Aitana

I come to Brimlake College hoping for a clean slate, and then I get assigned as the hockey team’s assistant. Worst part?
It’s not optional.

And neither is dealing with Ryker Greenwood—the arrogant, cruel, and brutally focused captain of the team.

He makes it clear from day one that I shouldn’t be here and that he’ll do whatever it takes to remind me.

But the more I’m around him, the more I see the cracks beneath the surface. His eyes always linger, and he’s everywhere I go.

Always watching me as if he believes I belong to him.

I don’t know what I did to make him hate me, but I’m starting to think his obsession has nothing to do with my job… and everything to do with me.

Ryker

She doesn’t remember that night.

She doesn’t remember me.

But I’ve never forgotten her.

And now that she’s here, I’m going to make sure she remembers everything, even if I have to break her to do it.

This is a standalone dark hockey bully romance.

OK, I don’t know if it was just me, but this plot was just so unbelievable. Don’t act like any of the characters in this book and you’ll honestly find yourself a healthy relationship. The girl just got out of a toxic, abusive relationship and clearly learned nothing from it because she’s immediately attracted to the next guy that starts tormenting her.

This girl was dumb as a bag of rocks.
-She does not tell anyone about her abusive ex including her parents.
-MMC bullies her but she doesn’t report him and has sex with him instead.
-Thinks someone is following her but doesn’t run or go to campus police because then the stalker will know that she knows she’s being followed. Bahahah
-MMC and another girl drug the FMC to try and manipulate a confession out of her. Does she get at Ryker? Nope.
-After she discovers the revenge plan from the dead ex’s sister does she tell an adult? No way! She comes up with her own plan to catch her in a confession which only leads to Ryker getting stabbed. 🔪🔪

Ryker and Aitana decide they are both messed up and want to be dysfunctional together.

The end! 🫠

I was instantly drawn into what's haunting Aitana and how it's tied to Ryker. Aitana and Ryker are fast enemies and he's determined to make her life hell. Ryker is mysterious, morally gray, and pushing the boundaries at every turn. Aitana is cautious and guarded, but drawn to him. This is a twisted game of cat and mouse that keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing till the very end-with a sizzling payoff!
