‘Bound not by blood but loyalty. We live, we ride, and we die by our own laws’
For so many years she’s been off limits. My best friend’s little sister. A woman I swore to him I would protect. Now that we’ve lost him, I take that role very seriously.
Alicia Peterson is strong. She’s incredibly beautiful And she’s carrying a dead man's child. She needs my support now more than ever…
I want to be the man she needs. I want to be the man she wants. But I’ve learned the hard way that my love is a curse. And I’m not the only club brother who wants to claim her…
Vike is book 5 in the Dirty Soul Long Beach series. It is recommended that you read the other books before this one to avoid spoilers
Emma Creed lives in England and enjoys behaving like the perfect princess to her extremely tolerable husband all whilst raising 3 boys and a mini princess in the making. When she isn’t entertaining the voices in her head, she spends her free time with a glass of white wine and a good book. Emma has been an avid reader since she was a little girl and with a little encouragement to take the leap into writing, she discovered that she loved it. When she isn’t locked in her writing cave making up stories she can be found chatting on social media and wasting hours scrolling through Tik Toc.
I absolutely loved Vike. He's everything that I wanted him to be. I blew through the pages so fast, I could not put it down, it was a one sitting read because once I was locked in, I wasn't moving for anything. The rollercoaster of emotions this book took me on, when I tell you I balled my eyes out...it wasn't pretty, the devastation gut punched me HARD. On the flip side the rage that I also felt throughout was so close to the surface I could taste it. I love it when I'm so invested in a story the emotions leave me raw. Another blinder of a story. I'm so excited for what's to come 😍
The happy ending could be in sight…if only someone wasn’t playing their own game to claim what he thinks is his!
Vike & Alicia have danced around each other for months now, the temptation is becoming hard to resist and every member can see it happening…but, will they finally fall into each other's arms?
My heart pines for a man who’s miles away and doesn’t want me.
I enjoyed reading Vike & Alicia’s story! You are crossing your fingers that everything you hope does come true. Greaser is certainly pushing himself into Alicia's life more as the pregnancy of his nephew is close to the due date and wanting to become more to her life.
However, Vike is on the ball that all is not as it seems and like a knight riding his bike he may be the one to save Alicia from a twisted fate. Will he finally claim his love for her though?
They both have demons in their past and you understand the slow-burn for them to accept their feelings for each other. But, once they do…they are both all in!
Alicia is the first of the ladies to be pregnant and Emma is a class act in writing births…this is no different and certainly christens the Long Beach club in style!
The on-going story with the Long Beach M.C continues! Throwing you a sharp turn that leaves you spiralling outta control!!!
Can the brothers rally together and overcome their latest hit?
Vike’s story had me on a roller coaster. I absolutely love his character, but I struggled a bit to really like Alicia. I had enjoyed her character up until we got into her head. This isn’t a negative on the book itself, it just reminds me of all the times we see red flags and just pretend we don’t- or when we run into the direction of the red flags. And I’m not talking “sexy, dark mmc” kind of red flags- I mean genuine red flags.
I found myself repeatedly getting frustrated with her- why she would put herself and her unborn baby in the kind of situations she did. And Vike… that man really tried to stay true to his feelings toward his deceased best friend, but dang. I think we were all screaming at these two to start TALKING and figure their stuff out!
That said, Emma threw in that twist that I was NOT ready for!! IYKYK. I literally read that part several times to be sure that I read it well- absolutely thought she would go a different direction and she COMPLETELY surprised me!
All in all- I enjoyed the book- even through the frustration and this particular FMC. I would absolutely read it again because I have a feeling it’s going to be vital for the ongoing story line and really gives us insight into who Vike and Alicia are as people. Will definitely be reading the next one- love this series!
I finished this book a few days ago now and it still has full occupancy in my head! No one can leave me angry, screaming, laughing, crying and so invested in a set of characters as Emma Creed and this book is one of her very best. This book had be hooked for the get go. This is the story of Vike and Alicia who have been friends for a while now and maybe they both want more. But there are so many complications, and neither are taking the jump into moving this forwards. Vike was friends with Saul, Alicias late brother and this is causing him to doubt himself as a suitable partner for Alicia. Enter Greaser, who is clearly sees Alicia and her baby as his to possess. I was so annoyed with Vike, he was trying to be honourable, but this let Greaser in. Alicia was also Alicia also is making bad choices, albeit for good reasons. Her judgment of others motives was so coloure4d by her situation and trying to do the right thing! In the background we have the other members of the MC and their lady loves and boy is there drama aplenty there! And when this situation spirals out of everyone’s control, can things ever be the same?
This book wrang every emotion from me and I cannot wait to see where Emma takes us next! Outstanding stuff!
I love Emma’s books. But this one was just not it for me. I felt like I wasn’t even reading one of her books. So there will be SPOILERS up ahead. Just a warning!!!
So the book lost me when the FMC started a relationship with another brother and was trying to force herself into it. It was so wrong. Messed up. She led him on. While in love with another brother! And pregnant with another brother baby. Like dang how many more brothers were gonna be in her mix?! Our MMC was weak!!! Wow he was so weak and he is a soul?!! Like what?! No way. These are not the souls I read in the past. I didn’t not like the story. Not our fmc or our MMC. This book was just weird. All around weird. Then the death of a brother!! The Pres st that?!!! No way. No way. Why?!! My heart broke for Peyton. Poor girl! I hope to get a book on her future.
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Trope: love triangle Angst: 😱😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
I'm always super excited when Emma Creed comes out with another story in her Dirty Souls series, they're one of my favorites! I was super excited for Vike, and while I have to admit I struggled a bit in the beginning of this one, it seemed to get through its bumps and delivered another another great chapter in the Soul story. Lots of club drama and plenty of twists and turns that kept me glued all the way to the end. If you've been a long time fan of Emma's, you know she doesn't mind shaking things up. And be prepared to be shooketh, lol.
I loved the lead in for Saint/Sinner's book and I'm super excited to see how it all plays out!
Wow, just wow! Juuust when you thought it was safe out here in these Emma Creed streets, she puts you into laughter, tears, fear, apprehension, makes you mean and mad, and let’s not forget notions of your book boyfriend somehow materializing right in front of you. Yeah, you get all of that and then more. Vike and Alicia and Greaser are in the triangle love affair, unrequited for some and required for others, but which is which? Then we’re still dealing with the Long Beach Reaper (ok, that’s my name for that person not Emma’s), but do we find out who it is? You HAVE to read to know! We also, get some nice surprise visits in this one, too, so be in the lookout. This book is explosive in all the best ways. Don’t pass this one up!
'Bound not by blood but loyalty. We live, we ride, and we die by our own laws' Its been a minute since we have visited Long Beach Chapter. The boys are still trying to clean up the mess left by the previous president. This is a standalone alon but I order to know the story you need to read the other books.do shoo. Back to the review. Emma never disappoints in her story telling and Vike is not exception. Get ready for another bumpy ride with the crew. Buckle up because you are not ready. Believe me. I confess I read in one seating and I was not disappointed. Grab your drink of choice we are headed to the beach for love and loyalty go hand and hand.
This series is amazing, and Vike is up there with the best stories. Be warned though—you will be hooked from the very beginning and find it difficult to put the book down.
Vike is an honourable and loyal man who tries his best to keep to his word. I will admit I did get a little testy and wanted to give him a push toward Alicia… more like a giant shove with a good shake of his shoulders to wake him up. 🤣 Mind you, Alicia needed one too. She is a strong character but not necessarily a good judge of character!
This is definitely a story that takes you on an emotional ride but it's so worth it. With an unpredictable plot twist, that is fantastic, this book is brilliant.
Vike by Emma Creed is an emotional MC romance filled with loyalty, grief, and forbidden love. Vike’s struggle between honouring his promise to protect his best friend’s sister and facing his true feelings for Alicia creates strong tension throughout the story.
Alicia is a strong yet vulnerable character as she deals with loss while preparing to raise a child, and the added club drama keeps the stakes high. While the miscommunication can be frustrating at times, it adds to the angst and emotional pull of the story.
Overall, an engaging read with plenty of heart, tension, and MC drama.
My heart rate was high the whole time reading this outstanding read .
Vike and Alicia relationship isn't easy, in fact it's complicated, throw in Greaser , and damn you've got your heart beating faster.
So much happens in this book you can't take your finger off the pulse . It's hard hitting , mind messing, and so well written you feel like you are living it alongside the characters.
Then BAM , you get hit by shock that only a Emma Creed book can deliver , and you know if you stand up at that time you will be staggering , because of what you've just read.
I received an advance review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and I am not influenced by anyone.
Vike and Alicia's story is finally here. I really love the series. This book however had my emotions all over the place. The world E.ma Creed creates in these books feel so real. More than once I have had my guts ripped out. There are happy moments too. The characters are what keep me coming back.
I definitely had my opinions on this love affair and more than once someone was on my list but there is always redemption. Vike had twists that I didn't see coming. The creed is Bound not by Blood but Loyalty. The group continues to be a favorit of mine.
Vike has wanted Alicia for a long time, only it’s complicated, not only is she his deceased best friends sister, but she is expecting Grillers baby and his brother Greaser wants to claim her and the baby too.
What a fantastic gripping page turner. Emma is never shy to write a story with drama, suspense, heartache, tension, twists and shocks and she packed this one with plenty.
I was hooked from the very first page and couldn’t put it down. There are so many suspicions and unanswered questions that has left me impatient for the next book in the series.
This was a fantastic, emotional read about loyalty, loss, and forbidden attraction.
Alicia is strong, beautiful, and carrying a dead man’s child, while her late brother’s best friend is determined to protect her. The chemistry between them is undeniable, but they’re both too stubborn to act on it, and their lack of communication leads to some impulsive choices.
The emotions ran deep, and just when I thought I knew where the story was going, a twist completely caught me off guard. Definitely keep tissues nearby.
Vike an Alicia's story was a punch in the gut, specially with how the book ended and how sad the chapter of Long Beach was. The first part was a bit meh, with them dancing around one another, and having them being manipulated by someone who isn't the brightest light in the room... I just don't understand how Alicia could allow herself to be that manipulated. Was it all grieve?
We're not closer to find "the bad guys", Tawk was almost an afterthought in this book and somehow, with Raze's death, it seems everyone is a bit lost. We felt Jimmer's death, but Raze's... Peyton's pain was our own.
If you have read any of Emma Creed’s books you will know what an emotional rollercoaster you will be on and how your heart will break and this book was no different to any of the others. I was stuck to my seat until I finished this book and even then I was glued to my seat as I had to let everything sink in. Vike and Alicia have a lot going on in their personal lives but there is also a lot going on in the club and it is explosive. I am so excited for what is still to come and I hope my heart will be safe because Emma Creed’s books always pull at the heart strings. Utterly amazing read!
This installment of the Dirty Souls, is an emotional rollercoaster, the blame cannot be laid on one person in the story. Vike has been in love with Alicia, his dead best friend’s little sister but does not cross any lines. Alice is pregnant with Greaser’s dead twin, and he is constantly coming around and Vike does not like it. There is so much drama in this story and plenty of twists. This is a tearjerker, grab the tissues. Even thought this is a standalone, I recommend reading the series in order for a greater impact.
This is a DNF for me. I just couldn’t deal with this storyline. Made it to 30% and despite hearing “we need to talk” numerous times, H & h were interrupted or were unable to find 5 mins to actually have this “talk”. And do not get me started on the h’s behaviour with the other guy. The misunderstandings and assumptions were all a bit juvenile and I could not sense a connection with any of the characters. I’ve enjoyed the author’s books for years but not so much anymore.

I shouldn't be surprised by Emma, but I definitely wasn't expecting this. I was not prepared for the bombshell that she dropped in this book. I have a love hate relationship with Emma's book, because I hate how fast I read them and love them because they are so freaking good. Vike and Alicia's story was full of angst and miscommunication, but they finally pulled it together. I cannot wait until the next book, because if the epilogue is anything to go by, it's going to be a doozy.
This one takes you on an emotional rollercoaster like no other. It's a lot more complicated given Vike's feelings for Alicia, but also Greaser. However, their relationship isn't even the hardest part of this story. The angst and pain is taken to another level with this one and while it's sad, it's also setting the rest of this series up for something absolutely wild. I don't want to go into it much because this is one of those ones that you just need to read and experience what's going on.
Holy moly what are you doing to us? I’ve never read a book so fast. Spent the first half yelling at Vike and Alicia to sort themselves out, then, midway, the shock of all shocks!!! Did not see that plot twist. Spent the last few chapters in a daze still can’t quite believe you did that to us!, Awesome read
5* Vike has feelings for Alicia but is trying to respect her brother Saul an mc brother who was killed. Alicia thinks she's made a mistake that is pushing Vike away. When Greaser returned to the mc Vike doesn't trust him at all but Alicia is trying to give him the benefit of the doubt as she's carrying his dead brothers child. A great story and a must read.
First this author killed it with this book. This book is jammed packed with every emotion there is. From excited to heartbreak to happy ending. I can’t say much because I don’t want to give anything away but believe me you have to read this book. I will say I wanted to hit both Vike and Alicia over the head a time or two but they redeemed themselves. There was definitely a few things that I did not see coming but that is all I’m going to say. This is a must read.
If you’re looking for brothers best friend, whose a biker and the sweet innocent sister who’ve loved each other for as long as they can remember have to jump through hoops and face more death than they should. Then this is a story that gives all that and more. This author ripped my heart out on this one
I read this in one setting and it's been a hot minute since a books done that for me 🥵🥵🥵 the spice was hot , 😭😭😭 the heart ache is real. I'm really looking forward to the next book 📖📖📖 it's the one I've been waiting for because I love my self a sinner and a saint
Well this was a rollercoaster of emotions Emma at her best doing her thing ( if you know you know ) loved Vike and Alicia’s story.I did want to kick his butt a few times and hurry him along but equally had a scream at Alicia as well . Great book brilliant read .
Ok this is an incredible read. Absolutely fantastic. However, this author really can bring out the emotions and I am not ok. A definite sign of a great read but Emma! Oh and of course I want the next book now.
I'm so happy for Vike and Alicia! After "secretly" pining for one another for years, they've finally confessed their feelings. Greaser and Iris are majorly disturbed and the surprise at the end . . .
Any emotion and feeling you ever had is wrapped up in this book. Get ready for the ride of your life. The Longbeach club are barely on their feet when the next disaster strikes. Not giving it away. Find out for yourself
