Damian Allport is a couples’ therapist. Three years ago, he inherited his grandfather’s case files, which contained records of patients involved in a secretive memory extraction program at a neurobank called Mnemosyne. Damian thought nothing of them until Amoura Wetton walked into his office. She had once been his grandfather's patient.
Amoura feels empty and suspects her husband, Arran, is cheating. But Damian knows the truth. Her mind had been wiped by Mnemosyne Bank, which was co-founded by Arran and a man named Levi, who is now Arran’s bitter enemy.
Damian’s obsession with Amoura festers. He tracks her every move and watches through surveillance as her husband takes her skin on skin, breath for breath. This enrages him. In a game of control to expose Arran, he begins sending her letters, posing as the sister, which leads her straight to Levi.
Suddenly, Damian is no longer in control when Levi kidnaps Amoura. Desperate to reclaim her, he is forced to team up with Arran to stop Levi before he rewrites Amoura’s mind. But when they arrive at the hidden facility, they uncover a truth about Amoura they never imagined.
Damian, Arran and Levi are shattered as Amoura is ready to play her final card.
CORRUPT ME GENTLY BY ANDREA A. FAULBORN. 5 ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨s. Absolutely banging cover. The warning for this book at the beginning 🤣🤪. This book took me by surprise and I really thought it was brilliant. Really gripping and I didn't want to put it down till I was finished. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's next by this author.
ARC REVIEW - Thank you, Andrea, for giving me the opportunity to read this mind-blowing book!
I don't even know what to begin with... This book was something totally new for me and I have never read something like this before.
First of all, it was my first book with 4 POVs and it was really interesting to read each character's POV and get into their mind and see their perspective. It was surprising at first when I saw it's written in 4 POVs, each POV written in 1st person, but made it even more interesting and captivating.
Then, the trope was entirely new and I don't think I've read or heard about a book with this trope - forced memory removal for those who wished to forget some painful memories. Tell me if you've heard of something like this before...
The spiciness was something else, too and I loved every bit of it - chef's kiss!
The combination of suspense, twists and spice made this book unique and brilliant. The descriptions for everything - the feelings of the characters, the places, each move they made - were devilishly good and I'm a sucker for good descriptions with metaphors, vivid imaginary and even the vulgar language. Everything was so damn good like nothing I've seen before!
For me, this was an entirely new, unique and incredible experience and hat's off to the author for delivering in such a brilliant way that it made me read even on my commute to-from work, in between tasks and in the lunch break.
It kept me hooked from the beginning until the very end and don't get me started on the twist from the end - I haven't seen it coming at all and it really shocked me, but I loved it nonetheless and in the last few pages, I was rooting for the main female character to get her revenge for all the trauma and pain she went through. I heard myself whispering "WTF?!" when I got to that point, so when a book makes you exclaim out loud, you know it's a damn good of a book!
With all of that being said, 5 freaking starts from the Universe to this gem of a book!!! I DEVOURED IT AND FREAKING LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!!!
Bows to the author for the delivery and creation of this, and please, DO MORE OF THIS!!! 😍👌🤩🤯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
Corrupt Me Gently is a dark, spicy cerebral psychological thriller laced with obsession, memory manipulation, and a dangerous triangle of power and desire. Damian Allport, a couples’ therapist, becomes dangerously fixated on his patient, Amoura Wetton, whose erased memories tie back to a secretive neurobank called Mnemosyne. Her husband, Arran, helped build the technology that wiped her mind, along with his now-rival Levi. As Damian spirals into voyeurism and deception, manipulating Amoura under a false identity, he unwittingly triggers a chain of events that leads to her kidnapping by Levi. To save her, Damian must join forces with the very man he tried to destroy. But as the past unravels, nothing, and no one, is what they seem...and Amoura’s final move redefines the entire game. Corrupt Me Gently delivers a powerful punch, with an unforgettable ending that leaves a lasting impression.
That said, the book carries an ambitious, multilayered plot that can at times be difficult to follow. With so many psychological threads, hidden agendas, and shifting alliances, some readers may find themselves needing to pause and untangle the web. The narrative is rich with potential, and it’s easy to imagine how some elements could have been more fully realized if the story were extended into a series. A longer format might have offered more space to explore each character’s past, the inner workings of Mnemosyne, and the tangled emotional core that drives them all.
Still, the characters are bold and multifaceted, the spice is definitely there, and the ending hits hard, flipping the narrative on its head with one final, devastating revelation.

ARC Review Pub Date: July 12th, 2025 4.5 Stars This is dark romance with psychological thriller vibes and there’s so much obsession and sexual tension and crave for control and it was just so great for me personally. Pretty spicy too 3.5🌶️ I really enjoyed this from beginning to end for sure! There is a lot of action as well which kept me entertained. Amoura believes that her sister has died when she doesn’t even have one and her memory is completely wiped and reprogrammed with false memories and her whole life has been lies pretty much. Levi is a guy she knew from her past and he pops up eventually and her husband Arran is a hitman with mafia adjacent things sprinkled through as well but mostly this focuses on the company that sells your memories and stuff. Very interesting! The ending was boss! We love a baddie in the end lol I also was hoping Amoura and her therapist Damien were gonna have some relations lol I enjoyed this and recommend so much.

Firstly, can we talk about this cover, oh my gosh it’s stunning! However that’s where the gushing end for me, I personally did not connect with this book. I felt like there were too many POV’s so I couldn’t dive into the story properly. There were characters that felt out of place like they were trying to build a picture but did not quite fit. I felt like the way some of the more intimate aspects were described or played out were definitely not to my liking, I’m pretty open minded but this just didn’t work for me personally. It just didn’t feel very cohesive in my opinion there were things that were not explained very well and overall left me with more questions than answers. I kind of see where it was aimed but for me it just missed the mark.
The begining kind of confused me with the club/bar scene with the whole gang thing but once I got passed that I was hooked. If you're looking for a book that'll have you making faces at your reading material this is it. I was silently screaming WTFFFFF the whole time. I loved Zaria and Arren and the duo that they are. I felt bad for Amoura only having her husband and her birthday party but Levi, man! Levi and Damian really were what topped it. Obsessive stalker is strong here but I'm here for it. I actually really liked this book and not for the smut, but for the creep and wtf moments. I will probably be getting the actual book soon, plus the cover is really cool.
