A funny and touching story of a very special teddy
I promise you have never read a teddy bear book like this one! Sharon Edlin brings us a wonderful new teddy that will steal your heart, Shmoopie! This extra puffy bear is worried because he is not perfectly made like all the other teddies. Will he ever find his place? The story is touching and features some of the author’s trademark humor. I would highly recommend it to all kids and their parents. The author includes a little scavenger hunt for readers to find clues on every page. I’m already excited to read her next book! This is a wonderful book for anyone who ever felt insecure about being differently made and this story will inspire readers to embrace their personal differences.

Wow—what an absolutely PHENOMENAL children’s book! I’ve gifted this treasure to nearly everyone I know with young children, and without fail, it’s been adored. It’s especially become my go-to baby shower gift—every new parent lights up when they receive it! The companion activity book is pure genius, keeping little ones engaged while extending the heart of the story in such a fun and interactive way.

I really loved this book. The stuffed bear is such a cute character, and the story has a simple but important message about being yourself. It’s the kind of book kids will enjoy and parents will feel good about reading.

This book is such a cute children’s book! I work with kiddos, and I love the theme. 🙂 The characters are charming, and the change in colors after Schmoopie gets “home” are so fun! Definitely recommend.
