Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was a Scottish writer and physician. He created the character Sherlock Holmes in 1887 for A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels and fifty-six short stories about Holmes and Dr. Watson. The Sherlock Holmes stories are milestones in the field of crime fiction.
Doyle was a prolific writer. In addition to the Holmes stories, his works include fantasy and science fiction stories about Professor Challenger, and humorous stories about the Napoleonic soldier Brigadier Gerard, as well as plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction, and historical novels. One of Doyle's early short stories, "J. Habakuk Jephson's Statement" (1884), helped to popularise the mystery of the brigantine Mary Celeste, found drifting at sea with no crew member aboard.

I saw this novel on the Kindle Store for free and thought that I would give it a read.I love Sherlock Holmes and thoroughly enjoyed reading the novels (A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of Four, The Hounds of the Baskervilles, The Valley of Fear), it took me a little while to get through them but it was well worth it in the end. Its a must read for fans of Sherlock Holmes. Apart from the spelling mistakes and some grammer mistakes that I kind of expect in ebooks, it was very well written, produced and edited. It had me hooked throughout reading all of them, there wasn't one that I really disliked.
I am quite surprised that I have had the stamina to read for many days and enjoyed this book more than I have read recently.it is amazing the way the writer was able to keep my undivided attention throughout all of the many pages.
The complete collection at such a bargain price although there are some negligible misspells and important illustrations missing such as in the case of dancing men but totally worth it.
This is a great collection of Sherlock Holmes cases. Great for those that are already fans or for those that want to discover the world of Sherlock Holmes.
Have read all of Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and probably others as well, just never bothered to put them in to amazon or goodreads, so dates wrong. Some KU some paperback some hardback some collections.
