Kylo’s trauma is so deep that not even his wife can penetrate his walls. Marriage is supposed to be forever until the towel is thrown in and ends in divorce. Yet in a Mob marriage, those same rules don’t apply. 4.75 stars of realness.

This author knows how to tell a story. I enjoyed this one, even the gruesome stuff had a purpose. Then the love and forgiveness between the couple were like a hot summer's rain. Kylo had so many issues, it was easy to see his history unfolding the way it did. Bria coming into his life was the right kind of medicine. The picture on the cover matched my vision for the beautiful ballerina depicted in the storyline. Overall, the story was a solid 4.75 stars.

Charae definitely saved the best for last, but whew the long, drawn-out back-and-forth family drama was EXHAUSTINGGGG. I also wasn’t a fan of how the whole Luco and Dough situation was handled. It took way too long to address, and I don’t enjoy when all the action is crammed into the last 10–20% of a book.

Yes, I’m glad the family healed, but I did not enjoy the Crown brothers’ angst. That whole beef could’ve been squashed with one real, heartfelt conversation. Meco was annoying and showed zero growth, your brother just went through something triggering and is trying to re-center, and you think now is the time to complain about feeling abandoned? You had your whole book to do that, bro. It felt like everyone was trying to out-pain Lo, and it got old fast.

I appreciated the challenge the main couple faced, and I’m not excusing Lo’s wrongdoings but let’s BFFR: Bri’s infidelity was the domino that kicked off the entire chain of events. So when the hospital scene came, it just fell flat. Girl really sat there letting her daddy talk wild to her husband while she feebly mumbled, “Stop, guys,” instead of defending him or clearing the room. Like yes, Bri did her one good deed, but this whole mess unfolded because of her.

Also, I find it outlandish when authors write these men as super killers, dangerous assassins and then they leave loose ends?? Be serious. That’s rule number one in Mafia Murder Man 101. I'm glad most things were resolved, but I do think the reader deserved either less or more of the Maddy and Durand drama, especially since they were in damn near every chapter. So you draw the line at snitching, but not child neglect? Okay.

And as for Mrs. Crown Sr. nah. She couldn’t have predicted what happened to Lo, but her favoritism, mistreatment, and performative antics were not something to laugh off. The whole family needed to see the lady. Period. If you like family drama with a side of romance (if you can call it that) then you’ll like this. Oh and I will say Lo was tearing miss girl up in the bedroom okay 🤭🤭

Yes! Yes! Yes! Lo and Bria’s story was a great time, mentally draining, but still a great time. Charae Lewis has created an amazing series that held me captive from the first page of book one! I already knew Lo was my favorite (because it’s well known that I love a troubled man) from brief interactions in the previous books so to finally have his story and to be able to really dive into his truth was everything!
Now, I’m usually not one for arranged marriages but Charae did her big one with this book. Bria was exactly what Lo needed although he fought it at every turn. I loved Bria because although she had her own issues going on she never truly gave up on Lo or helping him through his trauma. She made one huge move that took a turn and derailed her life for a hot second but Lo needed to be humbled. However, the crash out that commenced was seriously vengeful and hilarious and I was here for it!
These two definitely had their ups and downs. Lo got it right in the end and faced his demons while breaking my heart with every new discovery. Bria stood strong and faced her truths while possibly losing some people close to her, but sometimes those closest to you aren’t always for you! Charae ended this series in an excellent way and although I would love for this series go on forever Lo’s story was a great ending!

I was eagerly awaiting for this book to drop to understand why Lo didn’t deal with his family. While his backstory didn’t disappoint, I wasn’t a fan of Bria as Lo’s FMC. Lo had his flaws for sure but Bria was lying before the ink the dried on the marriage certificate. Out of all the brothers wives she was my least favorite and I think Lo deserved better than the spoiled, self serving, lying Bria.

Lo swallowed her whole

Layers after layers are layers...

I believe this was the conclusion of the Mob Love series and it was definitely an interesting ending. One thing about Charae Lewis is that her writing is unique and will throw you off, in a good way. It's not predictable. Can kind of guess story beats but either way something will surprise you. The sex is hot, with some good dominate scenes. Lo's love language is commanding you and telling you what to do.

This read was no different from Charae's patient writing style. It was refreshing how communication is used in this novel, how trauma was presented, also appreciated how dynamic the characters felt. Oftentimes the Ballerina/Gangster trope is a little bit fantastical and not well done, other authors clearly are writing for the trope without infusing real dynamic ballerina character/skills into the story. Here Bri-Bri being a Black ballerina possessed real plot and conflict moments. I liked Lo. He was a little gone in the head but it stemmed from his trauma and I also really liked how all characters evolved.

Arranged Mafia Marriage is such a well worn road but Charae makes it her own. Two characters trying to feel each other out. Two characters dancing around feelings and buried emotions. Two characters coming from different places of life. It took a lot to see Lo with zero emotional maturity and IQ come into his own because of the Bria's love, just as it was nice to see Bria harden up a little and stop believing in the facade and fairy tales.

The overarching theme in the story was lies, lies told to hide the truth and family facades. This story line has been percolating for at least 2 books. So my only downer is that the uncovering of Lo's backstory and foundational problems with his brothers it was a lot of meat on that bone. We just started to get some torn off when we get tot he climatic end. Although dramatic I really wanted to see more of the fallout and more of the healing. I wanted to see some reactions to hard truths not previously seen and shared. I just wanted a teeny bit more. Same for both sides of the family because Bria had some stuff that needed to be worked out with her fam as well.

✨Book Review✨
Whew, this one had me yelling at the pages in the best way!
Forever His Anchor is book three in Charae Lewis’ Mob Love series, and it follows Bria Harvey, daughter of a mafia boss, as she’s pushed into an arranged marriage—just like her sisters before her. But Bria ain’t going quietly, okay? Especially not when the potential husband turns out to be Kylo “Lo” Crown: cold, dismissive, and handing out rules like he’s earned them. Yeah… she wasn’t going for that. 😂

Now let’s talk about Lo.
I’ve been waiting on his story since book one. He’s the unhinged, no-questions-asked shooter of the crew, and when I say I couldn’t imagine him as somebody’s husband?! Chile… he couldn’t either! That man was out here being the most emotionally unavailable husband ever—but still expected loyalty, commitment, and obedience?? Sir, be for real.

So when Bria stepped out and got a little attention from someone else (👀) … I wasn’t mad at her. The marriage was just a title at that point and my girl tried. You saw how fast Lo got his act together after that though, right? Exactly.

Now let’s get into that secret that had Lo not speaking to his parents for twenty years. Look—I sympathize, I really do. But whew… 20 YEARS? Over that? I’m sorry but I couldn’t fully understand the silence, especially when his family had been nothing but loving and solid from the jump. I get it… but also? I don’t. It felt a little dragged.

And Bria?? Still talking to Maddie at the end?? Ma’am, why are you in communication with that woman?! Ada should’ve lit her ass up for this disloyalty 😂

But all that said, I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a solid conclusion to the series. Watching Kylo finally face his demons and open himself up to being chosen and loved was actually so beautiful to witness. He’s still a little delulu, but he’s trying—and I respect the growth.

4.5 stars. Spice, chaos, healing, and a man who had to lose before he could love. Charae did her big one with this finale.

his anchor😘🥰

One things for certain and two things for sure, if Charae writes it, I’m reading it! Forever His Anchor was everything I yearn for in my books. A book bae (Lo) who is no nonsense, a leader, and willing to learn how to love. Bria is the perfect match for Lo, she challenges him, knows her worth, and subsequently submits to him.🤌🏾
The book was perfectly executed; an arranged marriage, deep dark secrets, and years of family drama. I knew from the previous books that something traumatic had happened to Lo but I never imagined the situation would be as painful as it was. Lo spent years harboring feelings of being broken, misunderstood, and neglected by his parents and it made sense once he exposed the truth. I felt awful for Lo, but glad he felt that Bria was worthy of knowing the truth. The marriage wasn’t easy but it was worth it for the both of them - even when Bria thought she could play Lo for the next one, 😩. I guess the ballerina wasn’t so perfect after all, lol! Charae does a great job balancing her books with realist situations, healing, and resolutions, with a good mix of humor, spice and drama. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

KYLO & BRIA ❤️

I loved Kylo and Bria together. Bria was definitely not the type of girl Kylo was used to. She was not letting him handle her like he did all his other women. I think that's what intrigued Kylo more about her. Their back and forth was a little irritating, but you knew that was their way of holding back their feelings. I wanted to know Kylo's story and why the disdain for his parents, and I'm glad it comes out in this story. Maddy was wrong, too, with how she used Kylo situation against his parents. This story gave reconciliation, closer, family, and new love. Great series I highly recommend reading.

— I knew from book one, that Kylo had a story to tell. This was a good wrap for the series. The twins have a special place in my heart. I’m glad Lo finally received the answered and healing he deserved.
— The arranged marriage trope gets me every time when I watch the couple actually fall for one another wholeheartedly. Loved the connection between Lo and Bria.
— Once again, Ada and Tori never disappoints. Lol

Nah

Nah. I didn’t mind the other two books but this one didn’t do it for me. Didn’t feel it. Wanted better for the lost soul Lo and Bria was not it. Spoiler: you cannot start relationships on lies and deception. The foundation already have cracked nothing after that sell the romance for me. Very disappointed with this one.

A Mobster and his Ballerina

Here’s a cleaned-up and more polished version of your review with a touch of drama and emotion to match your tone:

---

I just finished *Forever His Anchor* by Charae Lewis, and I absolutely loved it! While there are two books that come before this one, you don’t *have* to read them in order—but doing so definitely makes the storyline flow better and helps answer some lingering questions from book one.

Now listen… if there’s an arranged marriage *and* a mob involved, I’m *reading* it—no questions asked!

Kylo, a mob member, only agreed to marriage because it was expected of him. Love wasn’t on the table—he had completely shut his heart off. For him, it was strictly business. Bria, on the other hand, was a strong-willed ballerina who married for her family, but deep down, she wanted it *all*—a husband, a family, kids, and real, lasting love.

Two headstrong people with completely different views on love and family? Whew, the tension was *everything*! This book had my emotions all over the place—I cried, I laughed, and I smiled big. Bria danced her way right into Kylo’s guarded heart, and once she was in, there was no turning back.

Kylo had some deep wounds and real issues, but I’m so glad he faced those demons head-on. Make sure you read the trigger warnings before diving in, but trust me—this story is *so* worth it.

Definitely a 5-star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WOW!!!! What a finale..

Just like in all recitals and plays, when you have a good one, and the finale is bomb, you always yell and ask for an encore, and this is asking for an: ENCORE for sure 👍
All I can say is that I am so mad with myself for not reading this series in one sitting because baby, this was the best… MS. Lewis you put your foot in it just like a good stuffing on thanksgiving dinner, finger licking good.
I can only tell you each one of you to YES, grab this and read it all…
FYI: for me, this is my ranking lists: 1) is Meko’s story ( so cute and refreshing and gangster and BDE and just good vibes), then Devyn (was as cute but more practical) and then Lo (was soooo emotional and sad and then happy and then closure). Now this is me, go read them and see how your ranking will be. At least in Lo’s story, I think finally our FMC had a good solid family, that was a plus. I knew something was up with Maddy’s behind…, but oh well!!!

👑🩰👊🏾🩸♥️

I was always so intrigued by Kylo since book one. Lo was so guarded and just didn’t gaf. But his backstory makes you feel for him. You get to see why he’s the way he is. I felt so bad for him.

Bria saved him. She was empathetic, loving, and caring. She challenged him. Lo put her through it though 😂.

I’m always down for an Ada and Tori roast. They always have me weak.

I was disappointed in Maddy. I expected more from her. I see why she and Ada beef so much.

There was something always happening. There was never a dull moment. I do wish I could’ve seen where Lo told Devyn and Meco about what happened to him. They would’ve gotten a better understanding of him. My favorite out of the Crown brothers are the twins, hands down. This is the end. But nonetheless, this was a good way to end the series.

Lo and Bria were both crazy!

I knew coming into this book, Lo was dangerous and damaged, but this was more than even I could imagine! Lo truly had some demons within him, and Bria, being his wife, wasn't going to make them all disappear overnight. If anything, Lo had to actually fight to stay in his arranged marriage to Bria because she was also headstrong and knew her worth! I loved Bria, but even she was a bit too bold for me. Bria played with fire when it came to Lo and experienced something that taught her a valuable lesson: never to play with Lo again. The family dynamics on both sides were wild, but I am so happy for the way everything comes together for Lo and his parents. It's definitely a turn of events for sure! This was a wild ride, and I loved it, but I still believe book 2 is my favorite!! Can't wait for what Charae comes out with next!

Entertaining page after page

*“Forever His Anchor” was a pretty good read that really takes you on an emotional roller coaster. From the very beginning, the story pulls you in with the characters, the tension, and the way the emotions hit at exactly the right moments. Charae Lewis knows how to keep you invested, and this book definitely delivered on that.

The only thing I wish had been different was the aunt’s storyline toward the end. There was so much potential there, and I was hoping to see more of what could really go down instead of it stopping at her being cut off from the family. That extra depth would’ve taken the ending to another level.

Still, the book was engaging, emotional, and a strong addition to the Mob Love series — definitely worth the read.”*

Lo and behold this is the ish!!

Saved the best for last! I love all the Crown brothers but there is something about Lo. He was so misunderstood and deeply rooted in pain. I knew it had to been something traumatic that he experienced that had him so guarded. I’m so glad that he chose to marry Bria, they needed each other. He needed to be challenged and she was the one to do it. Lo’s character development was so bomb. Letting go and healing was much needed. And Maddy, I was shocked at her but the saying goes what goes around comes around. Overall, I enjoyed the book and wish there was another brother to continue the series, lol. Bomb read!!

Kylo & Bri-Bri 💕

I love a good arranged marriage trope. This book was really good. I loved the characters and their overall growth. The story also was very well written and developed. I got to learn what made Lo, Lo. Or what made Kylo, Lo. His character was so different than his brothers but in a good way. And I loved Bria for him. She was what he needed. Still love the gang especially Tori and Ada's relationships. But I will say I thought something of Maddy and thought it would play out that way but it was different. Maddy was something else man.

Traumatized

I love this series with these Crown brothers and the women who they love. Kylo’s story was so sad,to be traumatized for so long due to a lack of communication,is heartbreaking.I was confused about Maddy’s role , felt that it was more than jealousy.
Bria’s role was well written, loved that she had a loving family,,who aren’t perfect.
Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️no grammatical errors, loved this series.

This is a message for Charae Lewis not a review

This is not my first book by you I have read a few. But each one gets better Devyn’s book was good, Meco’s book was better but Lo’s book had me feeling every emotion! I cried, I laughed, I was frustrated! I felt for Lo and for Bri-Bri in different parts of the book! And they are definitely my favorite couple. This is a message to you, for you to keep writing! You are so talented.

Lo’s story was the best

This was my favorite story of all three brothers. I’m so glad Lo reconciled with his parents. Maddy was low down. She had to know that karma would come back tenfold. Bria was really it for Lo. She didn’t play any games with him and she was finally able to break down the walls he had up. I cried when I thought Lo and Ada both were going to die. Charae Lewis this was a great book.

I knew Lo would be my Fav!!

Lo is that Ninja!! I just love his meanness and BDE😍 I'm so glad Lo and his parents reconciled. Bria was just what he needed to begin the healing process. Ada was right about Maddy this whole time, using Lo's pain as a way to get back at Ada and Dax was awful and she didn't receive enough karma in my opinion. A great wrap up to the Mob Love Series!!

Yep…Lo’s the King

I’d waited for Lo’s story since Book 1. I knew there was more to him and I was not disappointed. He was charming yet tortured. Bria was exactly what he needed in partner—well outside of the sneakiness in the beginning. Whew… I’m feeling so many things that writing this review has me all over the place. JUST READ IT!

My man Lo!

I was really looking forward to reading Lo’s story and Ms. Lewis did not disappoint. This book was well written, flowed well, kept my attention and showed a side of Lo that I wasn’t expecting. I had bad feelings about Madddy from the very beginning and I’m glad that the truth was finally revealed. Lo and Bria were definitely made for each other.

umm, find somebody else.

Lo was EXTREME! Bria was ditzy. I don’t know what to say about these two…. I didn’t connect with either of them. I enjoyed finally learning what happened between Lo and his parents but wish that it was deeper than just surface of them rekindling… for the decades they didn’t speak, that healing and growth needed to be much powerful than what it was.

So Good

I waited anxiously for Kylo’s story as I wanted to find out his back story. As I started out reading I guessed it but man was I in for a shock? No way did I see aunty coming. Charae’s pen game is top tier and I’m here for it. Lo’s story was really great, definitely worth the read a five star is the minimum rating I could give it.
