Sherry Lewis is an award-winning, national bestselling author who writes across several genres. Along with her writing career, she has been teaching writing workshops for more than 20 years through Dancing on Coals Workshops for Fiction Writers.

In 1993 Sherry launched her mystery-writing career with the sale of her first three books in the Fred Vickery mystery series to Berkley Prime Crime. In early 1994 she sold her first romance to Harlequin Superromance, launching her career as a romance writer.

As Sammi Carter, she wrote the Candy Shop mystery series set in Paradise, Colorado and featuring Abby Shaw. As Jacklyn Brady she wrote the Piece of Cake mystery series set in New Orleans, featuring cake artist Rita Lucero.

Originally from Montana, Sherry spent several years living at the base of Utah's Wasatch Mountains. She now lives a block from the beach along Florida's Emerald Coast. It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

I like Fred Vickery & love his septuagenarian sassiness, his confidence abounds & he gets the answers to his intrusive questions from the most surprising people. I don't think this is realistic because most of these people don't know him & I imagine they're more likely to tell him where to get off - I certainly would have. His niece on the other hand seemed determined not to tell him anything, the stupid cow. Fred certainly gets himself in awkward & dangerous situations with his nosiness, but you'd love to have him on your side.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as No Place For Secrets but it was still a fun read.

Real page turner! Kept me guessing to the end. My only gripe is she didn't exhonorate Adam's character enough. He was a really good guy who was dealt a lousy hand by his wife who everyone gave a pass for her shocking behavior!!!!

I think this book floated into my house in a stack a friend picked up at a garage sale. She knows I like always having a few mysteries sitting around.

This is a satisfying story with the who-done-it suspicions flip-flopping among several possible love triangles and questions of fraud in a possible land grab.

The amateur sleuth is an old guy who is not the least bit like Miss Marple. That was fun for a change of pace.

I pretty basic murder mystery book except that the fictional town is based after my little town. I enjoyed reading it just to try to figure out the locations.
