This book is a first book for the reader who has ever wondered, "What is philosophy all about?" In straightforward and plain language, with easily understood examples, Dan McCullough takes the reader gently up into the foothills of the world of philosophy, preparing that reader for the next steps in what might prove to be a lifetime of serious inquiry.
This book is fantastic! I took my philosophy classes with Dan McCullough at Cape Cod Community College, and I have to say that he was unquestionably one of the most influential college professors of my educational career.
The book itself is almost a collection of his lectures, arranged into easily-accessible chapters. It's written in the confident and funny style he uses to talk about these topics. I wholeheartedly recommend this book for anyone who wants an introduction to philosophy in a quick and easy read. Yayayay.
