue to spiral out of control. Mary’s done it again. Intriguing & fast paced.

Special Agent Genevieve Steel is trying to suppress her past of her serial killer father to bring justice to others. She & her partner are called to a horrific scene of a mother & son killed, leaving the father alive. Before they can fully investigate, another similar murder happens. Can they solve this before any other murders? Can her past help or hinder her in the investigation? A fast paced read that won’t disappoint!.

Genevieve and Hudson are brought in to investigate a case where a mother and her very young son are murdered and the father is left seriously wounded and beaten. When it happens a second time, the crimes appear to have a link to a construction company.

The book is full of mystery and suspense and I can hardly wait for the next book.

Finding her inner self

This is the second book in her series. Genevieve always finds herself in a situation that makes her remember what her father did. This book is about 1 man lost everything and try to teach other man how they don't appreciate their fathers a weird and sadistic way.

Great book

Love this new series. A crazed killer going after families making the husband watch while he kills the family. Twists and turns down one road only to find its not the right person. Who could be so cruel. Great mystery and the new series just gets better.

If they would quit chewing their cheek or lip, putting their hair behind their ears, and dealing with bile every other minute, it would be a great book. There are other ways to say these things other than the chewing their cheek (who does that?!?) All Mary Stone's books have their characters doing this a million times.
