2.5 ⭐

My God Kilo was a friggin idiot. The conflict felt so contrived especially when everyone was telling him to just tell Mel about the issue. When Buck is giving advice you know you're in trouble.

It was great to see the previous couples but this was a miss for me. And the previewing of Sophi's book was clunky as hell.

So this book is supposed to follow Kilo and Mel’s love story… except it jumps a couple years ahead and we meet them already living together, expecting their first child. The problem? We don’t actually see them fall in love. Instead, it falls into the “marriage in trouble” trope—which already isn’t my fave—but the why made it worse: secret baby, duh duh dunnnnn. 🙄

We even get POV chapters from the BM (not Mel), and honestly… who cares what she’s thinking? That didn’t add anything for me. The climax was anticlimactic, and while we did get updates on the other two brothers, I didn’t love the wives feeling some type of way because their husbands kept sibling confidence. Like girl… you just got here.

All in all, it was an okay read, but it could have been so much more.

Kilo & Mel😍

The book I had been eagerly anticipating did not disappoint. Kilo and Mel's love story was filled with bumps, pain, and struggles, but when you are soulmates, all those obstacles pale compared to the love between you two. Although Kilo's past resurfaced and threw him off balance, Mel was there for him. She made sure he felt her hurt and pain, but she never gave up on him because she understood something crucial: if there was ever a question about his heart, she knew the answer. Buck's child, Benny, will need his book when the time comes. I know his story will be 🔥 with his wild self lol.

mehhhh

Idk about this one…..Kinda felt unnecessary and the scenes were so repetitive. There were was a point of view from everyone even thought they added nothing to the story. Idk it was just okay.

My highly anticipated book in the series…

The author did an amazing job incorporating the other couples in this book. For me, especially Stacks and Kasha!

But this book’s main focus was on Kilo and Mel. We met them in book 1 as an already established couple.

The interesting thing about this couple is the foundation and history of their relationship was mainly “off the pages”.

Even missing those moments, I was intrigued.

Granted, we had some insight & snapshot moments but nothing that had me emotionally invested yet.

As a reader, I love to see those intimate moments, internal dialogue, and tension at the start of a new relationship.

So I really wanted to see how the author wrote their love story. I wondered could she make me become emotionally invested in them.

Although she could have made this a book full of flashbacks to the start of their relationship, she didn’t.

She wrote them from present tense with very few flashbacks.

We see authors do this often with side characters but main characters…

She made a calculated gamble on her pen game that she could write their chemistry in such a way that you felt emotionally invested in the couple.

Oh boy was she right!

Their chemistry and foundation felt like a couple we’d intimately experienced from the beginning.

She strategically used their conflict to show their love, connection, and intimacy.

That’s not an easy thing to do and she did it flawlessly.

Pacing was on point.
Chemistry was amazing
Mel’s hormones had her freaked out🥵😩😂
Banter was top tier.

A big moment at the end that I didn’t quite understand why it was used (BM last scene) but it didn’t take away from the story.

Overall, highly recommend the series and thoroughly enjoyed this book.

*Bread-crumbing…I am hoping we get a story for Sophi and dare I say (Juke)

Tacarra really saved one of the most anticipated DeLuca brothers for this one, and Kilo's story was worth every second.
If There's A Question Of My Heart is more than a romance—it's a story about redemption, second chances, healing, and choosing love after life has tried to convince you that you don't deserve it.
Kilo had my whole heart. After everything he'd been through, watching him navigate life on the outside while trying to build something real with Mel was emotional in the best way. And Mel? She was exactly the kind of heroine he needed—strong, compassionate, and willing to see the man beyond his past.
What I loved most was that this wasn't just about falling in love. It was about trust, forgiveness, rebuilding, and proving that your past doesn't have to define your future. Tacarra gave us vulnerable moments, family bonds, heartfelt conversations, and a romance that felt earned every step of the way.
The DeLuca family continues to be one of my favorite fictional families, and every appearance from the brothers reminded me why I'm so attached to this series. By the time I reached the last page, I was smiling through tears.
If you love Black romance, second-chance love, emotionally mature characters, protective heroes, and stories that leave your heart full, don't miss this one. Kilo and Mel are officially one of my favorite DeLuca couples. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Patience, Pressure, & Not Tipping Crowns

Kilo’s story really did its big one. I already anticipated a mystery child, but the way it unfolded with all the drama, deceit, and layered tension kept me on my toes. The mess was messy, but it was worth it. What stood out the most was the brotherhood. These men stick together like glue, and that loyalty continues to be one of the strongest parts of this series.

Mel is hands down a real one. Her patience was unmatched because I was ready to crash out while flipping these pages. The way she handled Shayna without ever tipping her crown was peak grown-woman energy. No theatrics, no sloppiness, just pressure applied with poise.

Seeing Buck in his soft era was hilarious, but finally getting a glimpse of Kilo’s unhinged bloodline? That part ate. He’s always been quiet, calm, and collected, so watching that switch flip reminded me exactly where he comes from. It added depth and made his character hit harder.

This story reinforced that when something is worth it, you don’t walk away, you work through it. By the end, these characters truly won me over. Solid four stars, and now I’m already side-eyeing the next book because I need to see what Juke is about.

This book was a 3.5 for me. It was my least favorite of the book. After Kilo’s release from prison- he and Mel become engaged & expecting their 1st child. While awaiting their baby- a fling from Kilo’s past comes back with a secret she’s been hiding.

Shana has Kilo’s 9 year old daughter and he has no idea. She comes back after her parents die. However she thought she could just waltz back in and pickup where they left off. Wrong!!! She tells Kilo, Kilo tells his brothers, Buck nuts TF up! But he doesn’t tell Mel! Which is a major mistake. Mel knows that something is off with Kilo but she can’t get him to break.

I don’t know why he couldn’t hair tell her? It was before y’all. However drama follows and he almost loses her! Shana big head sees Mel in the mall and spills the beans. The brothers get in trouble for keeping the secret! Buc darn near was about to cry if Nic held the cookies!

Because Mel loves Kilo- she forgives him and accept his daughter! Shana and her brother plot on Kilo and end up going to meet their parents.

They Got The Happy Ending That They Deserved!! Mel knew Kilo in high school they used to talk then stopped He disappeared and got some prison time. After some years they got reacquainted. Been home and picking up like he never left. His ex came back waltzing back into his life with his daughter. That secretly causes conflict between the brothers households. Shayna knew that she was wrong for walking up on Mel like that. It was like she was trying to size her up. Seeing as if she was competition, only because she wanted Kilo back. She didn’t stand a chance. Plus to him it looks like she set up him for her brother. Setting him up makes Shayna looks guilty, that’s why she had to go. Now Kilo is happy with Mel his daughter and his son

If There's A Question Of My Heart: Book 3

I didn't think Kilo and Mel were going to make it, but as always, love always wins.

Kilo, quiet and always thinking, thought he had a handle on the situation with Shay. But like he told her and her brother, they could have asked. Instead, they tried to be shady and do underhanded shiggity. Look what that got them.

Kilo always wanted love, so if Mel had questions about his heart, she got her answer.

Truly enjoyed the DeLuca Saga. Buck is as crazy as the day is long. He has no filter, but he always has his brother's backs.

Great ending and very good read!!!!

Good as always

The Deluca brothers are a trip and a half. Buck will always keep it a buck and Stack will always bring baby brother humor. As always the banter is funny, the family is lowkey crazy and this one gave us insight into Kilo. Watching him & Thugga aka Mel work out secrets kept the drama turning in this family oriented novella. Bonus was the good dick down scenes and watching the family grow.

Control

Life has a way of realigning the structure we think that is in place. Secrets also can curve the roads from narrow to zigzag that weren’t noticed before. Although we think omitting certain aspects of history is protecting someone it may be the only thing that hurts them. Keeping the option of allowing someone the choice to leave or stay is the key destruction of relationships.

Enjoyable series 💯

The eldest Deluca has finally returned home. Kilo is reunited with his family, and most importantly, he and Mel can now begin their lives together. However, a figure from his past, harboring a secret, reappears. How will he respond? I am delighted for the couple, but I wonder if he will navigate this situation appropriately. The author has, once again, done a remarkable job with this series that can be read as a stand-alone also.

Decent quick series

Entertaining read. Well written series. The ending didn't sit too well with me. Shayna wasn't completely innocent but she didn't deserve that. Ugh poor Liberty, and she doesn't even know the truth. The sad part is even if they told her what happened I'm sure they would spin it in their favor. The DeLuca brothers are all definitely selfish but it makes for an interesting story

When You Think Something Is Free
Tacarra what a great read. When I say I love this family I do. Kilo was such a great older brother. I love how he was just like the others in wanting to protect those he loved. Unfortunately, he didn't do it correctly. It caused more drama than it was worth. It was such a good lesson learned on how to trust someone other than yourself in a sticky situation. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Good

The wrap up was good. Mel and Kilo got their HEA. I wanted to see Mel beat the crap outta Shayna but...eh. I also wanted to see Mel go off on Kilo especially after seeing Shayna at the mall. I'm surprised that we didn't read about how Shayna's absence was explained to Liberty. Buck and Stacks was still crazy in this story and I definitely appreciate it in this book. I just love a good series!

I wish Kilo had told Mel sooner but it all worked out for them

Franklin & Jameala

This book is great. I like how their story was. She held him down from the beginning and never faltered. The ex was delusional as hell. She thought she would come back after her parents were no longer here. I don't want to tell the story so please go cop the book.

love me some Kilo

I loved Kilo since book 1 and knew he was going to have me up late reading his story. Most books use sex to fix relationship problems w/o so much as communicating and i liked how this was totally opposite. Poor little liberty though .. i really wanted to get a little bit background of how she had been doing since .. well you know if you read it lol.

Never be prefect just present

Mel loved this man through so many chapters of his life. She felt him, he definitely tried to shield her from the pain of his past. Kilo just didn't realize that she could handle it. They loved each other enough though to push through.

Kuko was passing me off by not telling Mel what was going on even after everyone told him he better before someone else does and that's exactly what happened. Would have liked to know how his daughter reacted to her mother no longer around
